My first time going to a "Belgian Restaurant" Food was good! We tried the mussels, the cheese board with accompaniments, the croque monsieur, and the carbonnade flamande. The food was good but not "great". The sandwich was lacking ham, there was barely any on on it and the ham was overcooked. Mussels that my fiancé raved about and called best in the city were just good. Again--not exceptional. He even said they're usually better (he's dined here before, I haven't) The Carbonnnade flamanade was great! Their fries were also fantastic. Our cheese board was also good (aside from me not liking blue cheese and it having blue cheese on it) Overall, I really liked it but it's not my favorite in the city or anything like that. Good not great. Our service was really good and the server was attentive, that alone meant a lot to me. The ambiance is also nice and we enjoyed sitting outside

This is the kind of place where you grab a few friends or a loved one and sit in a cozy table while you order one of everything to share. Oh man! The food is made from scratch and is flavorful. The restaurant is cozy with the kindest and most knowledgeable staff. Also, trust me and get the fries. I don't care about any diet you might be on. Just do it! They are divine.

Yeah we came back again for the brunch. They already have the outdoor seating setup in this spring. The mussels + frites were my favorite.

Absolute favorite stop for Belgium beer and mussels are the best in the city and beyond! Lots of good choices! Frittes with basil mayo is tasty. Grilled artichokes very good. Love it here! Thank you to Breezy, our wonderful server!

Really cute and classy European style cafe. Love the vibes inside. Went with my family for a quick lunch after my graduation ceremony :') We didn't have a reservation but we didn't have to wait too long to get seated. Once we ordered, the food came out fast. Everything was tasty and flavorful! We weren't too hungry so we only ordered three dishes/apps to share. I love the plating here so much -- it's so unpretentious which makes it really beautiful. Great spot for a lunch, but I'd come hungrier next time to try more of the menu!

My favorite mussels in the Pittsburgh let alone anywhere else I've traveled. Service is solid. Place can get busy and loud. Small business feel in a good way. They do not take a reservation so good place to go when you don't want to get a reservation but at the same time regular dinner hours can lead to waits. Also a big fan of their steak and frites. Their dipping sauce for the fries is like a garlic Aioli that is out of this world.

This is THE place to go if you love mussels. Tonight I had the red curry sauce and my friend had the traditional white wine sauce. And you have to have pommels frites with the mayonnaise dipping sauce. Heaven! The red curry had just the right spice. Our server was new and he did okay but somewhere between us ordering our drinks and actually getting them, something went wrong. We didn't get them until we were almost finished eating. He apologized and took the fries off our bill. The place is small and doesn't take reservations and it was consistently busy

Great service and great moules frites! The red curry has a slight kick and it's very good! The table next to us ordered the Mediterranean platter which looked amazing. These were very large portions and the staff were all very friendly. The food does take a little time to come out and I wished they gave you table bread while you waited. Warning that it's COLD inside!

Fantastic vibe in there as well, cool lighting (although something from up above kept falling). It's a highly acclaimed place for a reason. I got to try their beet soup (borscht), tea, potato pancake, and rice pudding dessert. The menu changes decently consistently I believe, and I did visit a little while ago, for notice. The food was very tasty. Huge potato pancake that was cooked perfectly with a nice topping of what I can only describe as vegan sour cream and some sort of very flavorful vegetables. I quite liked it, surprisingly tasty and creamy topping. Now the borscht, which I tend to be picky with, was just okay. The number one detractor for the borscht was the salt level. The food is just far, far too salty (the pancake was pretty salty too). Other than that, quite good. Love the side of rye. The dessert was very good. Surprisingly light. Came with a little caramelized baked fruit on top (apple/pear, something like that). Rice was reasonably creamy and very flavorful. So good! All in all, a nice spot for a nice dinner. Especially great for vegans. However, the food did taste too salty for my liking.

I decided to get the Antwerp with Nutella ice cream. It was just stellar. The waffles here are not the typical soggy grocery store ones. No, they are made in house and are liege waffles. Toppings include whipped cream, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, bananas, Nutella, Speculoos, Belgian chocolate, caramel, dark chocolate shell, and the business's small-batch flavors of ice creams. During my recent visit, an employee promptly and politely served me. I ordered one Ghent waffle for $6.31 plus tax and tip. The employee made the waffle fresh in a reasonable time. Some indoor tables and chairs were available, so I sat down to eat. My Ghent waffle was nicely chewy and was topped with delicious Speculoos/Biscoff shortbread spread and slices of bananas. I rate it as 5 stars. Waffallonia's website says that 100% of their electricity is supplied from renewable sources and that they use compostable plates and recycled materials--other reasons to like them!

The cool vibe restaurant is tucked away up a short flight of stairs on Filbert Street. It gives the place a cozy, hideaway feel with brick walls and murals. It's pretty popular, so you might have to wait a few minutes for a table, but it moves pretty quick. The menu focuses heavily on crepes and French toast, and they do both very well. I went for a savory crepe that was loaded with eggs and topped with a rich sauce and diced vegetables. It came with a side of fresh fruit which was a nice touch. We also ordered a sweet crepe to share. It was beautifully presented with chocolate drizzle, berry sauce, and a massive pile of whipped cream. The coffee is solid too. Verdict: This is a consistent and reliable brunch spot. It was the perfect way to kick off my trip. I will definitely be back next time I am in town.

But the star of the show for me is the Shakshouka. I have gotten it the last 2 times I went. You also have to try their Dirty Chai. My only critique is the hostess at the front. She appeared overwhelmed by her role and was not warm. We were actually told by the waiters that "she is serious about her list". Which would be great if she managed it effectively. When I brought concerns that we had been pushed down the list 3 times for other parties. She responded "well, how do you know that" to which I responded "we watched you take their names down after ours and sit them before us". Her response was to shoo me off and tell me to go find a table myself; to which I did. But what a poor way to manage your stress, responsibility, and consumers. On the bright side my waiter/waitress was awesome per usual.
