Absolutely the worst experience ever So many items of mine and my Family's items were broke so I contacted pods and they sent everything to the insurance company that I paid for and they say after seeing the pictures that their investigation was based off the pods container not having any damages, nothing was resolved the insurance that I paid for are crooks!!! You can't even find a direct Address even the BBB couldn't find them. What a joke all the way around. Also after having the pod only a week they took money from my bank stating that was for a months rent. Then had to wait for over a week for them to refund my money. read more

I have several issues to cover. (1) it takes over an hour on the phone to order one of these. It would appear very simple, but they cover so much 'up charge' information that it is a total waste of time. (2) my POD was delivered and I believe it is the very first POD ever put together. It is a plywood box framed with 4x4 posts and 4x6 posts going across the top (see pictures) - definitely not what is shown on there website and in their videos. The square footage is reduced by these beams significantly. There are 6 vertical posts and 3 horizontal posts across the top. (3) also when it was delivered, there was a MASSIVE OIL SLICK that runs the length of the POD. A wet oil spot that will soak into my boxes, mattresses, and anything else I have down that will absorbed oil. When I asked the driver about this she stated that this POD was used by a restaurant and the drivers had RED TAGGED this container, but the manager removed the RED TAG and gave it a GREEN TAG, which now I am paying for because I wasted my time and this is going to impact my schedule. (4) my POD was delivered at 7:30am and PODS doesn't open until 8am. There was NO CUSTOMER SERVICE until 8am to assist with my issue. I told the driver to inform her manager, so she called. I overheard the manager say "He'll just have to deal with it." (5) The driver could not take this POD because she was scheduled to pick up one after my drop. (6) I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SHE HUNG UP ON ME while I was explaining my issue. I called back and got a voicemail that said I had a 10 min wait to talk to a rep and then THAT HUNG UP ON ME. I called back to find a one hour wait, so I hung up and called back to get a 1 Minute wait. (7) I have been on the phone now for 26 minutes and they said they will try to get a container to me Monday (today is Saturday), which totally throws off my timeline. Excellent service from start to finish for my 1,300 mile move. Timely notifications, drivers were all knowledgable and communicated throughout the process. Came for deliveries and pickups at the designated time windows and received call from driver when 20-30 minutes out. POD was clean and easy to load and unload. This is a great company. I have used them several time in the last 5 years. The driver was so polite, and parked the pod perfectly. I'm going to start here and then after my move is complete, I'll update as needed. I'm very optimistic that'll I won't be going higher after a shaky start. For starters, my arrival time was between 1-4pm. The driver showed up at 7:10pm after calling at 7 saying he was 10 minutes away. While trying to get a hold of anyone in customer service after 4, trying to find out what was going on was a joke. Absolutely no help. All she kept say was he'll be there within the time mentioned, but this was already 30 minutes late, let alone 3 hours late. I don't even blame the driver, he tried his best and is clearly overworked. I blame the people who actually think 3 hours late is acceptable. Would these same people be okay if their doctor was 3 hours late with no explanation? Probably not. The driver is the only reason I'm starting this at a 1 star. I truly hope this place can turn this review around I really do, but I cannot over look how unhelpful customer service was on our POD ETA. read more

I am very dissapointed with the service. They were to be here yesterday. We waited all day and finally received a call at 7:30 saying the truck broke down. They were to be here this morning, so far, no call no show. We now have lost the workers who were to remove the drywalls today. My comment was for Rat Pack Pods...and it got even worse now they aren't coming until Sunday. They have caused us to lose helpers. read more

An extremely BAD service. Driver did not deliver the pod because the car was in the driveway. He could have knocked on the door to get the issue fixed. Instead he decided to drag our stuff around and took it back. Website malfunctioning. Customer service girl arguing. The girl who was taking my order could not understand what was asked of her. This is a "public service announcement." If you are moving or renovating do NOT use PODs. I did and I regret it -- my items were ruined by water and they did NOTHING for me. When we renovated our condo, our GC rented a POD and put our items in it. Four months later we opened the POD to discover major water damage. Over two feet of water had been in the POD. Nearly everything was ruined. PODs took the POD away, did their own test (not using a third party and didn't let us witness it) after which they said the POD was fine, and then refused to pay anything to compensate us. They said something about not being protected from "rising water," but there was no evidence that the water came in from the bottom, and how can TWO FEET of water be from just "rising water?" Look at these photos and ask yourself if that looks like "rising water." No one can be sure where or how the water got in, but isn't the point of a POD to protect yourself from the elements? They also sent out a new POD so we could store all the ruined items while the original POD was being tested and they charged us for it! BTW, the new POD was made differently and clearly superior to the water-logged one we ended up with, so clearly they knew our unit was defective. After months of waiting and discussing, we offered to split the cost with them and urged them to pay something just as a goodwill effort, but they refused to pay anything. They talked about legalities and precedents! PODs is more focused on saving every penny for themselves and protecting themselves against legal issues rather than "doing the right thing" for customers. My GC and I agree that we will never use PODs again. I didn't want to post this but I feel a moral obligation to warn everyone that you should not use PODs. There are tons of other reviews that say the same thing. Please share this broadly so everyone is aware of the risks of using PODs. read more

