These guys provide the greatest service because: --The gear they provide is always in excellent condition, you don't have to worry about being stranding with sub-standard equipment in the middle of no where. --They are expert outdoorspeople and can give you advice as you gear up. --They know the procedure of getting out into the bush--I want my rafts delivered to a local airfield for shipment outside Anchorage, and that is absolutely no problem, they know exactly what I am talking about. --They keep records and knew who I was when I phoned (nice!). --Had an email confirmation of my order to me within a half-hour. The price was right and the lady I talked to on the phone was really nice. We set up a time for our excursion. I was running a little bit late and let them know. They dropped off the kayaks at the drop off area. Which is about a quarter of a mile to the shoreline. These two 5'4" ladies had to attempt to drag the kayaks all the way down to the shoreline. The best part is the return., A family from Texas helped us get the kayaks to the pick up place. And the guy who met us to pick up the kayaks didn't offer to help, watched us the entire time and told our friends to load up the kayaks in the back of his truck. We ended up drove to Mirror Lake one hour earlier than 1 PM our appointment time but Chris was accommodating and delivered I will 2 double kayaks around noon and pick them up one hour later. We had a great time there. We saw another customer who were waiting for their equipment to be pick up the same time. It was an old video store before behind Holiday gas station. I've done axe throwing before in the east coast and this place is much more affordable. You pay per lane, per hour. We ended up using two lanes for a party of 6. Two lane is required for 5-8 guests. If you have friends who don't want to risk it with an axe, they have some games in the sitting area like jenga, giant jenga and giant connect four. The staff is very laid back. They give instructions and for the newbies, they watch to see if you're throwing it right so you can stick the axe to the board. Then, once all practice throws are done, the game begins! They offer different games so that your group can enjoy a little axe throwing competition. They have small chalkboard to keep score, so get your game face ready. It's definitely a fun activity to do with a group of people, competitive or not. Although, they do have leagues, for you hungry competitors. So give it a throw! I know I will again! If you are looking for a fun, casual trail ride near Anchorage, Painted Mustangs is just the thing…read more My husband (non-rider) and I (horse fanatic) took a lovely ride last week and we both really enjoyed the horses, the sightseeing, and the folks, and would love to come do it again in the high summer! The Horses The horses were all friendly with people and with each other - comically so in fact, for my husband the non-horser, who was impressed with his mount's ability to scratch his head on the rump of the horse ahead of him without tripping or retaliation from his 'scratching post.' Most of the horses go in hackamores (bitless bridles) and with natural bare feet (better for snow!) They were healthy, agile, and responsive (definitely not the resigned passenger vehicles one comes across in touristy areas.) The Sights Chugach State Park is gorgeous year-round! Amazing views to Anchorage and across the water. Megan is very familiar with the area and will tailor your ride to both the sights to see and the weather conditions. Additionally, the facility is located near the Alaska Zoo and the two activities will make a full day and build a serious appetite! The Folks Megan has lots of equine experience, is a bubbly fun tour guide, and will make you feel right at home in the saddle if you are a horse newbie (as my husband is.) If you are a more experienced rider, let Megan know, and she may have some extended or more advanced riding opportunities to offer. There are also English and Western lessons available if you want to brush up or live in the area. All in all I had a great experience and can't wait for my next visit to Alaska. Definitely will ride with Megan again.

There are two levels for a driving range and over the weekend it was busy but manageable. Unfortunately, they charge a lot for a large crate of balls at the driving range and I wish that they would lower their prices for Alaska residents at least but all in all, it's definitely worth it. The driving range was great to be able to hit your drivers on a golf course with friends. The virtual golf course technology is old and it took us a while to figure out how to add multiple players but at the end of the day it's great to be able to work on your swing and use your own drivers so it was great and at this time $35 an hour.

It's a non profit organization ran by Locals who grew up fishing the Kenai since they were children. Mark was so educational and knowledgeable about my fishing needs. He also explained how the Guides work and the cult of out of state guides are part of a political club essentially. I had no idea I could catch fish without having to pay thousands of dollars not to mention tips. I won't name drop however if you fish the Kenai peninsula, you truly do not need a guide. He did say Bristol bay and other fly-in camps are legit and are excellent reel guides lol. All in all I was taught how to tie fly patterns, and this place is a blessing for Alaska especially if you're visiting. Wish I could give 10 stars
