FINALLY, a poke spot in Paoli. The location is definitely key since it's in the Paoli Shopping Center. I decided to order two build your own bowls - one with salmon and one with Tuna. My bowls were really refreshing with all of the ingredients but I felt that the quantity was too small and the flavors didn't hit the marks I was looking for. For sauce I chose the OG sauce since it was a soy based that compliments the bowl well. The sauce however simply just tasted like soy sauce and didn't have the umami I was looking for. I'd suggest asking them to sauce it lightly if you are not a fan. They tend to have a heavy hand. This bowl was more than enough food for me and enough for a second meal. I've tried this place twice while shopping in the same shopping center. Seems to be takeout only at present which makes sense given Covid. The first time I was there I ordered a make-your-own poke bowl. The second time I ordered a signature bowl. Both were very good and tasted fresh. However, the amount of fish in each bowl was far less than I would have expected. When I asked for a little bit more there was an up charge. My co-worker ordered a spicy tuna bowl for me atop sushi rice cuz she knows that's my favorite part of the poke bowl. I know, weird cuz there are so many other great ingredients that makes the bowl amazing but sushi rice is key for me. Portion wise this is perfect for one person. I felt completely full after eating 3/4 of it. I'm reviewing this poke bowl based on its price of $12. For its price it is completely worth it. For those who want larger portions of ingredients in their poke bowl you can add it for an extra cost or buy $15-20 poke bowls at a more expensive stores. The shrimp and chicken were cut to a perfect bite size. They were pretty even sizes and the sauces added a good flavoring to the rice. I was worried it was going to be too spicy but it wasn't. After mixing everything together the taste overall was mildly sweet with tiny tingles of Sriracha and occasionally bursts of pineapple juice from the cubes of pineapple in the bowl. I would recommend this bowl for someone who wants to try a poke bowl with nothing raw in it. read more

I'm still not sure what is special about the OG sauce, other than being just soy sauce. There was a little contradiction/confusion on the menus we found online as to what was and was not gluten free, so we did call to clarify. For example, crab sticks/kani are NOT gluten free, but you have to find the PDF menu to see that, not just the website. We've come here often and this past time feels like I just paid $25 for two side salads with and sprinkle of shrimp. Usually I'm left feeling comfortably full but as I write this review 20 minutes after my meal, I have my phone in one hand and other hand in a bowl of fruit. The food was delicious! The portion was enough to feed a small child. To feed a typical adult, you would need to get 2+ bowls. For that price it's not worth it. I understand tuna is expensive but there were only a few cubes. I realize food costs have gone up and understand this needs to be passed along - noticed the taped over corrections on the overhead menu for increased price. But the serving I received was pretty meager. Lettuce which takes a good portion of the container was minimal so total level was just over half of the container. The server scrapped out the remaining lettuce in her tray and that's it. And not to friendly/receptive when I asked for more stuff. That will cost you sir. Too much of the mayo dressing. I went for the first time this past week. I have been to the West Chester location more times than I can count. As soon as I saw the portions I knew I wasn't in West Chester. The ice cream scooper used in Paoli for avocado was smaller than the one in West Chester. Only one small scoop of fish was given to me in Paoli while I got two healthy sized scoops in West Chester. I brought this up to the employee who said that all locations gave out the same sized portions. She couldn't have been more wrong. It's a shame because I was excited to see that they had a Paoli store now as that is much closer to me. The food quality and taste was on par with West Chester but that was about it.
