Generally miserable experience. What they did well was dropping off the pod in a timely fashion initially. The driver was nice and professional. The pod worked as advertised. That is where the positive feedback ends. The expectations of the customer are clear as mud. We left for our move, and despite them knowing where we are moving to, as it was a part of the quote process. They never moved the pod after the pickup date. It just sat at the warehouse nearby our old home. They never make it clear that you have to call them AGAIN and tell them to actually ship the pod. So it just sat there for almost 2 weeks. We were checking on our pod frequently and it appeared to be in transit, but no. It was completely still. They never say anything to you like "hey, i know you wanted your stuff by this date, is there a reason why you haven't called to have it moved?". Nope. Until we called them to check as we were approaching our expected arrival day did they say "oh yeah, its still in the warehouse". What the hell? I wish we knew we had to make that call. We finally get the pod to our new city, they never acknowledge anything other than "that's your problem idiot." As we couldn't have our pod shipped to our door due to the hilly nature of the city, we had to move it out ourselves. Making an appointment with them is a pain in the ass. If you try to make an appointment with the warehouse itself, or by calling pods customer service, you will get different dates. This makes reserving trucks even more annoying. Finally we got our stuff and have washed our hands clean of pods forever. We will never use their services again. If they were more clear with customer expectations, or tried to help at any of these road bumps, I would gladly accept responsibility. They couldn't care less. If you use them, just be prepared to call them often to make sure they are actually doing what they advertised to you. You might get your belongings faster than a month. read more

I wrote one lousy review for this company before, but wait. It gets better. After being a loyal customer for 3 1/2 years, they raised my rate by $30 per month without a 30-day notice, even though their contract states that they will give you a 30-day notice. I am a senior citizen on a limited income. When the charge almost caused my bank account to be overdrawn, I complained, and they said I could appeal it. I did but never heard a word from them. Shame on them. This is again, a hostage situation. One other thing, for anyone reading this. They took my belongings to Des Moines without telling me they had an Everett facility. I moved to Bothell, thinking it would only be 2-3 mos. But I'd have chosen Everett anyhow. After going to Des Moines to pick up belongings a couple of times, I paid $100 to have my pod moved to Everett. Ask about your options when you move. I will say that on the day of my move they showed up on time and were very good about setting up my pod to make it accessible. What a scam!! We packed my father's house up in two pods and were told when to have them empty so they could be picked up in time or else we would be charged for an additional month. We swiftly unpacked both pods and informed the company that they could be picked up and were told that they didn't have availability to pick the pods up for another 25 days so they would be charging us for a second month rental. There is no corporate contact, just a toll free number that leads to no support. My mother is a realtor and will be informing all of her clients and co-realtors of this scam. Don't do it! Very expensive and then they refused to deliver our pod to our new address....even though they assured us it would be no problem

We moved from Florida to Olympia Washington. The service in Florida was seamless. We ordered 2 16ft Pods and the drop off and pick up went like clockwork. Our first Pod came on the date promised. We waited all day for our second pod but it didn't arrive. No text, no phone call, nada. I finally called and found out that our Pod wouldn't be delivered and after speaking to a supervisor I was assured it would arrive on Monday. I had already hired helpers to unload the pod and they only had one pod to unload so because we didn't use the whole time, we were still charged $1k. We scheduled the movers to come back the next day and that was an additional $500. BUT once again, we were misinformed and now we are not getting our pod until tomorrow. After being assured it would be here today. I'm livid. I'm beginning to wonder if I will ever get my pod. We are out about $1000 due to their crappy service. read more

