Having lived in Hawaii the last 20 years, I'm always ready for poke, sushi, or "local" food. Visiting family in El Paso, I thought I'd give this place a try. I have to say, I was honestly, genuinely, and pleasantly surprised. The spicy ahi was on point and exactly what I was craving. The passionfruit/guava drink...man it hit the spot! The Poke Bar was extremely clean, and the workers were professional wi to a smile on their face, very welcoming. The only thing I would say is I wish they had real crab instead of imitation crab. Despite the imitation crab, I still have to give 5 stars. That should tell you this is definitely a place to try. I'll be back next time I visit. read more

Portion size was disappointing, unbelievably overpriced, and unsatisfying. Definitely won't be giving this place a second try, and I caution you from giving them a first. Hadn't had poke since last year and was about to go to the usual spot I go to down the street but noticed their reviews were pretty bad and decided to give this place a try. To put it simply, wow, this will be my new go to place ! Service was amazing ( I wish I had gotten the girl's name. All I know is she's worked there since the place opened, and was very kind and helpful throughout the whole process.) Brown rice was pillowy soft and I loved how it was separated from the protein. Other places slap everything together and warm up the protein quickly. Portions of protein were perfect and everything melded together quite superbly. Give this place a try. Very clean place with very fresh ingredients. The customer service was excellent and you could tell the owner/manager takes cleanliness very seriously as she was ensuring the team was changing their gloves and cleaning appropriately. I would have liked to have recomendaciones as to what they suggest is a good combination. I did like that so many options were included in the price and I wasn't charged extra for every little thing. This place was OK. It had a lot of options to choose from when it came to making your own poke bowl. I paid for a large bowl (4 scoops of fish), but the associate helping me didn't fill up the scoops all the way, so I definitely felt shorted. I definitely got 2.5 scoops of fish and paid for 4 scoops lol.... They are stingy with fish. I also asked for chopsticks and they told me that they ran out... How do you run out of chopsticks at a poke place??? Not a great experience overall. Really upset with our order tonight, we always eat from this location and have had no issues but that was not the case tonight. We ordered pick up over the phone and when we picked up our food our bowls were half full :( I only saw a small scoop of rice and no imitation crab meat. I called because this has never happened before, Eliza answered the phone and I was explaining to her my concerns she cuts me off and says I made your order and it's correct. She did explain that the crab meat was mixed in but did not address the portions, I just didn't appreciate her rudeness. For the prices those portions did not add up. read more

We were disappointed that our former Poke restaurant of choice seemed to close down, but Poke Bar has become our go-to poke restaurant. Their ingredients are delicious and fresh. Their staff is awesome and very friendly. We got to speak to the owner during one of our first visits and she was super friendly and very open about the process she went through to get the franchise from the parent company in California. Their selection of sauces is spectacular and IMO is the best out of all the poke restaurants in the city. My wife commented today on how much she prefers the bowl shape/style compared to other restaurants we have tried. Also love having the two sides of choice for free - crab and seaweed salad as part of the bowl? Sure!! We have also been collecting stamps for their loyalty program and redeemed our first card for a free small poke bowl today. We've actually been visiting them semi regularly for take out during the pandemic even though we live in central and they are out on the east side. We easily pass by half a dozen closer poke restaurants to get to Poke Bar but they are soooooo worth it. Very highly recommend. read more

Really great food and excellent customer service!! Fast, efficient and very kind to explain all the items on their menu as well as cater to our specific needs. We even ordered a second bowl to take home for lunch the next day and they were so kind to individually package the meat, mix ins and toppings so it would taste fresh tomorrow. Aliza was amazing and friendly! I have a very complexed diet and have to know nutritional value of everything I consume... of course that makes it close to impossible to go anywhere without annoying people that are paid to serve us at food places... but tonight was the complete opposite of that! She offered to place the rice and salad in a separate bowl as to not mix with what I can eat. Than she took her time to provide info of toppings and as much as I would have loved to enjoy a tea she was more than helpful on the sugar counts to avoid me getting sick!
