I had a terrible experience with Polished Appliance. Communication is essentially nonexistent. They don't answer their phones, don't follow up after leaving messages and leave you completely in the dark. Everything is done by email-when they decide they want to follow up. Technicians spend very little time on-site and seem to provide inaccurate or incomplete information. The technician was at my home but made errors with the paperwork, which resulted in my work order being incorrectly closed. I then had to go through the owner to have it reopened, which was incredibly frustrating and time-consuming. After months of frustration and no resolution, I had to bring in another local appliance company, who quickly diagnosed and properly fixed the issue. Polished Appliance was a complete waste of time. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for reliable or professional service. I would strongly recommend running from this inept company and save yourself the frustration. read more

Our 3 year old GE Washer's door latch failed. After trying to contact GE and the store in Bend that sold the machine, we were referred to Polished Appliance Repair in Redmond OR. They sent out a technician the next day. He was unable to repair the machine with the parts that he had on hand; but, called someone who helped him diagnose the problem. The technician informed us that the washer needed a new motherboard and it would cost about $550 to make the repair. After learning that it would cost over $1,000 to replace the machine we opted to have it repaired. Two days later we had a working washing machine. Footnote: we learned that the motherboard failure is common on this machine. read more

Had an appointment today at 9:00 after waiting for 2 weeks the tech called at 8:30 and left a message he would be between 1-4. I called him right back and he didn't answer. Called him a second time at 9:45 still no answer. Sent a text at 10:30 to call which he read but still no call. At 1:30 sent another text saying I'm guessing you're not coming since you've. He called me at 2:17 to tell me they don't service the area I'm in and didn't really care. The office gal also called me a few minutes later to tell me the same thing and really didn't care that I'd arranged to have someone at my house to meet them. Don't use these people! The worst service I have ever had, they were contracted through LG to service my refrigerator. The technician initially came out and inspected the unit, ordered the needed part and has since ghosted me. (I have left a total of 8 emails/voicemails with no return call or email!) LG confirmed the part was received by the at Polished Appliance. I have been waiting since March 11 for this repair to take place and have a broken down, VERY expensive fridge. FRUSTRATED is the nicest word I can use this situation. After a third follow-up conversation this morning with LG, they reached out one more time, with no response back to them or me. We had our 15 year old Thermador refrigerator stop working Monday and Polished Appliance Repair got a technician out Tuesday morning (a day earlier than expected). He was professional and knowledgeable and had it back running in about 15 minutes with a part (some kind of relay switch) that he had on his truck and it is working good as new now. Our 2 year dryer stopped heating. Polished came our and said they reconnected a wire that came off. they charged $340 to reconnect wire. after he left the drum was making a loud banging noise and within a few minutes the dryer stopped drying. He came back out and said he did not put the belt tension on the drum and reconnected the wire. within an hour of running it stopped heating. we then called a different company who fixed the dryer for $100 and shook his head when I told him what they charged. read more

Tech tool the back of the unit off and said he needed to order the part "maybe take a week, I'll contact you when the part arrives" Six weeks and numerous unanswered phone calls, the fridge is still inoperable. I dealt with a failing refrigerator compressor for over seven weeks. The manufacturer was very little help. But Polished App sent out the best most knowledgable repairman who finally got it fixed, and covered by the warranty as well. This is the best appliance repair experience I've ever encountered and will use them going forward every time. This is a fairly new company but I couldn't be more impressed. About a year ago, I hired them to install a new dishwasher. The guy showed up and was here about 5 hours and the whole time complaining about how difficult it was and littlerly deep sighing as he struggled with it. A bit if swearing was involved. Finally, he left, and everything was fine until I found water under my sink the next morning. I looked under the sink, and he knocked the pipe loose in all his bumbling around. It took 2 weeks, and I said I would send them the bill for a plumber to get it fixed if they couldn't. Afterward, I actually gave them a positive review, figuring that everyone makes mistakes and they fixed it. Fast forward a year, and my dishwasher overheats, smells hot, and flips the breaker. I call them and make an appointment for them to come out. $120. Service fee, and she scheduled a time when their guy would be in my area. That was 2 weeks out. I get a call the day before telling me it's $150. And it's out of their area. They only have one guy who covers my area. They also denied they had installed my dishwasher. They had no record of it. Aside from poor bookkeeping, does that mean they are not reporting income to the IRS. When I suggested that the person who quoted me $120 represents them so they should honor it, and the time I was promised, she said they would train the person who said that but the price was $150and again... it was out of their area and only one guy. I waited 2 weeks for a repair, I actually would have paid the $150. had I been quoted that and if they kept the date to come out. Never.... ever use these people. read more

Dropped off Speed Queen washing machine for repair. The washer is under warranty and Speed Queen created a W/O for the repairs. Polished Appliance is stating they cannot recreate the problem of the machine stopping mid-cycle. It only happens with a load in it and they are saying they cannot run a load at the shop to test. Then we received information that Sears Repair was being dispatched. We have tried to contact them for weeks. They are unresponsive to phone calls, emails and good luck having them open the door if you want to pickup your appliance. I concur with the others - DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!! read more

Both our Frigidaire all-fridge units, less than 5-yrs old, went out at the same time (not cooling properly). Warranty company couldn't find anyone willing to work on a "sealed system". We love them, wanted them repaired, did a lot of research, made a ton of calls, and decided to drive them up from Brookings to Redmond to one of Frigidaire's certified servicers. We were happy we did! We found Nate and Brenda to be very knowledgeable, professional, honest, and accommodating. Nate was able to fix one of them immediately. The other was more challenging and ultimately could not be repaired back to mfg specs, so they refunded us our money back. They definitely stand behind their warranty! Luckily, they've expanded closer into Jackson/Josephine with a shop in Medford. Given the shortage of repair shops, backlog of repair work, growing pains of an expanding business that's trying to help more customers, and their expanding family, we chose to be patient and flexible in resolving our second fridge. We were referred to this business by a used appliance store in Redmond. We had a washer that was bought new from Redmond Lowe's on Aug. 28, 2023 and had never worked correctly. Thank you Whirlpool for putting out a crap washer for $680. We called Polished Appliance on December 4, 2023 and they said they would come out to the house on Dec. 14, 2023 to take the washer back to their warehouse. They called on the 14th and cancelled the pick up. Then they came on Dec. 15 without warning and picked up the washer and took it to their warehouse for repair. Because of the holidays, I didn't think they would be able to repair it until mid January. I contacted them via email (their voice mail box was full) and requested an update on the washer (January 19, 2024). On January 21, the CEO, Brenda Bullard, emailed me that she would contact me the next day. That never happened. I have called and emailed them today, February 1, 2024, for status on the washer. It is amazing that you can buy a brand new washer, not have it work correctly, call appliance repair for warranty work and no one wants to do anything to fix the washer. Moral of this story is, don't buy anything that is a Whirlpool or from Lowe's. Go to Costco. At least they might take the machine back when it doesn't work. read more
