Once upon a time, I searched Twitter for #YGK - mostly out of curiosity to see if anyone actually…read moreused that hashtag. I stumbled upon Farm Girl's account, and was happy to see Kingston had a food truck.
Down here in NOLA, along with most of the US, it's kind of a thing. Of course, I grew up in Kingston, so I know they don't usually like to follow trends.
On the other hand, we always had "chip trucks," so maybe Kingston actually started the food truck trend.
Oh, I'm so confused now.... so back to Farm Girl.
I had an upcoming trip to Kingston to visit family, so I made sure to track down Farm Girl during the visit.
My brother, his girlfriend, my daughter and myself all came by on a weekday around noon. There was a line, but not a huge wait. They are very efficient.
I had the BBQ chicken tacos along with pasta salad. So good! Really, I could just live off of the pasta salad. It was awesome.
I'm not entirely sure what the other adults had, but it all looked delicious.
My little one enjoyed the fries, too!
Friendly staff, the truck is easy to find, and (best of all) delicious, local, homemade food. Two thumbs up!
Be sure to track down Farm Girl via Facebook or Twitter if you happen to be in/around Kingston. You won't regret it.