The initial PODS experience was great and the pick up went smoothly. However, PODS neglected to send out an important document for review and I was unaware there was a missing document. Instead of contacting me, they canceled my order and kept my POD at the storage facility without reaching out to me. It was delayed by 2 weeks and although the customer service rep that coordinated the rest of the shipping was helpful and he gave us options on what to ask PODS for to rectify the situation, but PODS deemed none of it was their fault and no extended use of the POD was given, even though it was only there for 2 days before pick up needed to happen. I'm hoping this isn't everyone else's experience. I think had everything gone as planned and the document was sent by PODS, it would have been the perfect solution for my needs. Here's my summary review, if you want the full details read on below. 1. Ridiculous, deceptive pricing and tons of wild fees. Soooo expensive for what you get. 2. Borderline scam-level lack of service - never bookable when you want and is liable to cancel or no-show and ruin your move. 3. Just look at their reviews here and on Google and there's no doubting that all of this is true. I was foolish and didn't read reviews before trying them out because I had seen the PODs on my street and thought, "Wow, that looks really convenient!". I was a fool - do not be like me. For both our initial move and then the drop off, we could not book a POD on the date we needed, even with multiple weeks notice. We made it work on the initial move by renting a UHaul and manually delivering stuff. Annoying, but doable. Then, on the other end of the move, I went to schedule my drop off because we finally bought a house and had a closing date. Oops, "No availability - how about 10 days after your move in date?". Wait, you're basically holding my stuff hostage and claiming it's my fault that I didn't have over a month of advance notice despite buying a house and managing all the other stuff in my life? Oh, and what's that, you won't offer any (small) discount or compensation for this trouble? Even discounted delivery? This company is a scam and must be run by soulless, greedy, evil people who have never had to move a thing themselves in their lives. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY! I ordered two large POD containers last Monday, April 21st to be delivered to our house on Friday, April 25th. I received confirmation that same day and booked airline tickets for my husband, our assistant and myself to fly from Southern California to Seattle on Thursday the 24th. I received two text messages from PODS on that same Thursday reminding me that if I changed our delivery time or cancelled after noon on the 24th I would be charged an additional 50% of the total fee. As soon as we landed I received another text message telling me that they had to reschedule our delivery to Monday the 28th. We had a tight schedule to get everything out of our home and into storage in order to start a 6 week mold remediation of our home. When I called to explain our tight timeline I was stuck discussing our issue with two un-empowered call center employees who both read from the same infuriating script repeating how sorry they were for the delay and how they understood how I was feeling. Without any recourse we rearranged our schedule and return flights to Southern Cal and waited to receive the time window of our delivery on Monday. We waited from 7 am - 10 am on Monday (the time window they gave me Sunday night) and finally at 11 am I called to find out how much longer I needed to wait. After being on hold for an hour I was told that they had to reschedule me for the following day. Fortunately, after reading ALL of the ONE STAR, TERRIBLE YELP REVIEWS for PODS (albeit too late), I found another company in the same area with almost ALL five star reviews. UNITS out of Kent, WA delivered two containers of the same size I had ordered on PODS that same afternoon. We moved from California to Washington and had a pods delivered to our home in order to help us move out of our home. The pod was delivered on time and when it came for the pick-up target date, Jimmy Zavala was our to do it guy. He called us in advance to assure we were ready. Once he arrived he was very friendly and wished us luck on our new move. He was also very careful when loading the pod with our remaining belongings. The absolute worst customer service. We found a house out of their service area west of Olympia, and customer service has "had a call into the regional manager" to give us a quote on how much it would be to have them delivered to us, or if that's even a possibility. That has been the past 2.5 weeks with a constant "we don't know, we have a call in". As of today, the customer service agent via chat said the no response should be considered a "no" and had no other information. At the time we had our belongings picked up, we were given a card from the delivery driver with his information and contact number. The driver said to call the local office, because customer service is worthless. When asked to get the local contact info for the regional manager we were told that was not an option and "there is no local number". At this point our furniture and belongings are being held and we have no idea what is going on. We are now filing complaints with the attorney generals office and better business bureau. Used this company to move into my new home and when unloading our pod of stuff that sat for about 5 months was destroyed or ruined in some way. All of my shelving units are unsteady and slant to one side or other when they obviously didn't do that before. Clothing items and wall decor items were faded in random spots from what I'm assuming is sun coming through. If the boxes are weather proof then I'm not sure how rain and other elements have ruined all of my stuff. I did make a claim almost a month ago now and still have heard zero back, was hung up on a few times when trying to get information on when I will hear back. One