I called, the girl that took my order answered. When I started to explain, she immediately put me on hold because she probably knew there was going to be a problem and got the manager. When I spoke with the manager, and I explain what the problem was she very angrily continued to cut me off and not let me speak or explain. Very nastily, cutting me off, said there WAS a miscommunication.. (now yelling) YOU'RE NOT GETTING MONEY BACK! I WAS STANDING RIGHT HERE WHEN SHE TOOK THE ORDER. Her resolution was to remake the order and pick this one up. Uuuhh no...not only are you going waste company money by remaking the order but the delivery drivers gas that you are not going to compensate him for. Plus you are not tainting my food. (It happens) After not being able to speak, I hung up. Talk about disrespectful, not taking responsibility for their actions Because had she been listening? She would've heard the only thing that I correct it was the court and the way. My daughter was sitting here as well listening. Here's the kicker.. thank god for honest people because the person it was delivered to called and asked if it was ours, I said yes and the kid walked it over In 9 degree temps. Now by the time it got to us everything tasted like it was pulled from the refrigerator and sat on the counter. I had to heat it up. And then it wasn't anything to write home to mom about. Dear OWNER of Paladino, 1. Get a new manager that knows how to handle conflict resolution 2. Have some customer service training and teach everyone how to take an order and repeat it back. Because they sure enough heard my credit card number.. JS! 3. Teach THEM conflict resolution instead of passing to manager. And 4. Make sure your delivery driver confirms their identity and the people ordered that food before handing it off to someone else's hands. ITS THE PRINCIPLE OF THE MATTER. I live in the corner home here at Woodland Beach,, the intersection is Delaware Avenue and Bombay Hook Avenue, my front door is on Bombay Hook Ave. simply was trying to have someone at Polosino's to let him know. My food was delivered without any flaws and was still fresh and hot when he delivered it. He has delivered here before and knew where to deliver.Not sure if the owner sent him a VM , or the very efficient folks that took my order and calls to confirm my delivery address? So I ordered a cheese and a pepperoni pizza at 6:20, at 8:20 I received my pizza, it is now 8:30 and I am writing this review because it's crazy 2 full hours for pizza. I wish when I called I was told that it would take 2 hours to get 2 large pizzas, had I been told it was going to take 2 hours I would have gotten pizza from somewhere else. Not to mention the pizza is cold, if you order food and have to put it in the microwave to eat it, that's crazy, we should have gotten DiGiorno. I called and asked for a discount because again 2 hours for pizza and it's cold, I was told they can come pick it up and give a refund, but not discount. So instead of just giving the discount you'd rather give a whole refund when I was just asking for something back! Next time I'll let them pick it up and leave the pizza on the porch. Our first visit to Poliseno's after relocating to Delaware. The Positive: The food is outstanding. My wife had a crab cake special that came with a small salad, tiny cup of coleslaw, and a load of fries. Also, an assortment of sauces. I had a hot turkey sub (really just a good roll, turkey and gravy). I also got a load of fries. We got 2+ meals out of this order. The prices are the best in the area we have seen so far. Friendly staff too. The Negative: Trust me, you don't want to eat there...just order and take out. We wanted to eat there, but changed our minds quickly after getting blasted by the heat (no a/c or even fans) and attacked by squadrons of flies. The wait was kinda long because they had to spend time on the crab cakes (a daily special!). Finally, we had a devil of a time just finding the restaurant as there was no signage on the main road and it was tucked away by a gas station. Summary: If you get it to go, you will sing the praises of Poliseno's. Eat in at your own risk. PS. One of the staff told us they are trying to get an adjoining place for a dining room. The food is sometimes hit or miss. Depends on who is cooking. Today everything was good pizza French fries with cheese and mixed wings. They are on local flavors. You buy the discount which is $15 for $30 worth of food. The catch is you can't use on any of the specials. They will charge you for each item individually. Not a bad deal. Usually get the pizza and wings with cheese fries. Would recommend the one in cheswold. Not too familiar with the other one in town. I made a mistake and ordered a pizza at the wrong location