Wish I had read the reviews before coming here, but it was a last-minute decision. I got a basic pedicure and a gel manicure. The woman who did my finger nails was honestly the sweetest--that's the only reason I feel bad even writing this. But I'm hoping this helps improve their work and prevents other customers from having the same experience. I got the regular pedicure, she told me callus removal wasn't included( I DO NOT HAVE CALLUS just regular dry skin), which I've never experienced before. I ended up just saying to leave it. Came home to re-do my own teeth never experienced this in 43 years! Unfortunately, the quality of the work was really disappointing. The polish was uneven, my nails all look like different shapes and sizes, and there was polish all around my big toes. The service felt very rushed and sloppy overall. I'm not usually picky so didn't notice this until I got outside in my car and don't have time to go through a whole another paint job anyway. Never again. I went in and requested a short square dip nail with a thin French tip. This is what I got. Extremely subpar work. I could've done this myself. Uneven nail surface with dips in between where the tip meets my natural nail, the nail is too thick, and both the free edge and side edges of the nails are uneven. Plus, I had to remind my tech about applying the French tip, and he said it was too late. I paid $55 plus a $10 tip because I can't stand confrontation lol. I will just never come back, and I don't recommend this location! I should have driven 30 minutes into Southend to go to Ultra Nail Boutique like I usually do. Now I have to fix these at home myself! The only redeeming part of this experience is that the staff was friendly. I know they're doing their best, but I expect a certain level of quality when I'm paying the same price I do at salons in SouthPark and Southend areas. read more

This was my 3rd visit here & let's just say 3rd time is NOT the charm. My first 2 visits are great. The service is epic but the way they did my nails on this 3rd visit is all wrong. I have two friends who own nail salons in Virginia who have been doing GELX on me for almost two years now, so I am aware that everyone does them differently & why. I normally drive to VA to get my nails done but decided to let Polished try since they have great service with my pedicure & wax's. I told the tech when I first saw her start my GELX that I didn't want them done like she was doing them because I know they won't last. She places the GELX nail almost to the middle of my natural nail. Which means it will look bad AKA need to come back for a new set sooner. She replied "everyone do it differently" I said yes I'm aware of the different ways & I don't like how you're doing it. I trusted her process & now I'm not even a week into this fresh set & it look horrible. My cuticles & natural nails are showing BAD. I have 3 back to back trips & I'm so upset that I now have to wait till I'm back in the US to fix this. I have added photos of my original GELX set that someone else did. That Polished removed for me before putting theirs on. Notice the original clear & white set they removed was over 5 weeks old & still don't look at bad, thick, & unnatural as this 5 DAY old set that polish put on for me. Found them on a whim & received the best manicure I've ever had. I think I had the owner- she was so kind & gentle & really paid attention to the details while holding a really friendly conversation. She had to remove a badly done SNS manicure from my nails & was very very gentle handed to not hurt me. When Lilli is not available....the other ladies.....Sam and Dara including.... are professional as well as personable. Not the worst pedicure I've ever had but definitely not the best. Leg and foot massage were nice but nail polish job was done very badly. Picked the basic pedicure which was $25. Maybe if I had picked the other options prices higher the nail polish job would have been nicer. I don't know. Also they don't accept credit card tips. Only cash tips. read more

Definitely has a feel of a 'bar'. Plexi-glass was set up so there's not direct contact when you are getting your nails done. They have tons of chairs for pedicures. The staff works very quickly and are good at their job. A supreme pedicure (paraffin wax, massage, scrub) and dipped nails took less than 1.5 hours. Reasonably priced. Made an appointment on Tuesday for Friday at 3pm to get acrylics. I show up there today, and am sitting in the waiting area for 20 minutes. Then, I'm seated for about 15. Then, they set the colors I wanted in front of me and walked away again; I ended up just sitting there for over an hour. I watched them take people who had later appointments and walked in later than me, but they ignored me. Nobody looked like they were going to actually sit and get to me any time soon, so I just got up and left very frustrated. Walked in with my friend to get a mani pedi and the workers starred at us for a solid minute and a half until I asked for service. Super awkward. The workers were extremely rude and rough on both our hands. They would literally jerk them around. The place makes you feel so uncomfortable. The manager has a terrible attitude and let's everyone know that. Such a hostile environment to be in. They also cut both of our hands ups and then continued pouring acetone on our hands. I went to the nail salon last week the nail tech was super nice but three of my nails popped off by the glue area less than a week. Never ever had this happened before especially when I rarely get them done only for special occassions like my birthday and now stuck trying to find nail shops on vacation to get them fixed instead of enjoying my birthday time off. Ps. I even went back to the salon before leaving and was charged 3 dollars for a repair and clearly the tips are popping off maybe they use cheap glue because two more popped off right after. read more