customer service person I spoke to told me that the pods are in fact not weather proof bc rain can still get in and the pods do leak, if I was told that for the start I never would have used them. My experience with PODS has been horrifying. I strongly caution and recommend looking elsewhere. Initial sales rep was extremely pushy and unknowledgeable. She did everything she could to make the sale on the call without giving us time to weigh our options. Ultimately misquoted us with the incorrect service for our area in Chicago. Found out just days before our cross country move (because we called PODS) that we needed City Service, which is an additional $600 charge. After the pickup, PODS over charged our account by hundreds of dollars, which we had to call in the address. At destination, PODS provided a drop off delivery window for us and we scheduled movers in accordance with this window. PODS changed the window without notification (we only found out because we called), which caused us to reschedule our movers. A ticket was opened to investigate the quote issue and provide credit for PODS' error. We called dozens of times over the last month for updates with no progress. Investigation ticket was just closed without any notification to us and we had to open a new investigation ticket to start this process over again. We are still due back several hundred dollars nearly one month since initial pickup. PODS has been completely uncommunicative and demonstrated a lack of understanding about their own product or any semblance of customer service. Use PODS at your own risk. read more

Pods Moving & Storage has been nothing but a nightmare resulting in incorrect charging to our credit card so far in the amount of $7,800. Everyone makes mistakes right, but this company's lack of communication and unwillingness to communicate is forcing us to file complaints with state attorney's general consumer protection in two states and to seek the advice of an attorney as well as to cancel two credit cards (one given as back up). And they still have three pods of ours that we now have to find some way to protect, because we won't be ready for them until the end of March and who knows what they will do with them, or if they are even where they say they are. One of their thoughtful employees caught shipping and billing error for me and initiated an investigation. They assigned an investigator to do the investigation. They closed the investigation without contacting me further, because I didn't respond with information, information they already had. They were not specific in a request for information and did not indicate the investigation would be closed without additional information. What happened is obvious through their own records. My guess is that no investigation took place prior to closing, but I was told via email I would be called with the results. I was waiting patiently, trying to be nice and cooperative, and didn't receive a response in the way of a phone call, recorded message, or email. After several weeks, I questioned via email about the progress of the investigation and did not receive a response. We have reported this a second time and sent a timeline of actions and charges to our card, and haven't received any notification that they even received it. I called and left a message for the investigator today. It's been several hours with no response. My advice if you are moving your belongings out of state, especially with more than one POD is to not use this company. Avoid it like the plague. There are two problems, the first is some less than competent call center employees who either don't know their system or are dealing with a problematic logistical system; and second, they have a near total lack of communication regarding problem solving. You will play hell getting a supervisor and will eventually be ignored. If you do get someone, in all likelihood they will have a difficult time resolving the issue and they have recorded calls with me that will verify this. If things went well for you with this company I am happy for you, but it seems to me that their inability to correct problems, deal with adjustments, and properly resolve disputes may be due to the number of disputes or complaints occurring. I can't even begin to explain the experience we had with Pod's! We sold everything in Des Moines Washington, packed up, and moved across the country to the state of Florida. We hired Pod's, ordered two 8 x 16 containers and we filled them to the brim! The Pod's drivers picking up and delivering were extremely professional, on time, experienced and nice! We made our trip across the country pulling our travel trailer and we are pretty sure we seen our pods in South Dakota on a truck ha ha ha. This is the way to go if you are moving! Pod's even gives you referrals, through hire a helper to help you load and unload your pods. We used them in Washington and in Florida. Amazing amazing unloaders and loaders! Not a scratch on our furniture when it arrived and not a scratch on our furniture from our movers. Just so so impressed with this company! We are so happy we did it this way! Great job Pod's! Be very careful of this company. It use to be a great company, but then it seems that it became greedy or it has very poor training and billing controls. I ordered a large