My sister and I purchased a Groupon for 5 FIT classes. We wanted to try a variety of classes. First class was the PoleFIT Intro class that states it is for all levels. The class was 3 students (my sister, myself, and another person) and the instructor, Heather. I had done pole classes at another studio before, which was specifically for an upper body workout, but this class was all about the spins around the pole. It was fun, but I got dizzy a lot! Unfortunately there was a spin or two my sister and I could not do because we lack the upper body strength. It wouldn't have been a problem but Heather was not accommodating to show us a modified move and continued to tell us how "easy" it was. That was the most frustrating, and embarrassing part. Second class was the Pole-ates FIT class, which was great! It was an awesome pilates workout, but it didn't use the pole except to hold the resistance band. I can't remember the name of the instructor but she was awesome and it was a really good class. Third class was the Acro FIT class. This class was SO MUCH FUN! It was essentially a tumbling class, and my sister and I felt a lot of support from the staff. They were encouraging in even the smallest of victories (i.e. a cartwheel), which made us feel good. The downfall was waiting in line to tumble. There were 6 of us, and they said there was supposed to be 16. It would not have been as enjoyable if that many people were there. Realistically, 6-8 people in this class would be good/fine. Maximum of 10. Fourth class, without my sister I went to a Boot Camp class led by Sara, who I believe was subbing, and it was a simple circuit work out with approximately 6 stations. We went through the circuit twice, then she changed the exercises and we went through it two times again, and then she switched it up a third time and again, two times. It was a good full-body workout and exercises were modified for those that were recovering from an injury or could not do the specific exercise. Fifth class, I went without my sister and I signed up for another Acro class because I enjoyed it so much the first time. There was some of the same exercises, some different (which I appreciated). I didn't enjoy this class as much because out of the 8 people there, 4 were staff members and goofing around. Sure, I like to goof around too and it is a FUN class for a reason but I was also paying to work out and not watch other people mess around. Out of all 5 classes, only one started on time (Boot camp). read more

This studio is great! Their classes improve confidence, flexibility, skill and stamina. Coming from a few months of experience at a beginner studio in a different city, I tried their intermediate polefit class and felt very welcome. It was a perfect fit- I was pushed in a good way, and the instructor (Mel) helped those that may not pick up moves as quickly. By the end of the class we had a whole routine, which can be built upon in subsequent weeks. Can't wait to be back! read more

My BFF and I bought the Livingsocial.com offer almost a year ago allowing us to purchase a package of 5 classes. With her wedding around the corner and me a bridesmaid dress I need to look oh so saucy in this deal came into play. Oh and the fact it was about to expire had a lil something to do with it. Ok I'm a chubby chic I have no right doing anything that involves my thighs being wrapped around a little pole being held in by only a few nuts and bolts ahaha!! But let me tell you the PoleFit class rocked my world! The class was small only 10 people plus the instructor and the music was bumping. I'm really confident so i wasn't embarrassed which probably helped since I was the only woman of size there. Don't get me wrong I'm not giant only a size 18 so nothing crazy but still not "dancer" ish ahaha! This class had us doing very beginner moves a walk a spin a body roll and lots of Pilate's like moves even some yoga too. The instructor Ray was awesome and he made the class easy to follow and fun. I am so super excited to go back and take another class next week!! It was so much fun and Melanie was great on the way out answering all our questions about the other classes and making suggestions on what to try next! This is top notch and very professional and the studio is super clean and nice. You need to check this out ladies they do all sorts of classes from beginner to advanced. Booked this for a friends bachelorette party.... Let me 1st say how professional these lady's are. Everything is done so tastefully. A lot of the ladies were a little uncomfortable going into it. But WE ALL left with a totally different outlook .... this is truly an art and I think I could also call it a sport! The strength-muscles that it takes to truly do this is UNREAL!!! So many of us were out of shape .... I think we laughed at OURSELVES... not the instructor but ourselves from the moment we started.....so needless to say we had a ball..... the bride is still talking about it 3yrs later! I booked the party setup... we were able to bring food drinks, cake. I bought some feather bow-as to spice things up! AGAIN had an awesome time, will definitely do this again! read more

I have been going to Pole Fit Revolution for over six months now and I LOVE IT!!! I have done every dance/work out form under the sun and this by far has gotten me in shape the quickest, most efficiently, and safest. But more importantly, the art form of pole dance is so much fun and helps boost esteem and well being of mind, body and soul!!! This place is great. If you're thinking about getting into pole dancing, Polefit Revolution is an excellent choice. Even if you're like I was and know nothing about it and have no experience/background in any form of dance. The class times are convenient, I like the quality/ambiance of their gym and most importantly, the atmosphere. The instructors are very positive and encouraging yet still challenging - Ziva and Niesha are both great. It's just a very welcoming, positive environment. I guess the only negative is the classes are pricier as far as fitness classes go. But you receive highly specialized instruction, its going to be expensive. Also - this is a fun workout even if you're not looking to become an expert pole dancer. It would be a blast for a ladies' night out, and I definitely wish I'd known about it for my bachelorette party. read more

The pole fit class is a nice way to get a good arm, shoulder work out in, but I feel like the instructors are either late or the class start time is posted incorrectly almost 90% of the time. It is very annoying as it is disrespectful to your clients time. read more

I planned my friend's bachelorette party here, knowing we would have a great time. And I was correct! From the beginning, Melanie, the owner, was so great in helping me to decide which type of party to book. She explained why her facility is different from some of the others, and that her own background is personal training/heath & fitness instruction. If you are going to do gyrations & spins & twists & turns on a metal pole, you want someone who has a background in fitness instruction to help prevent you from throwing something out! Finally the day of the party arrived & it was great fun. Melanie had us do a warm up & then taught us some of the moves & tricks. It's best to wear workout clothes, preferably shorts, when doing this activity. They offer regular weekly classes in Pilate's, pole dancing, and bridal boot camp, besides allowing booking for private parties. My advice tho, is to do this in less warm months. Then you won't be embarrassed to wear shorts for 2 weeks while the bruises fade. read more

I purchased pole dancing classes via groupon, it was a pretty good deal and the instructors are good. The younger instructor doesn't know how to teach just yet although she dances very well herself. I probably won't pay for the regular price for these classes. read more

This was my first time trying a pole fit class and I would go back in a heart beat! Sydney was the best instructor ever. She was very good at making sure each person could work to their body's limits but still helped us push ourselves. The environment was very welcoming and exciting. My bachelorette party started off at PoleFIT Revolution to my surprise! It was such a great workout. Melanie helped everyone in my party feel calm, cool, and collected while learning the routine. All shapes and sizes can easily do this class and have fun. The class focused more on the workout aspect, over the "pole dancing" aspect. I really liked that about the class. It was a great workout and I am sore day later! All my girls really enjoyed themselves and it was a great way to spend part of my bachelorette party. :) read more

In the description from their website it states verbatimally that "ONE PERSON PER POLE...NO SHARING to keep you practicing at your pace" however as we were coming in the door Melanie the instructor was letting us know that class is really full and we will be doubling up WTF #smh. Awesome time! I woke up the morning of my sister's bachelorette party and felt like we needed something else to round out the party. After calling many studios all over metro detroit, we decided on PoleFIT Revolution. I'm so glad I did! All the girls had a great time learning the moves, and they provided personalized instruction.