People here are super sweet and are always making sure they're not hurting you and always asking if you need water! I love my nails but the reason I give it 4 stars is because these were $60 because apparently the tips were nail art... now I did get gel but at most these shouldn't of been more than $50 because this is not nail art. My daughter & her friend visited on 4/27/21, her only day off from work during the week. The person who serviced her was poorly trained & it shows in her work. My daughter asked to speak with a manager while in the shop & no one assisted her. I contacted the shop while she was still there & on the phone with her. I was told they would fix her nails by repainting them. The nail polish wasn't the issue, the work was the issue. Unfortunately they were extremely busy & no one was available to fix her nails. After waiting another 10 minutes she left as she had other errands to run & still no fix for her nails. She paid $55 for her nails to look like a kindergartener did them. This is unacceptable & poor customer service on their part. This establishment will NEVER get any business from myself or my child again. I was really enjoying going here to get my nails done but spending $45 for a gel manicure that is said to last 2-3 weeks is fine...if it lasts at least two weeks. When I call you to say that several of my nails are chipped after only five days and you say "our policy is to only fix chips up to 3 days" you dont EVER need to worry about getting another dollar from me. I have an office job so, no manual labor and get my nails done about every two weeks. My policy is to only give my money to ethical business owners that stand behind their products..deuces. I showed up on 3/30/18 at 10:10 for my 10:15 pedicure appointment, only to be informed that they did not receive my online booking appointment. I showed the woman my confirmation email sent to me via their website program, but she told me that some third party handles their online booking, and the only appointments that are actually confirmed are the ones placed over the phone. Needless to say, I was a little annoyed. She told me they could fit me in that day if I was willing to wait 30m, but I declined. May I suggest that Polished remove online booking from the website if it will not be honored or if the program does not work properly. This will definitely prevent future mishaps. read more

I have been going here for well over a year now so I feel I can leave a fair review. For starters they do get really busy but I am ALWAYS offered a beverage (they make a great mimosa). A sweet older gentleman helps make and serve drinks and helps get the water started for my pedicure. I have had some technicians in both past and recent times that were alright my main complaints would be either feeling rushed or them being too rough that they cut me around my cuticles. I do want to end on a positive note here so another thing to add is they accept American Express credit cards here which is huge to me because most nail salons only accept Visa, Discover, and MasterCard. Last and most important Aaron works here at the Huntersville location and he is AMAZING! He has made some of my most recent experiences here so delightful no matter what. I have my favorites at all locations. I recently tried the Sns and I'm in love with the product. Mary is the best at gels and and this new dip powder. My nails lasted more than 2 weeks and did no damage to my real nails. I love this product !!! I think I have found my new nail spot! And to think it was hidden just miles from my home! Maybe "Mary" is what makes it so special. Or maybe it was the amazingly long day I had at work yesterday and the amazingly long and wonderful foot massage she gave me with my "standard" pedicure. Of course it was topped off with a perfect polish. And yes she is also very genuinely friendly. No yelling across the room to coworkers in a language I cannot understand. Polished is the most professional and courteous salon I have frequented! Most importantly, the owner's motto is CUSTOMER SERVICE FIRST!!!! The owner and staff respect you and deliver what you want! My mother and daughter really like Ben to do acrylics. He is always very meticulous with his service. Mother started going here at the Diva prime age of 83 years old. Ben is so polite and addresses her needs as to not "nick or cut" her skin as she has diabetes. She looks forward to the pampering and would never consider a different salon. The front desk staff have assisted her walking from the car to a salon seat! Now that's over the top! Here's an over the top example of "CUSTOMER FIRST" that happened before the holidays. My husband bought three Christmas gift cards for my mother, daughter and myself totaling $275.00. Unfortunately, I lost mine worth $100. Fortunately the owner trusted me and gave me a consolation of $50 to replace it. A week ago I used it for a gel nail manicure and still had a balance of $20! Surprisingly a week later I found my $100 gift card and reported to the owner value and the owner told me no problem keep it. She was glad I found it and no one else stoled it from me! So many issues with Polished over by Whole-foods. First the nail polish itself. Every single polish was separated and no amount of shaking would blend it together. Since I couldn't find the color I wanted, I went to the retail side and same thing. Polishes were separated and the bottles were ccovered in dust. This place has not been here that long but it is very much neglected. Now for the pedicure chairs. They don't move forward or backwards and the arms don't raise. There is about 4 inches between the base of the chair and the wash basin to step to get into or out of the chair which is super dangerous. Someone is going to slip and fall and really hurt themselves. Would not recommend this place at all. read more