We shipped a large POD from Nevada and had to store till May. We were told 2-3 day notice is all that's needed for drop off for our family to get our belongings. While waiting online to schedule the audio message states at least 4 days are needed to schedule drop off. After waiting over 45 minutes we were told it would take 9 days. WTH is wrong with PODS timeline guidelines and schedule. We have never been updated on the time required changes. That would have been a simple email. We have our son flying across the country for no reason. He was going to help us unpack. It's had enough being in a strange city loving out of a hotel with a younger child with disabilities while we're seeking medical treatment here in Florida for a brain tumor. Are you kidding me. How much more would an email have made a difference? It would have saved us so much heartache, money and stress. PODs SUCK. Your business model a practices suck. This is not how you conduct business. read more

My experience with this PODS location has been great so far. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. The PODS call center experience has been great too from booking, pickup, and storage. No complaints here. We moved here from California and had our container shipped and stored here. I would recommend PODS for shipping and storage. read more

Just used PODS to move from FL to TX and all seemed to go well. We stored them until we found a home. So, they were in storage for about 3 months. So, ready to move into my new home and called them to start getting them delivered. Well, since we were a long distance move they needed 5 to 10 days to deliver. The PODS were already in Texas and in fact about 30 miles from my new house. So had to stay in the Hotel for another week. Then after unloading and called them to schedule the pick ups for them and it would talk another 5 days to get them. I asked for a refund of the time that we weren't using them and listen to this. I missed the cut off date by 1 day to get a full refund for 3 of them for this month. I mean I put a lot of money into them and then treat me like this over 1 day? Don't use PODS unless you are going from a house and right into a new house then maybe they would be ok. Very unhappy!!! Have to say that the Drivers were very helpful and very happy with them. I booked PODS because a friend had done a lot of research and said it was the most economical wAy to move. From beginning to end, and it's still not ending, it has been a disaster. I had 3 16ft and 1 10 ft container. One of the first thing was the third pod they dropped off smelled bad and was so old and rickety that one of my packers dislocated her shoulder pulling the door up. They failed to pick up the third pod which blocked the new tenants access to the house for 5 days, and parked the fourth pod in the street, which was against our covenants. Needless to say I had to pay my landlord a month of rent, $500 a day in fines and $200 association fine. I put my plants on the Pod and 4/5 of them died. No one told me it was going to take 15 days to move from Mpls to Florida. They moved the Pods to the wrong location, despite the fact that I called and changed the location. Now I have to drive over an hour each way to gain access to my Pods. While making my reservation I spoke to numerous agents. Each time I told them that I did not yet know where they would be delivered. Not once did a single agent inform me that if I didn't find a place I would have to pay storage fees. I have paid over $5500.00 in the past 3 months in storage fees. Now they are not in a temperature controlled or humidity free area they are literally dumped in the hot sun and stacked on top of each other. I had professional packers pack my Pods and when I opened one of them everything was moved and thrown about. I would assume all the times they are moving them, that it is not with much care. Which brings me to my final point. When you file a complaint, and I had 4,you are given to a "customer care specialist." This has been the biggest joke of all. My "specialist" had been the worst customer service agent that I have ever encountered. I have to call him 3-5 times, to get a hold of him. When he does finally call me it's only after I have yelled and screamed at a bunch of agents. He calls me about every 2-3 weeks, leaves a message that they are still working on my cases. It has been over 3 months and I have had zero resolution. I am out over $9,000.00 for all of the expenses that I incurred, and that is after I paid a great deal for the move itself. I have spent countless hours trying to get ahold of my customer care person, and to anyone that will listen. After asking over 25 times for a supervisor to call me, I have yet to hear from one. In 3 1/2 months. To date, I have no resolution and will be hiring an attorney. They manage to take money from my account with great accuracy, but offer little help with my claims. It is the most inept organization I have ever encountered. I would never use this company even if it was 1/2 price. I hope you take my advice and go another route. If I could give them no stars I would. My fiancé and I just moved from Chicago to Bradenton (half way across the country) with just essentials. Our pod was to be delivered yesterday. It was scheduled to be delivered between 10:45 and 1:45 and It never showed up. Was on the phone with customer service for over 7 hours just for them to tell us they rescheduled our pod to be delivered for Tuesday ( 5 days later ) and a pick up time of seven days later. As someone who moved into an apartment complex, we cannot have a storage pod longer than 48 hours. We told the customer service that and they said basically " oh that sucks" "we will see what we can do, no guarantees" . We talked to about 10 or more people yesterday and each of them told us our pod was still on its way up till 9pm. Around 8pm we were told "oh, the car had mechanical problems so sorry..." instead of putting us first on the list they scheduled us 5 days past our allotted time? With zero reimbursement whatsoever. "We're sorry you are going through this" is the response I got over and over...Someone really dropped the ball and my fiancé and I are left struggling . You need to fix your system because no one will book a pod with this service. 10/10 would not recommend . read more

I called this company Pods to get a quote. Their customer service was so good at selling me their product and sign a contract with them. But when it came down to real service it was completely the opposite of what they promised. And then I had an issue with my move and had to cancel the contract after three days. They still charged me full month of rent $229.34 and $100.00 cancelation fee. I paid all the fees and requested a morning pick up to free my driveway and not being able to be home in the afternoon. When I called to check on the driver Arrival estimated time their customer service agent told me that the pick up will be in the afternoon between 3 and 6 PM. What kind of service is that and I will let you be the judge. Moving is already stressful enough and this company made it even worse with their inconsideration and taking advantage of my situation.
