Date night at Mullet's last night! It was so vibey and everyone was so nice! We got the provolone cheese wheel to start, and it is so crispy and good! Then, we both got a fried chicken sandwich, one of them being buffalo style. I got the brisket fries as my side, and they accidentally made us a whole appetizer plate, but they were so nice and just gave it to us anyways! The BBQ sauce on the fries was so light and yum! I've never had sauce like that before. Then she got a side of sweet potato fries that were so good! To finish, we got the homemade GF olive oil cake that had a blood orange sauce, and they should definitely be proud of it. It was so good! We liked the regular chicken sandwich over the buffalo! Not bad, the sauce was actually really good. It was just messier and took away that nice crunch that the chicken has. They have pretty much a whole GF chicken, so it's nice to be able to eat good food and feel safe about it! Love it here!!

My friend and I stopped in here on a Friday night for a cocktail while we were waiting for our takeout order at another restaurant. The place was pretty busy but the service staff were so nice and accommodating! They take such a unique selection of cocktail options that rotate monthly. Our drinks were great and reasonably priced. Our experience here overall was great! Would definitely come back to try some food next time.

I wasn't super hungry so I was looking for light options. The brisket crostini was light and seasoned perfectly-- the combination of flavors was savory and perfect. The salad was crisp and the dressing (homemade) was tangy which paired well with the brisket. There was a bit of pepper or some spicy seasoning in the dressing that was powerful but not to the point that it disappointed or amended the flavor. It is a casual spot but can be a great low-key date night spot too. The service was friendly and spacious. Definitely a delight and I look forward to returning!

I had heard good things about this place so I wanted to check it out. When I browsed the menu online I found out the ENTIRE menu is Gluten Free with the option to not get gluten free which is opposite of what it normally would be! The food was amazing! I love that they also have Gluten Free beer which is nice. The servers were really nice! And very knowledgeable. The restaurant itself is really cute and quaint. Not that many tables but its upscale but not too uppity. It's very comfortable. The prices aren't bad either and its big portion sizes and totally worth it. I will be back!

This is one of my favorite places in the South Hills. The cocktails are nothing short of incredible. The staff are all amazingly friendly and super skilled at what they do, which is evident by their incredible and creative rotating cocktail menu. Food is stellar as well. If you're gluten free this is absolutely your place as everything is either already GF or can be made GF eith substitutes. I would highly recommend the crispy pork belly, the brisket crostini, and the crispy brussels sprouts. As for the sandwiches, you can't go wrong. The smashburger and Bahn mi are two of my favorites. Sub a cup of the chili as your side...you won't regret it (well, the fries are great so you may have fomo). The one tip i have is that the place is small so go early, especially if you're rolling 4+ deep. Fridays and Saturdays always have a wait so please be patient. The owners Colin and Marissa are amazing, as is the rest of the bartending staff, AJ, Katie, and Bobby. And don't forget a round for the hard working kitchen staff before you leave!

Nice little place in Mt Lebo for some gluten free snacks and interesting well thought out cocktails! I've been told to try the gluten free chicken tenders , and I can't wait to try that on our next visit! This time around we did the hummus app and the pork belly, both were excellent, and I appreciate the gf availability!

Awesome bar with great food. Very allergy friendly with a clearly marked menu. Everyone on the staff was friendly and attentive. I had the burger which was phenomenal and the rest of my group had the Picklesburgh chicken special and enjoyed. Will definitely be back, it does fill up quickly fyi!

    Fried chicken sandwich (half)

Wings were just ok - 5/10. They have a Smokey flavor which is not my favorite. The fried chicken sandwich was bad - 1/10. The piece of chicken was extremely small, most of it was fried breading on a bun with coleslaw and a pickle, barely any meat and cost $19. Also, If you prefer a chicken breast, do not get this sandwich. Atmosphere is nice.

I found out about Mullets from my local NextDoor gluten free group. I am so happy that I did! I was in disbelief that they were a gluten free kitchen, it seemed too good to be true. Service was amazing, and the food was some of the best food I've had in a while. I almost cried when the fried provolone wheel came out, it was so beautiful. There were gluten free croutons! I wish I lived closer, because I would be there every day for dinner. There are a lot of options to try. I felt special because for once, my boyfriend had to make a special request for a non gluten free bun and gluten free was the standard order! Ambience made it feel like a speak easy. My only complaint is the chairs felt a bit wobbly and I was afraid I was going to break it, but I didn't, so it all worked out. We went on a Sunday evening and service was great. We will definitely be back!!,

(Sitting at the bar is the best!) We started with Bartender's choice (which is always a good idea if you're at a specialty cocktail bar), and we both loved what we got! They made me a Juliet & Romeo, which was gin, cucumber, mint, etc. they made my fiancé a Safe Return, which was bourbon, pineapple, cinnamon, etc. (didn't write down the ingredients so can't remember it all lol) I also got the classic Last Word, which was great! They didn't include the maraschino cherry garnish which made me sad, but I lived lol. I also tried the Euro Trip from their specialty menu, and it was delicious and very spicy from the ginger. They also had their own barrel select of Knob Creek, which my fiancé tried - so cool! The bartenders were super chill and the ambiance was great! A little pricey but worth it.

While technically not a true speakeasy in the sense of hidden doors and secret codes, it is amazing. You do have to "look" for it. From the street not an easy spot. But you will be so glad you found it. True craft cocktails with knowledgeable, accessible staff. We had wonderful conversation and superb drinks. I am sorry to forget our bartenders name but she was a professional (I hope she enjoyed Detroit) Not a pretentious place, just good people.

They're located in Dormont, which makes this a walkable brewery for me (thanks to having friends and family in the area!). A friend and I did indeed walk over to catch up on a recent Friday. The place was surprisingly quiet - my friend mentioned that they get VERY busy during the summer, when people attend events across the road and want to buy beer to go with their market and/or food truck purchases. Speaking of food trucks, Hibachi Lou was parked out front on this particular Friday. So my friend and I got our hibachi orders at the truck out front; ordered our beer and/or cider from the bar; and took everything to a table in Back Alley's dining area to enjoy. While the place wasn't packed it wasn't empty, either; families and groups of friends were playing board games at every other table or so. So, what did I think about the drinks? I'm really glad Back Alley had Arsenal Cider on tap - I ordered a glass as my "sweet treat"/dessert after dinner. First though, I decided to try a beer. Back Alley, if you see this: I'm a BIG fan of sour beers and would order those if they're on the menu in the future! As of now though, no sour beers, so I ordered a "Snowed In" - Back Alley's spiced winter ale. It was a dark beer with a blend of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, hence the "spiced" moniker. While not something I normally seek out, I really enjoyed it and am glad I tried it! Altogether, it was a 10/10 experience - I'm so glad my friend and I came here for our Friday together. I'll be back!
