    Small Poke Your Own Way

I've been to Poke Station near Northeastern a few times, but today really upset me. I picked mango, kimchi, and wonton chips--and they gave me literally one piece of each. I went back just hoping for a quick apology and the right amount of food. But the young woman with long hair who added my toppings just stared at me and said, "So do you want more?" No apology at all. Then an older lady nearby said I was making a big deal out of nothing, and a man even told me to just get a refund. From start to finish, not a single person apologized--not even a fake, polite one. That's what hurt the most. And honestly, I stayed calm the whole time. I really tried to be respectful. Really disappointed.

Large custom poke bowl with spicy salmon , spicy tuna and regular salmon

I have been coming to this place for 3 years. I used to go more often but I still visit if I am in the area. The portion sizes are fair and for the most part are consistent unless you go at night around closing. They have ran out of sushi rice before. The workers are quick and efficient. Also, poke bowls tastes even better after putting them in the fridge. This place is good for large portion sizes compared to most poke places

Solid poke place! I got the classic ahi tuna bowl. I was pleased with the amount of food. Rice was appropriately fluffy, and there was the right amount of sauce for flavor without drenching the whole bowl.

Great for a quick bite. Fresh ingredients, great portions whether you go with a small (2 protein choices) or a large (3 protein options). Service is quick and efficient no real waiting time.

I've been trying a bunch of poke places through Uber eats lately and this place was pretty good. Definitely will hit the spot and fill you up if you love poke. The tuna tasted very fresh and I really liked the citrus yuzu dressing. Overall this is a solid poke place if you've got a craving for it but I will admit I've had better from local places in Boston. A great compliment to staying in and playing Xbox after work.

I've been here for couple times, and I think it is a nice addition to NEU area which lacks the East Asian cuisines. I tried their Korean chicken wings, Japanese curry rice, and pokes. Chicken wings tasted good but there weren't much meat to eat, their wings seem pretty small compared to the wings from other restaurants. Curry was alright, on the blend side. Their pokes are not as good as Pokeworks but I think it has pretty good taste. The unique thing about toppings for this restaurant is that they have kimchi(although they spelled it wrong in menu??) and kimchi pickles, which usual poke places don't have. I like they have more options like that, tho. I would recommend getting medium(two proteins) instead of large(three proteins) as the amount of protein you get is not that different and medium portion is still sufficient to get full.

Fried Side of Taiwanese Pork Rice-- delicious!

This place is a solid 4/5! My favorite item is the sushi burrito. It's not very filling for the price, but it's just a nice tasty novelty item. It has tempura and kani salad, two of my favorite things! I also like the newspaper themed wrap it uses. The Taiwanese Pork fried rice was also yummy, I would get it again.

Fast and great service. Always come here for a quick meal before work. I recommend getting anything that has salmon in it. I personally live the spicy sake. People have stated that the fish is not great or fresh, however I view differently.

Great poke, at medium pricing. The guy kind of rushed me a bit cause it was my first time there and was looking at all the options.

Yummy poke bowls and chicken wings! The small is more than enough food for a big lunch or dinner.

My brother thought it was much better than the usual poke place he frequents.

I am always surprised at how full I am when I leave! I'm stuffed every time. There is complementary miso soup with all of the bowls I've tried, outlined below. I really loved all of the bowls I've tried but my favorites are probably the Sake Aisuru Don and Kuromon Don. I just prefer more salmon to more tuna though, and they're all very good! Food: - Sake Aisuru Don: their classic all-salmon bowl! I loved the larger cuts of salmon, and I was pleasantly surprised that even the more pulverized salmon was flavorful! - Kuromon Don: loved the yellowtail in this! Each fish comes with two pieces (except the mackerel for which there are four), and I liked the sampler style for the salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and izumidai. - Maguro Toro Don: so much tuna! And all such high quality. The otoro was so fatty that it practically melted in my mouth without chewing. - Sake Maguro Hamachi Don: a mix of salmon, blue fin tuna, and yellowtail. I liked the yellowtail in this a lot and found that it stood out the most from the other two fish in this particular bowl!

It was adequately busy but still had seats open. The lunch menu is very affordable! If you can, I'd highly recommend going for lunch instead of dinner. Service was really quick! Received my meal in like 5-7 mins after ordering. Fish was super fresh and I really liked the different textures in the Hoseki Don. I also added in negitoro. They gave me a big clump of it! The second time I went back, I ordered take out so I could eat it at the airport for dinner. I ordered the Sake Maguro Hamachi don, added ikura and negitoro. Again, so impressed with the quality of the fish and the size of it. They didn't skimp out and really enjoyed the thickness of the sashimi despite it only being 3 pieces. It was a very satiating bowl. Cant wait to come back next time again!

I was feeling a poke bowl after looking at all the options they had, so I walked back to Pokeworks. I've had Pokeworks before in the past & stopped going due to a bad experience at one of the other locations but decided to try it again this day. They have self ordering via tablet available here or can order at the front. I got a custom bowl with choice of two proteins: $17.25 -salmon -spicy tuna -spicy aioli sauce -mango -edamame -cucumber -wonton chips -tofu My order was made quickly! Overall, this bowl was okay. Not the best poke bowl I've had in Boston but the ingredients did taste fresh. To be honest, I was still hungry after finishing the bowl. I think Pokeworks is a decent place to go for a quick meal if you're in the area.

I asked about gluten free options because while the menu marks allergens like shellfish, gluten, vegan, and dairy, it only had labels in some areas like sauces. The staff was really helpful and said it would be easier to walk me through a build your own bowl, which was considerate and made things clearer. It's nice that you can choose two proteins here if you want, and the food was fresh and tasted really good. The bowl was very filling but still felt healthy, and I appreciated that calories were labeled too.
