The good: - I purchased this condo as a single woman and it was a great stepping stone into home ownership. [I now own a house in Oakland and a house is a LOT more work.] Bayside always made me feel safe ... multiple layers of security (locked doors, gates etc) and that peace of mind is priceless. - Great location (convenient to the freeway) and residents are eligible for the Albany school district (which I hear is very good). Casual carpool is right outside and for many years I commuted to San Francisco via carpool, the AC transit or walked to BART. - Lots of other good things to say - which were important to me as a home buyer, but then this would start to sound like my Craigslist ad! The bad: - The HOA fees are definitely high ($485 a month) - although it does include water, garbage and cable. That's money you can't write off. - Freeway noise - depending on which direction you face, although many of the units closer to the freeway have double pane windows. - Strict HOA rules around number of dogs, weight limit of your pets, and although this never impacted me - I always say posts about pool and hot tub usage. Probably less of an exercise lap pool and more of a pool for kids. The current office manager Paul is the best one I've seen since I've been there (I think that's been 3 different ones). He's certainly the most friendly and helpful. Or maybe he's just nicer to me b/c one time the trash bin got away and crushed my fiance's truck (srsly!) I am renting out my condo now b/c I intend to either move back one day or let my parents move in when they get a bit older - the Pacific East Mall is within walking distance.

Her task was daunting...to sell a small one bedroom cottage on a busy street. Sure, the house was cute and it had been fixed up to prime condition. Me, and that they have two units available I went in to do the application, at 3088 Pinole Valley Road Pinole, CA 94564 I also wrote a letter to explain my situation. And provided them a voucher I was told they should be getting in contact with me in two weeks, or probably sooner I didn't get a call or email coming into the third- week so on 3/2/2026 at 9:23am I called. The lady told me that they rented one of the units and then she told me that another unit was still available and asked if I have a updated voucher. I then told her that I can't get an updated one because I have to put in a 30-day notice at my current place to get my updated one. But I am approved for a 3bed room do to my extended family. Remind you all of this is what I said in the letter when submitting my application She then tells me that's not true I know people that has there's basically telling me that I am a liar. I was very offended so she asked me again. Can I get an updated voucher today I then said I can try to go get something stating that I have a three-bedroom voucher so I went to the housing office, called her back at 11:13am the secretary picked up and said didn't you just talk to her. We already have two people in both of the units. I then told her that's not what she said. She then transferred me back to the lady I then put the Housing Authority on the phone. She talked with them and everything that she told the housing lady wasn't what she told me. She then proceeded and said we would have to wait for inspections an etc. but what I didn't understand was why she didn't tell me that why did she ask me to go get an updated voucher instead of saying you didn't get the place? After I went 45 minutes away to the housing place and waited in a long line and had to wait to talk with someone She didn't even apologize for calling me a liar after they told her the something I told her if you already know dealing with people with section 8 vouchers requires exceptions why let them apply these rental properties Been up for 84 days already and you're talking about waiting on inspection I was discriminated against. I didn't get a fair chance. This is unacceptable. I feel like I was racially profiled. The moment she got my application.
