I'm give 1 star because it was pretty easy to book online. However this was the Worse Pedicure I have ever had in my life.........I booked the very first app 9am. I got there at 9am along with 3 other customers with the same 9am appointment. Two workers in the shop. That was the first problem. I got a $60 organic pedicure. The tub was not clean (I should have left then) meaning they didn't clean it the night before. NASTY! The water was cold, the towels was dirty, the stones that she slapped my legs with was cold, they did not have massage chairs (a long bench and some pillows for your back) when I questioned her. "Awww you come to early next time we do better ok" Yall gotta be crazy. Then of course they start talking and I don't know what the heck they saying. I asked for a discount she agreed. Went here 2x and the 1st time I wasn't so satisfied, but had to go again for an event I needed my nails done for. The salon is nice and inviting to walk into. The first time I got french tips and the 2nd I got a full set-acrylics. I have gotten acrylics many times prior to this appointment. As I was getting them done, I noticed the person doing my nails only put glue on once but decided not to say anything because this was the first time I was getting acrylics done somewhere else. However, literally two days later my nail had chipped off almost completely and then another one 8 hours later chipped off, as well. Fast forward less than two weeks later almost all my nails had chipped and the only 3 left were really flimsy. To add, it would hurt bad when I would hit those nails against something. I then get my nails done at my usual place 16 days later, and as she's taking the acrylics off, I had FUNGUS underneath 2 nails. I never had this happen out of all the times I gotten my nails done (acrylics or gel or regular manicure) and I am a slight germaphobe so self-hygiene is not the issue here. I don't know if it's the tools they used or how they applied the acrylics, but that shouldn't happen. read more

Do not recommend for dip powder. I get this done because I don't like to use a lamp, yet they had me use one after the top coat. I could tell they didn't use a compatible top coat because it wasn't as shiny and almost immediately started to peel off which it is not supposed to do. This nail salon is so open and airy. I loved the decor and I was very comfortable. My nails were shaped nice and they pay attention to every little detail. The attention doesn't come cheap though. At a whopping $50 pedicure right off TCNJ campus you'd think you'd get a little more bang for your buck. Although I was offered a special rate ($35) which they were promoting on their social media site, I still think it was overpriced at $70 for a gel mani and reg pedicure not to include tip. read more

It's a very nice and super clean salon. My only issue is that I lost several dip powder nails in less than a week. I got them done on Wednesday and on Monday one was completely off and cracking. They were able to fit me in the same day I called and fixed them free of charge, and I even added a pedicure. Later that same night another one came off ( not one that was replaced but an original one from Wednesday). I'm not sure why the dip powder won't last i've never had this problem at other salons. But the pedicure was well done and my nail tech was super nice. They were very accommodating and redid my set with no charge, but again I had a nail chip off the very next day. Not sure if it has anything to do with the fact that they don't use a top coat that goes under the UV light which i've has at various other salons but i've never had nails chip / pop off in such a short amount of time ‍ read more

The BEST gel manicures and pedicures I have ever received! Jamie, Diana, and Elisa are amazing - I always appreciate their meticulous attention to detail and immaculate filing and shaping. Each gel manicure lasts at least 3-4 weeks without chipping and my gel pedi lasted for a month. I love the OPI gel and powder gel colors they offer, as well as the single use tools (extremely sanitary!). The salon's atmosphere is very relaxing and each technician takes their time, never making you feel rushed. They are very careful when removing old gel to prevent damage, and my nails have never looked better than when I went here on a regular basis. While my gel manicure and gel pedicure turned out well in the end, I wasn't sure about this at first because the technician painted my nails before she soaked, scrubbed and exfoliated my feet. I have never experienced that before at any salon. Also while I'm used to paying what I need to pay for what I want, I think $80 for gel mani and gel pedicure is extremelyyyyy high. I pay that for gel tips, gel pedicure and a design in my hometown. read more

Being a long time ewing resident it has been difficult finding a nail salon where the nail techs are polite and not leaving me at a manicure station for an hour with nothing being done just so they keep my business while they work on their long line of disgruntled clients out the door. Polished Nail is extremely clean and sanitary and the decor is beautiful . I don't mind the simple pedicure stations at all. Very chic and modern and bright inside which makes you feel like you're at an outdoor bar or at a full spa. The technician Alex is great and gages my mood very well when picking colors. He will always suggest to go a shade darker or lighter or throw on an extra coat of the gel polish for a darker look. I also just appreciate not rushing through the manicure. I am always the last client as i make my appointments for after work hours and he never rushes nor acts like he's ready to run out of that place after being there the entire day. I went in to get hard gel removed and regular gel polish put on. The woman used the drill to file down the nails and filed my nails too much and she began to drill my natural nail. One of my nails is still so thin the nail has been ripping to the point where I am in pain. It has been almost four weeks, maybe more, and my nails still are brittle and in pain. I nervous to get them done anywhere else until they are fully healed. I tried to remove as much of a regular gel polish as I could and painted them myself so there is some protection over them. Update as of 3/7/20: Since I posted my review, I have been contacted by the owner and she has communicated to me that she will work with her staff to improve their service so this won't happen in the future. read more

I went here after a few years of wanting to give it a shot and I am more than disappointed. When I first walked in no one said hello and just stared. I announced myself, then was asked to wash my hands. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is bc it is a nice location. The nail tech I has was Elisa and she was decent, however the issue comes in when the gentleman and her start to have a conversation about me and my polish choices in Spanish. I decided to remain silent and let them talk crap in my face so I can get the full scale of how far they will go. I try not to patronize certain establishments bc of their choice to speak a different language to talk bad about their customers and obviously this place is no different. On top of that if you are tall the pedicure bench is highly uncomfortable...sorry for the side note. on top of that my polish is patchy!!!!! She hurried and put my sock on for me and even though I thought it was weird I just went with it. When i got home I was absolutely pissed. $45 bucks for a GEL patchy pedicure, then to get talked about in front of my face oh and I gave her a tiny tip bc I am a nice person but I really should've told them a piece of my mind and made her paint the horrible white that she hates so much and "we" love over again bc maybe this time she would actually paint the toenail and not my foot. All in all they will never get another dime from me and I urge people to watch where they spend money. A refund wouldn't even make me happy at this point. read more

I have been going to Polished Nail Spa since it opened. I've never been a regular at a nail salon before, but the ambiance, decor and owner really won me over. When you walk in your greeted by Jamie or one of the technicians immediately. They have a plethora of nail colors to choose from and multiples of the color swatches ( so two people could be looking for a gel nail color with their own ring). The salon is clean and relaxing. I always go to Jamie and she never disappoints. She is kind, and really cares about building rapport with her clients. She is thorough in her job and makes sure that your nails turn out the way you envisioned them. They always use a new, unopened set of tools. In addition, they normally have discounts running and they've been having specials every month that you just can't beat. Like a refill for 25 by appointment on Mondays! The reason I can't in good conscience give this place 5 stars is because multiple times the polish has chipped. I have had to go back multiple times to repair nails only after a few days. The consolation is that Jamie is very understanding and rectifies the situation as soon as she can possibly can. The pedi is very basic & the tech is not skilled & I doubt any formal training. My tech was an older woman & I felt sorry for her. Her hands were very rough & nails ragged. She did an acceptable job with the mani. Someone else did the pedi. Nothing special but acceptable. They only have OPI polish.
