Damn, that was good! The first thing about this place that stands out is that it's literally the best-smelling restaurant in Mooresville. And that's a lot of restaurants. I knew once it smelled good that it would taste good. Right. Anyway... Eating this was interesting because each bite kept getting better and I didn't want to stop. The only mistake I made was the wonton noodles. They were very good but they really just got in the way of the fresh ingredients, which were cold-yet-cooked grilled chicken, cucumbers, shredded carrots, mixed greens, white rice, and a mix of soy sauce and a soy base. When I left here, the freshness of this meal invigorated me. Another big plus is the friendliness of the staff. I can assure you that this is not the case for all restaurants in Mooresville. I would say half are genuinely friendly, 25% are faking it, and 25% are rude or just have no personality. The staff here is genuinely friendly, polite, patient, and happy to help. I highly recommend Poke Bros! I know there is more than one location so I can't speak for the others because I haven't been to them, but if you live in Mooresville, the other locations don't matter much and this one should be on your to-do list! read more

Service people look warn out all the time. LOL Well, that wasn't the case this time. The items are displayed right in front of you, so choosing what I wanted was easy. Everything looked fresh! I chose the "Build Your Own Bowl (my compliments to the chef... MYSELF!) If you have never been there, they have suggested/Signature Bowls available as well. They also have Ramen and Udon (I hope I spelled that correctly), as well as Boba Tea, Seaweed Salad, Mochi Ice Cream, and KIDS BOWLS. Anyway, I have a seafood allergy and they were very careful when preparing my bowl! Personally, I love their tofu, so I went with that and and chicken with white rice and ponsu sauce and a side of their creamy siracha. I'm not one for any kind of spice but I tried the creamy siracha and it was yummy. I'm just obsessed with the ponsu sauce! I appreciate them letting my try the siracha on the side. This is my second order from them and everything except the udon broth is good and tasty. The udon broth just tastes like soy sauce and too salty for me, so I won't recommend it. Both bowls were good as usual and it was my first time trying the spicy chicken, it was flavorful! The coffee cake just tastes same as tiramisu. Honestly, at first I didn't give this place much hope. Boy, was I wrong. Get past the COVID curtain (speak loudly) and you too will be surprised. Apologizing in advance for the slightly blurry pictures. But we were in a hurry to dig in. We were heading home from a road trip and my husband suggested this place. I was a little skeptical at first but encouraged by the positive reviews. And I am so glad I gave it a try. The setup is similar to Chipotle. They have a build your own bowl option where you choose your rice, toppings, and protein. They do have some suggested bowls as well. The ladies taking our order were very patient as we fumbled through ordering with kiddos who kept changing their minds. Covid protocols were clearly in place with masks being required. In addition, the entire ordering area was separated from the seating area by thick plastic draped down. All of our bowls were delicious and fresh tasting. They were hearty portion sizes. When I finished my bowl the next day, it still tastes just as fresh, including the avocado which had not browned. I definitely plan to return again soon. We have been going here since they opened when the owner made the bowls or was at least present during the process. Over time the bowls have declined, being determined by who was making them. One customer could have an overflowing bowl while the next one wouldn't even have a bowl that reached the top of the container. Needless say this was frustrating when the price continued to increase while service and quantities decreased. The breaking point was Thursday when we ordered pick up and did not notice that my bowl was swimming in liquid. I had ordered extra sauce on the side due to inconsistencies for that as well, but whoever made it unleashed the bottle in the bowl. This was a complete waste of money as it was thrown out. If you're not familiar with what this restaurant is like, it's like a chipotle but with sushi items instead, oh and no burritos, not yet at least. Great options do the bowl as well, you'll start with a base of a few rice options followed by tons veggies, seaweed salad, corn and avocado ( non veggies Krab there too). Then you'll add your meat/ veggie options, could be Tuna, Salmon or tofu they've even got Chicken and Spicy chicken for your friends that aren't big into sea food. Next is the sauce, OG sauce is a must for a base to tie it all together and for a little bite you'll want to add the sriracha. I ended up doing a create your own bowl. I always go with my favorite choice...tuna. I ended up getting edamame, masago, crab meat, avocado with the tuna over sushi rice. Good reviews here so maybe I caught it on a bad day. I'm a pretty big sushi and poke fan, but not a snob. I'll happily eat a tray of sushi from the local supermarket without complaint, for example. And I hate leaving bad reviews during a time of such great difficulty in the restaurant industry. But the poke here was pretty nasty. Extremely fishy in both smell and taste. As Emeril always used to say, "Fish should smell like almost nothing. If the fish smells fishy, get the chicken." My bowl had the marinated tuna, which didn't taste like it was marinated in anything at all (even with fishiness, the strong flavors of Asian marinades should come through *a little*, no? Now, I've had dozens of poke bowls in my life and never leave a drop of food behind. But this bowl? I took 3-4 bites before deciding it just needed to be thrown out. So disappointing. The place is clean and the service was great, but I just can't excuse funky fish at a sushi or poke joint. Hopefully it's just flavor and not a food safety issue read more