container and realized that I needed a second one. The created TWO orders to get the commission versus placing the second on the first order (an associate even told me this over the phone-no joke). Then I asked for a quote to move them from the East Coast to the West Coast (my old address to this address). They charged my card and couldn't locate one container until one week later. That was disturbing. Then the delivered my containers to the Tacoma container store (not my address) and kept them for a week. During that time, they charged me rent for ONE month (I never asked it to stay in Tacoma). Then they charged me $498 for EACH container to be delivered to my address in Poulsbo, the same address I asked them to quote me for door to door. In all, I paid an extra $2,000 above and beyond the quote. So be VERY careful of their practices. Read the fine print and don't trust the sales associates. They receive commission for sales-the worst way to run a business because it creates dishonest associates and makes the company look bad-like now. I used Pods before, and it was never like this. Using this service has been a disaster since the beginning. Don't even think about booking them unless you know when you want your pod picked up and dropped off at the new location because dates are booked a month in advance. My quote was for $468 and now I've paid over a $1000. The website has been down and wouldn't let me login to do anything with my account since the beginning. I booked a Sunday delivery with two different customer service agents and on Sunday I called them and they said they don't deliver on Sunday's. Reaching PODS - Over the course of 3 weeks, I attempted to contact a representative (different times of day, as well as, different days) only to find out that a) there is never an agent available on PODS' website chat sessions, b) calls to their many, many phone numbers resulting in multiple hours sitting on hold and callback requests are ignored c) emails to customerservice@pods.com result in an automated response ONLY, NEVER an actual attempt to reply from a human. The worst part of this entire experience with PODS is that a container was delivered to my home, sat in my driveway for 24 hours, YET, I returned it EMPTY versus packing and moving to long term storage (which would have netted them approx. $375/month, indefinitely) due to the fact that I WOULD NEVER CONTINUE TO DO BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANY THAT BEHAVES AS PODS ENTERPRISES, LLC!!! our Pods (two 16 footers) were scheduled to arrive next Thursday. only one was delivered. the company chose to deliver it on Saturday (their busiest day). our delivery window on Saturday was 9:15am to 12:15pm. never arrived. multiple calls and chat conversations later we weee told it was "en route". we were told to wait till 730 (last delivery) and nothing. we had loaders loading up the first with several items left over. no one called to inform us that they were going to no show. and Sunday is a holiday. we have reschedule flights, work, cleaning and life while in limbo with our renters moving in. Moved from Florida to Washington state. They were 4 days late picking up my POD (from a gated community with strict parking rules). I filed a complaint and was left 1 message (a week later) saying that they had been trying to call me to talk about my complaint. I called back, left a message, and never heard back from them again concerning the complaint. I was told that my POD would make it to the storage facility on the 24th, but decided to check my account only to find that the POD had been delivered almost a week earlier. When I found out (on my own with no notification) that it had been delivered, I asked to have access on the same day. I was charged $25 for not having an appointment and was given a 3 hour window of time. I asked for an extension on my payment date for storage because I was going to be moving out and never planned on using the storage option. The customer service agent granted me a 3 day extension and stated that if I wasn't out by the 30th, I would be charged the storage fee. (If I had known the POD was already in WA, I would have unloaded it on the 22nd) Today is the 28th and my card has been charged for the storage fee. This entire experience has been frustrating, especially because hold times for customer service is over 30 minutes no matter what time you call. read more

DO NOT use this service! My family had numerous issues with PODS. We were charged an extra month (over $400) when we changed the pick-up date, even though I specifically asked if there would be an extra charge and was told no. Otherwise, I would not have changed the pick-up date. They also charge $50 for contents protection in transit and $50 for contents protection while the POD is just sitting there. I don't understand how contents can be damaged if it's not in transit. For delivery of the POD to new location, the company messed up TWICE. Original date was July 11, and it didn't arrive. The next available date for delivery, we were told, was July 20, and it still didn't arrive. It finally arrived on July 23rd, and the driver complained about getting lost twice. Meanwhile, my elderly parents were waiting for their furniture and belongings. My siblings and I made several phone calls during this time, and