The "tech" was very confident he could remove the hitch ball. Although he was able to remove it by beating on it he lit the plastic above the mount on fire several times causing it to melt and deform. Then when the "tech" went to put all four wheels back on he broke six lug nuts off of three of the hubs. I had to get it towed by my tow company I use. They claimed it was the previous shop who did work on my truck last that tightened the lug nuts down too much causing them to break off. Even is that was remotely true why would the tech continue to use an air gun on all of the lug nuts after breaking the first one off. He kept going to see how many he could break. The service manager denied responsibility for the damage and said the repairs were on me. I wasn't going to argue with the manager or "tech" so I brought my truck to my shop who fixed the studs. Over $800 later took them all day to fix mavis damage. Why couldn't they offer to replace the studs there? I called corporate and the regional manager returned my call after a week and a half off me reaching out to the number provided here on the Yelp reply. The regional manager resolved the ticket with satisfactory outcome.

Pleasant where I reside & afterwards, the car was towed approximately 1.5 miles to Ocean Bay Auto Body also in Pt. Pleasant. There are 4 cars in my household & unfortunately because my son's car is a 2011 model; we only have basic liability coverage. His only saving grace is the fact that the accident was caused by the other driver running a stop sign. We're hopeful that the other insurance will cover damages. What has irked me most regarding all this; is the fact that when I went to Ocean Bay Auto Body the very next day to retrieve the vehicle, the price quoted to me by Ted the owner was $1,180.00 !!!!! I find it mind boggling that the township I love so much would contract this shop to do its towing. I called a secondary tow service here in town to pick up the car & drop it off at my house which again, is roughly 1.5 miles away. Their charge was $140 complete & when I showed the driver of this secondary service the fee charged by Ocean Bay; the guy looked me in the eye & stated that this was criminal in nature. I took the time to read through the reviews for Ocean Bay here on Yelp & to be honest I don't believe not one of them. I believe they're all mostly fabrications. Honestly, I hope that Karma catches up with Ted for his highly unethical business practices. My next correspondence will be to township council president & Mayor regarding this matter.