I went here two days ago and had the worst experience. I was waiting for 45 minutes before I was seated. After I was seated, I had to wait another 45 minutes before anyone came up to me. One nail tech started on my nails then left to work on someone else. I had to wait another 10 minutes before the next tech started. Since the first one went so fast, she took off part of my cuticle too low and ended up burning my finger with whatever she then put on it. Once the second tech started, my nails were done quickly and poorly. The acrylic fill was put on too low and is on part of my skin and pulling, which is painful. Some of my nails have bubbles and were not painted completely. It's disappointing to have such a negative experience. It was obvious that the regular customers were treated better and received more attention. read more

AWFUL experience!!! I walk in the manager says come back in half an hour. So I come back wait another 30 minutes before a lady was assigned to do my nails. When I told her I wasn't comfortable with that amount of time (it only needs 5-8 min max to take gel off) she yelled at me and never came back. I finally took it off myself after 10 minutes the gel came right off like I told her it would. She never came back in the salon so I complained to the manager and she literally waved me off with her hand and kept working on another client. The MANAGER. No wonder her staff is unprofessional bc she sets a tone to treat her customers that way. They think bc their so popular one customer wont make a difference. This review is for the Huntersville location by Birkdale Village. After reading some negative reviews and some positive I decided to just go give them a try and form my own opinion. I went in with a positive attitude and figured if I wasn't happy after the first nail or two, then I wouldn't let them finish the rest. I was immediately greeted with a smile when I walked in on a Friday night around 5:30. They weren't too busy so that was good for me. I didn't have to wait long at all. I was in need of a full set of acrylic nails and so I was met by Cam/Kam (not sure how she spells it). She had a positive, fun attitude. She listened to my nail specs and executed quickly and to my liking. We walked in at 3 pm and was informed that it would be about 30 minutes and they do not take reservations on Sunday. So figured 30 minutes not bad, seemed to be plenty people working and a bit busy. Needless to say an hour and 20 minutes later, still no service. When I pointed out to the hostess/receptionist that they had skipped us, she proceeded to argue. The hostess/receptionist does not take your name upon arrival/check in, seats customers In pedi chairs although there is no tech to service them for at least an hour from what we observed (your feet are soaking this entire time). Since they are not aware of what you are having done, time management is lacking so all customers are informed 30 minutes. Completely impersonal and lack of organization. I think they may believe that by serving you a complementary glass of wine or bud light, you would overlook all they are lacking. read more

As a native to this area I was thrilled when I heard polished was coming to town. However, my girlfriend and I went for the first time This evening. Even though the beautiful decor draws you in - the service and management was lacking. One of us got a very short treatment & the nail tech was rude & after harassing to get the upgraded pedicure- she didn't give it. We were still going to tip at the end of our services, however were unapologetically told YOU CAN ONLY TIP WITH CASH - there's a ATM over there. I'm sorry - do they realize it's 2016?? Needless to say we won't be back no matter how pretty the wall tiles were. The best part? After I left and got home I only then noticed the mask from my pedicure STILL LEFT ON MY LEGS. read more