were hung up on twice when the rep was unable to explain why the POD wasn't delivered. I also asked to speak to a supervisor, and they didn't allow it. I was supposed to receive a call back, and never did. We are trying to dispute the charges, but were told it has to go under review, so you are unable to talk to anyone about compensation. The total was almost $4,500 for this terrible service. I highly recommend that you go with its competitor, U-Haul. My husband and I moved one month prior to this move, and used U-Haul with NO problem at all. It was also cheaper and easier. We moved across town and had a POD to store some of our things as the house was staged. We paid for many months of storage while the market recovered a bit and our house sold. PODS damaged our new house when they picked up the POD. Their process involved documenting the damage, describing the scenario, etc., only to be told the PODS contract absolves them of blame! BEWARE. I posted an earlier review which was one or two stars, and focused on the call center problems, not the Storage facility in Everett (in fact I actually went there and they were helpful).I am unable to locate that review, but want to follow-up on it in case it is viewable by someone. I have a four container move that involved a few months and a new transit location after delivery to the first location. The first two PODS went to Austin, and then our final destination changed to the Nashville area. Getting everything straightened out through the call center representatives (schedulers) was extremely difficult and in the end did not work such that I could be certain the situation was resolved. I've read several negative reviews and appreciate the frustration as I definitely felt some myself, and eventually had to figure out how to get their attention in a timely manner in order to resolve the issues. First, with one exception every employee, including those schedulers who frustrated me were clearly well trained regarding dealing with frustrated customers, and I talked with several. I did have one offer to call me back, I did not request it, and she did not call as near as I'm able to tell. Also, I was almost without exception put on hold, the last time for an aggregated time of about 1.5 hours. A great deal of my time was wasted, over several days, but I have to take the blame for some of it. When you're on hold for that long, you don't know if they're taking other calls or actually trying to solve the problem. One scheduler who put me on hold for a long period of time would come on occasionally and let me know she was still there. They have a process for complaint resolution and I did not follow it. I kept trying to get it resolved through schedulers and requesting a supervisor be put on the line, because it seemed quite simple, and I didn't want to complain. They will not put supervisor on the line. I'm old, that used to work, but it doesn't work with them and I suspect there is good reason for it. Once I was pulled into the established process, things went very well regarding problem solving. I've seen that most moving companies have negative reviews, some scathing. PODS does also, but once I put serious thought and reflection into my experience I realized that I am in a stressful situation, moving out of state, with all its associated problems, and that, while the latter part of my four container move was problematic, the first containers, delivery and transport went perfectly. I still have one more container coming hopefully without any hiccups, and at this point I expect it to go as great as the first two went. Can't say you won't have hiccups, but follow the procedures they have in place and you will save some time if not a disproportionate level of frustration. read more

I scheduled a POD to arrive at my house in Washington state on February 16th 2023 to be picked up on February 17th 2023 at which point the company assured me my pod would arrive in 2 weeks to my new house in Florida after it was picked up. My pod was picked up from my Washington house as scheduled then brought to a PODS facility where to this day of February 26 2023 is still sitting there. I have contacted PODS multiple times to find out when my pod would be delivered to my new home. One representative told me that the pod had not been picked up from the Washington facility because the payment had not been made. They have my payment card on file so I asked why they had not taken their payment. All they could tell me was that payment would process within 24 hours. It did not. To this day they still have no processed payment so I contacted them again and this time the agent set up a delivery date for March 15th. If they deliver the pod on March 15th, my pod with all my belongings including beds, tvs, clothing and basic living needs will have been in their possession for an entire month when I was promised 2 weeks. Because the pod is running so late they want to pick it up only 2 days after they deliver it to avoid charging me an extra month of pod rent. I should not be penalized and charged extra rent or have to unload my pod in 2 days because of their unprofessionalism and not keeping their time line. I contacted PODS Moving & Storage on June 2nd for a 12' unit to be delivered on Monday the 19th which would sit in the driveway for about a month