Very big portions and delicious. I got the build your own bowl. I would definitely come back.

Had to stop by again and just as great freshness is on point, service is great, portions and perfect and the location is even better. Glad to be able to get wild caught fish at a poke place now a days!

Service was quick and friendly. The place is surrounded by a lot of other restaurants so there is plenty of outdoor seating available. I was surprised by the amount of options given & the small size was the perfect amount for me. For the two scoops of protein I opted for salmon & ginger tuna (forgot the exact name, but it was the marinated tuna). I also appreciate that toppings are unlimited. Would most def come back if I'm ever in the area.

Honestly poke house is pretty great. Limited seating inside but more outside the bowls are nice very build your own but with prebuilt options a small selection of drinks in the inside including place for a cup of water. The food is incredibly delicious. I would absolutely recommend coming here

Absolutely phenomenal fish and service!! The employees give huge portion sizes and are very kind. Great and unique flavor selection too!! Lots of fresh toppings as well

Located in the Paseo Nuevo mall a must try for poke. Not only is it fresh and delicious they offer portions that are filling and look pretty. I ordered a medium tuna lovers bowl and had them recommended the sauces, which is an option that they have. You also have the option to automatically add imitation crab. The bowl was filling and possibly could share with someone. You have the ability to choose a salad or rice base as well as toppings. The seaweed salad is a good side to have as well as the miso soup. Service is quick and they are happy to answer any question. I am looking forward to going back and trying other bowls and items on the menu.

Poke house now has a special place in my heart. When my partner asked me if I wanted to get poke, I was nervous as I had never tried the raw fish delicatessen that was served to me today. Sounds of Billy Joel filled the room as I took my first steps towards the serving counter. Much to my dismay, I was met by the establishment's owner! Noticing my unease, he swiftly asked a few qualifying questions and made a well tenured recommendation. OMG I love Ponzo sauce now!!! We'll be returning biweekly!

Phenomenal poke! Tasted super fresh and flavorful. Great portions, kind sad seaweed salad is an extra charge but they gave a free scoop of crab so that was cool. People inside were super helpful guiding me through the menu and giving great recommendations! Right in the heart of downtown not too far from the beach.

We stopped by here to grab something we could eat on the train. I ordered a small bowl and ordered garlic oyster tuna and spicy miso salmon as my proteins. They offered a free scoop of crab as well! The restaurant was clean and modern looking and service was fast. Def one of my top poke places!

Best poke bowls in town but service is astonishingly bad- it took over 20 minutes to get a bowl, and when I arrived there were only 2 people in front of me in line. There are 3 tables in store, two were full, an employee was using the third to check his iPhone. The tables are filthy. $2.50 up charge for avocado, $2 up charge for seaweed salad. But, the tuna is the best in town and rice is fresh and good. Just don't go if you're in a rush or want to eat in.

My family and I were spending the weekend in Santa Barbara and drove up from Anaheim on a late Friday night and we were starving. What better way to have some poke for dinner. We came across Poke House and we were glad we did! Located in downtown area, street parking wasn't too bad to find. The interior of Poke House was very aesthetically pleasing...very modern looking. My husband got their Charred Salmon Bowl which was one of their hot bowls and I ended up building a large bowl (choice of 4 proteins). The torched spicy salmon from the hot bowl was pretty good. The warm salmon complimented the rest of the bowl nicely. The proteins I chose was the ahi tuna, garlic oyster tuna, scottish salmon, and spicy miso salmon. The fish tasted really fresh and not "fishy". I also got to try their Salmon Miso Soup & Rice which was surprisingly really good...I could probably eat 2 of those hehe. Overall, great location of this restaurant, friendly staff, and great poke! I will be back!

Moved to Santa Barbara and was looking for a new Poke spot and found this one. Fresh and delicious. It's sooo good. It's my new go to spot whenever I'm craving Poke. Definitely worth stopping by. Location is great too. Best Poke spot in SB.

Came here on a whim because we were craving poke and I did not expect this to be some of the best poke I've had in my life... and we're from LA(and very experienced poke eaters)! The prices are pretty reasonable if you get a large which is 4 scoops of protein with 1 scoop of crab for $20. We both got larges but I quickly regretted it as it was SO MUCH FOOD. I made my own bowl and they include a free scoop of imitation crab which is great. I tried the spicy tuna, but be warned it is VERY spicy, so I decided to go with the miso salmon and regular ahi tuna. The fish here is super fresh and nicely cut. All the chunks are for the most part very even which is something I also consider when eating poke. No one likes haphazardly cut sashimi pieces! The imitation crab was surprisingly good and not too mayo heavy or bland tasting. I used the sriracha mayo as a topping and be warned, again this place definitely leans on the spicier side! I had to get an extra side of miso aoli(equally as delicious) to cook it down. Loved the toppings as well and the sushi rice was equally as good, perfectly cooked and sweet. Service was fast, you order at a counter and their is plenty of seating outside at the tables which is great! For your friends that don't enjoy raw fish they also have some cooked meat dishes which is nice. Perfect casual stop!