Polisenos. When I called this one to get a refund, the manager was very rude on the phone. I kept trying to explain what happened which was an honest mistake and he interrupted me 3 times. He said "I'm really busy right now, because of your mistake we have to pay for it" and told me to call back at a later time when he was less busy so I did. I believe he is implying that he has to take the time out to give me my refund and wasn't happy about that. When I called back, he was rude again. I will never order from this location again. I don't live in DE, but I come here every time I visit Dover. I only come for the pizza so that's all I can speak on. Pizza is great. I love it. It's always hot and cheesy, and the toppings are fresh. The people taking orders are always friendly and the pizza comes out fast. I think the prices are pretty fair, and they have lunch specials all day. Also, all meat toppings are beef which is good since I don't really eat pork. I would give it 5 stars, but the inside is a little dingy, the sauce is slightly sweet at times and sometimes they don't cut the slices thoroughly. read more

I have serious concerns about the cleanliness of the restaurant. There were at least 20 flies in the waiting area when I came in. I ordered 2 pizzas and wings and it came up to $40. Then it took almost an hour to get my food. I get home, open my pizza, and what do I find? A FLY baked in on top. I call them, upset because I now have to drive 20 min back and got someone who claimed to be a manager. She told me to bring the pizzas back to get a refund. The service i experienced was terrible. 1, i ordered cheese I got pepperoni pizza, 2 the wings i ordered were supposed to be mild wings, not regular with the sauce inside the plastic bag it came in, wings were not enjoyable, they were the size of your moms swollen pinky toe. 3, the driver just sat the food down in-front of us without saying a single word, not to mention it arrived at 12:50 when it was ordered at 11:00. Lucky for him, he got tipped online because is service wasn't worth anything. 4, the owner of the store needs to go cleanse himself. Absolutely terrible service, sat on hold for 15 minutes for him to argue with me for 10 more minutes and telling me to bring the food back so he can replace it. Even though I paid for delivery fees as well as tipped the person who dropped my bag of hot sauce off. When I mentioned I cannot bring them back, im pretty sure he said 5 dollars off next order as he rudely hung up the phone after. Called back 5 minutes later hoping to get more than 5$ off a 50$ order. He proceeded to tell me " it was 3$, not 5$". And since it wasn't good enough, I got put on the "block list" and he took back what he said about the 3$. So basically paid 50$ to be blocked and not refunded. Don't waste your time. Two salads- one side, one caesar. Total Bill (with tip) $36 yikes! First let me begin by saying we placed our order around 4:00 and were quoted a delivery time of 30-45 minutes. The food didn't arrive until 5:20! By then...you can imagine that nothing was exactly piping hot. The fries were greasy, limp and inedible....and the chicken fingers were disgusting. Rubbery flat formed pieces that you might expect to find in a cheap cafeteria. The pizza was a bit more tolerable- though unimpressive. We should have rewarmed it.....alas hindsight! Most of our order went into the garbage bin.... I wanted to call and complain to the pizzeria considering the complete lack of quality for the price- but my husband wouldn't let me. I have been a customer of Poliseno's for over five years now, and just had the most disappointing meal ever! It seems they have changed their burger/ chicken sandwiches. I ordered mayo, tomato and lettuce on my grilled chicken and the mayo was so thick my roll couldn't handle it. It literally fell apart. Also, my chicken was pieces, not a grilled chicken breast, like it used to be. My spouse had a similar problem with the double cheeseburger falling apart. We also ordered broccoli bites. They used to be these lovely little pillows, like mini-croquettes. Today they were these flat, fishy tasting nasties! I don't know if they have changed the whole menu, but if they've changed their pizza, we definitely won't be ordering here again!! read more

Wish I could've given 0 stars but gave 1 because they serve Beef products and I dont eat Pork. Twice I have ordered pizza for my kids and a salad for me and the salad came with dirty lettuce. The 1st time I never complained, the 2nd time I called and the Girl on the phone instead of apologizing told me that it was no way the the lettuce was dirty because they get their lettuce in fresh daily. I explained that the lettuce does look fresh but probably wasn't rinsed off because it was definitely dirt.