as our existing sheds will be demolished and replaced in July. On Sunday I received an email identifying the 3-hour window for the next day, but a couple hours before delivery, PODS called to say there was a problem at the distribution center so they rescheduled for Wednesday the 21st. On Tuesday night I received an email stating delivery between 8:30-11:30am the next day, however the POD did not arrive and there was no communication as to why. At 11:40am on Wednesday I called PODS and waited on hold for 1 hour 58 minutes before my call was answered. The representative was apologetic and polite, stating that there had been a problem with the vehicle. She could not reschedule for the next day as the local distributor was completely booked, so I was told the POD would be delivered on Friday the 23rd. I asked for it to arrive as early as possible since I was now 4 days behind in packing, so she made a note requesting a 7-10am delivery for Friday. On Friday morning I was up at 6:30am in anticipation of my PODS delivery. I had not received an email the night before so I called to check the delivery time. The automated system said my PODS unit would be delivered on Saturday the 24th, not Friday. I again contacted PODS and waited on hold for 1 hour 46 minutes until my call was answered. The representative was apologetic and said she'd submit a claim for some kind of compensation. I said what I really wanted was these 4 or 5 days back as now we would be almost a week behind on packing. I asked if I'd be able to speak with someone that day about getting some sort of discounted pricing for our loss due to their scheduling problems, but the standard time frame is 7-10 working days. My problem with that was if the PODS unit arrived on Saturday morning, my credit card would be charged the full 1 month cost and then I'd have to wait a week or more to find out what kind of discount they decided I would get, if any at all. She offered to contact the local distributor to see about getting a PODS unit to me that day, but I'd had enough. I asked her to please cancel my order and I would take my chances with another vendor. The rep apologized again then stated she would waive my cancellation fee. How generous. Giving 2 stars here because the POD was there when I needed it and it served the purpose. We scheduled the POD to be picked up on the 27th of February. The driver came and tried to pick it up, the ground was to soft and the machine to lift the POD kept sinking. He gave us a his number to get in touch and he said he would be back to try again when the ground wasn't so soft. Great! It's been dry (no rain) for a couple days, the ground is firm enough to drive on without sinking, we have tried calling the office for 3 days and the guy that originally came to pick it up multiple times, because it is supposed to rain this week. No one has called us back nor made any attempt to retrieve the POD. At what point does this become my permanent storage unit? :) Communication is key to any business... These guys are awful I would've said they would have been decent but they were supposed to be here to pick up a pod in the first part of the day and here we are 4 o'clock and they're finally going to show up. I had realtors coming to take pictures of the house and other final work that needed to be done and it is now postponed the listing of my house three days because of their lack of customer service or care for the customer. Do NOT use this company. The sales team is great and from there it's a nightmare. The manager actually locked the movers out and would not come out. He acknowledged to customer service that they were there then ignored them. It is an unreal experience. No way to describe how horrible this company handles their customers once the customers paid. I was a little surprised to read all the bad reviews of PODS. My experience was generally pretty good. First of all, PODS is a great solution to a common moving situation: you need to move out of your old house before you have a new place to move in to. The typical solution would be to either hire a moving company to move move your stuff in to storage facility or rent a truck and do it yourself. Either way, it's either a lot of money or a lot of work since you are touching your stuff four times. With PODS you only touch it twice. In addition you have a lot more flexibility in terms of time to load and unload your stuff since you can keep the POD as long as you want. I also found the POD fees to be very competitive with renting a self-storage space. The PODS website is very easy to use and flexible when I needed to make changes to pick-up/drop-off dates. I rented 3 PODS, all dropped-off and picked-up at different times, so a total of 12 different times. All but one were within the stated window and the one that wasn't was only a few minutes late. However, despite what they tell you, you do need to be there when they do the drop-off because there is paperwork they want you to sign (more on that below). My one quibble is that PODS isn't very transparent on their physical requirements for the pick-up and drop-off locations. The PODS technology is remarkable however it requires reasonably flat streets and driveways. I lived on a steep street but had a reasonably flat driveway. I also wanted to have two of the three PODS delivered