Even so, we were seated at our preferred outside table within 30 minutes. It was crowded but the team is efficient. Our table outside had beautiful views. Our server came immediately to ask for drink orders and questions about the menu. She was very kind and made our dining experience excellent. We ordered: 3lb rock crab special $60 as of 8/2926: 5 stars! The crab was sweet and delicious. They serve the crab heads cleaned so if you want the tomale, be sure to mention when ordering. It was a treat to eat seafood at its origin; the taste was exceptional. Lobster pasta: acid forward with a good amount of lobster Dozen Laguna oysters: excellent Lobster bisque: rich and buttery, very good Fried combo: our least fave, ymmv! Kids meals are available. Between the great service, incredible ocean views, watching the people dive into the ocean and the consistently delicious food, it's an experience you don't want to miss. This visit, I tried the Laguna oysters. Our server mentioned they're on the saltier side, and they definitely were. My boyfriend loved them, but I personally prefer the smaller, sweeter oysters. It really comes down to personal preference. We also ordered our usual clam chowder, which is hands down one of the best I've had. It's packed with clams, rich, creamy, and full of flavor. We couldn't leave without getting the scallops and uni as well. Always fresh, simple, and always excellent. The combination of fresh seafood, unbeatable waterfront views, and consistently great food is why we keep coming back. Already looking forward to visit number five

The decor of the restaurant makes you feel like you've stepped into New Orleans--murals, Mardi Gras themed items, and cards on the ceiling! I was so excited that they bring out complimentary mini muffins! They are SO good! They have a few different flavors like banana nut, jalapeno corn, a rosemary one, etc. Definitely a highlight! For appetizers, we ordered the Cajun Popcorn and the Soft Shell Crab. I haven't had a lot of crawfish before, so I really wanted to try the Cajun Popcorn. These crawfish tails are dipper in cornbread buttermilk batter and fried. They're crispy and fun to eat! They give a sherry wine dipping sauce, which was also yummy! Would recommend getting these! We also wanted to try the Soft Shell Crab, and you can get it as an appetizer or an entree. The appetizer comes with one soft shell crab that's been stuffed with Bienville crabmeat dressing, coated the cornmeal flour, and flash fried. It has just the right amount of crispiness! It's served with a jalapeno beurre-blanc and rice. For our entree, we shared the Crawfish Pasta Lafitte. We couldn't get enough of the crawfish tails so decided to get the pasta that had them as well. The pasta also had caramelized onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, cream, and creole seasoning. Very tasty! Would recommend this pasta! For the fun part that I mentioned--they have a magician that walks around and does magic tricks at each table! It was entertaining and very cool to see some of the tricks up close! They also have a Sing-Along moment in the evening where they'll had out lyric sheets to everyone, turn on the music, and everyone sings the song together. They were playing "What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong on the evening I was there, but the song changes and they ask you not to open the lyrics book until right before the song, so it's a surprise!

If you're looking for a spot this summer with all the vibes, killer margaritas, and delicious food,…read morelook no further than Santo Mezcal in Santa Barbara. My bestie (and yelp elite) Imo brought me here for a girls day after raving about it for months, and now I completely understand the hype. We grabbed seats at the bar (which is honestly the place to be, especially since this spot gets busy on the weekends). Hint hint: make a reservation or get here early. But overall the bar was the perfect place to people watch and to catch up. When it comes to service, impeccable. Despite being busy everyone was attentive and the drinks/food were well placed despite it being a full house. And can we talk about the bartenders? They were so welcoming and even let us film while they worked their magic making cocktails. Watching them crank out cocktails with so much flair was half the entertainment and they couldn't have been nicer. Service was definitely a 10/10. We enjoyed a few margaritas but my favorite was definitely the Hibiscus Margarita. It wasn't overly sweet and was just refreshing. I also had the tamarind Marg which was good too. Extensive cocktail menu and mezcal if you like it. The food absolutely lived up to the drinks. Santo Mezcal takes classic Mexican flavors and gives them a slightly elevated twist while still keeping everything comforting and approachable. My friend couldn't stop talking about her Pork Belly Tacos and I fell in love with the Shrimp Enchiladas. They were loaded with fresh shrimp and covered in the most incredible creamy chipotle sauce (same as their sister restaurant Los agaves for reference). Definitely one of my favorite enchiladas around, 10/10 also. One thing I wasn't expecting is that their chips and salsa might be some of the best I've had. The tortilla chips were fresh, warm, perfectly salted, and paired with a salsa so good I probably ate two bowls before our food even arrived. Honestly, you could sit at the bar with a basket of chips, salsa, and margaritas for hours and be completely happy. Make sure you don't pass up on the chips and salsa. As noted, this is a more elevated Mexican restaurant so prices are slightly more $$$ but you get what you pay for. Just worth noting because if you equate good Mexican food being $2 tacos and a bucket of beer, this spot won't do it for you. But if you want something for more of a special occasion where the food, vibes and service are A+ then this spot is for you.
