Bendy Dog is a nice little pet shop in downtown Bend, on a street with other fun little shops and restaurants. They're mostly open during the day and sell toys, harnesses/leashes, food, and treats. Prices I felt were high but reasonable for a small shop and good quality items. I was recommended a bag of bison liver treats and thought the pup would enjoy them. I had no idea they would make him go nuts whenever I open the bag! I like that it was a local company from Colorado and they were fresh. If you're looking for a fun pet shop in Bend, this is a great spot.

The food I typically buy from them had a 37% price hike in one week's time. There was no warning or communication to their regular customers. I budget for my dog food so I was surprised and upset. I do admit I was angry, but I was angry at the price not the person. And instead of being understanding, the woman at the counter got snarky, and reactive with me and said they 'couldn't help brand mark ups'. It made me feel like they were saying we don't care that you are too poor for our food.. take a hike. So I did. Really unacceptable price gouging and customer service. And proceeded to ask if she could still honor it since the flyer doesn't state physical.. she replied with "we are working on it..." My other favorite pet store (Pet Express, an independent) doesn't carry Science Diet products, for instance. Getting prescription cat food is not a big hassle, either. Just present your vet's prescription to the counter in the back and you'll get a PetSmart card good for a year.

Jon did a great job clipping his nails and also gave him a lovely bath. We've seen Jon a few times now and Teacup always comes back nicely trimmed. Jon is very receptive whenever I text about appointments and he's been very patient with my little guy too. This local shop is a win. I recommend visiting them if you're in town. Im lucky to have a friendly local groomer in the area.