at the same time. In reading the pick-up/drop-off site criteria on their website my house appeared to meet the requirements, although it was tight. When I made the reservations I went out of my way to describe my house to the telephone representative who assured me that it would be OK. I was concerned enough that about a week before the first delivery I called again to confirm that it would be acceptable. However when the first truck arrived to drop off the POD the driver told me that, not only would it not accommodate two PODS, he wasn't even sure whether they could do one! Ultimately he figured it out and I thought I was home free and I had enough slack in my moving schedule to be able to load the PODS one at a time rather than two then one. However when the second POD arrived the driver was even more concerned than the first and made me sign a liability waiver before he would drop-off the POD. This was the first I had heard of it and felt I had no choice but to sign. At the end of the day it worked-out fine but there were some tense moments. It would have been a disaster if they had refused to deliver the containers as I was committed to a moving schedule and would not have had time to make alternative arrangements. The saving grace in all of that is that prior to my POD delivery I was contacted by the local management team so I had someone to reach out to if necessary. They were very helpful and easy to get a hold of. I will say that the local PODS employees were openly critical of the national call center people that handle your initial reservation saying that they had no knowledge of the actual delivery logistics so had a tendency to agree to situations that were problematic. That said, the local on-the-ground people were great and worked hard to find a way to make it work. So, in summary, PODS is great but be aware that it's not for everyone. If you have a completely flat street and driveway, you're home free. If you don't, you need to think hard aboiut whether PODS will work. I'm not sure how you assure yourself of this though. As I mentioned, I went out of my way to try and make sure my site was OK but there were still issues. Perhaps it would be possible to get the call center people to put you in touch with the local folks who know what they're doing. Lastly, be aware of the fact that even if your pick-up location is OK you have to be comfortable that your ultimate delivery location will be too. read more

0 STARS! Let realtors know NOT to recommend this moving company. Dont use use pods they are a disgusting joke and expensive and will not work with you an inch. They wouldnt deliver to our house which is the only reason we chose pods and now everything is getting ruined in the rain while they have an open empty garage space they wont let us use. We paid 4,000 to drive 2 hours from our house, rent a DAMN uhaul truck, and have our stuff and electronics ruined from water. 1 star rating coming to you guys , from your riverside location and Des Moines !! While arriving here and asking for our pod, the warehouse guys first decided it was lunch time, another guy thought it was "bum a cig from my dad" time. Negative stars. We made a delivery date to have our Pods delivered only to find out they will deliver it whenever they want. My family of five is without their beds and belongings until maybe next week. Maybe. They couldn't give us a definite answer. It was scheduled to be delivered on Friday the 3rd. We may not see our things until the 14th or 16th. Don't bother using the calendar scheduler provided on their website or call customer service. Don't bother hiring this business at all. They have taken no responsibility for their errors. I assume they overbook themselves. I can only assume that is their issue but I won't know because we will never ever hire them again. For a cross country move, you're much better off renting a UHaul. I really thoughts PODS was gonna be the best option and it started out great in Chicago. The truck was on time, they stored it one month for me while I looked for an apartment in Seattle and the process to access the POD after it was stored was seamless. Then I got to Seattle and it became a nightmare. I called on June 25th to get my POD delivered and they told me the earliest they could deliver it is July 8th, making me pay for another month of storage. Fine, whatever. They say they'll drop it off in the morning and pick it up in the evening. Then 3 DAYS BEFORE they deliver, they call and say they can't actually pick the empty POD up until JULY 15!! What?? I can't have a POD on my street for that long! I called multiple times, they said they would escalate, but I never heard word back. When they come to drop the POD off on July 8th, I ask about the pick up date and they say now I have to wait until July 29th for them to pick it up! So here I am on July 28th with an empty POD that's been blocking my street for 20 days scheduled to be picked up tomorrow. The WORST PART is that they charged me for ANOTHER MONTH of storage yesterday. For a POD that has been empty and ready to be picked up since July 8th, that they told me would be picked up July 8th, then July 15th, and now crossing my fingers that it actually gets picked up tomorrow. It has been hell and I do not recommend PODS to anyone moving cross country. read more
