Left the dead skin and cuticles on. This was the day I got them done.

I just moved to Fort Collins and spent time researching nail places and was so happy this one was so close to my house. You can make an appointment or just walk in. I walked in on a weekday and was immediately seated for a pedicure and gel manicure. I was told to pick a toe color and I asked if I could see the gel colors so I could match it and right off the bat the employees seemed irritated. There was also an employee walking out from the back to the main area without a mask on. The pedicure was just not good. Barely cut a single cuticle off. The polish was sloppy(see attached). The manicure was also of the same quality, and I was left with several jagged edges and a 70 plus dollar bill. There was a language barrier so when I tried to ask questions about the work, there was not a mutual understanding. There has got to be better places!

A cute little place, I made an appointment and was promptly taken care of! Lots of color options for nails, and she took off my dip nails for no extra cost. Only took 30 minutes for my nails and they came out great, not lumpy or uneven! My dip nails cost $46, great service, I recommend trying it out.

I came in today with a crazy request: can you use dip powder/ gel polish and paint the eye of Sauron from Lord of the Rings? I pulled up a picture for the 2 men at the front counter, and to my honest surprise they said yes. Sam did an AMAZING job! He did black dip powder on the pinkies, thumbs, and middle fingers, and clear dip powder followed by yellow gel polish as a base for the ring, and index fingers. He then proceeded to use a small detail brush, dipping it in red, yellow, and black to make the design. He was incredibly meticulous, doing multiple coats and shading. And after doing the intricate eye/fire design, he realized the black base was too dark for the middle fingers, and was willing to redo them with a white base. Now that's commitment! The nails came out even better than I could have hoped for. Will DEFINITELY be coming back here regularly.

This place must have new owners or something - the first couple of times I went (on recommendation of a friend, who was a regular) I got a gel manicure and the folks (Tony especially) did a great job. I feel like the whole staff has changed the last couple of times I've been. I got gel manicures the last few times, which lasted 2-3 weeks, like normal. The last time I had two nails chip after one week - they fixed these when I went back, though a bit begrudgingly. The last time I went in, I asked to have my gel manicure removed and to just get a regular polish manicure (I'd had gel on since April and wanted a break). The woman I spoke to didn't seem happy I didn't want another gel manicure, and she set me up with someone new who still seemed to be learning. In the past when I've had gel removed, they had me soak the polish off but this time they used the sander to grind it off. Well . . . my nails are ruined. The girl who was learning only did one hand and spoke the whole time about how nervous she was and didn't want anyone watching. She was also wearing fake nails so long she couldn't operate the speed control on the sander correctly. The two women who sanded off my gel polish took off not only the polish but a layer of my nails as well and left an incredibly uneven surface. I've had to layer polish on just to keep my nails from falling apart, and they're still incredibly thin and keep chipping and breaking. I hate having to leave a negative review as I had a very positive experience my first couple of times here, but something has changed lately and I won't be returning. Update: It's more than one month later, and I wanted to post a pic of the damage done to my nails. You can clearly see where the surface is ragged and uneven near the tips - it's a sharp contrast to the healthy nail growing in. (They're currently stained on the damaged part from the polish I still have to wear to keep them from breaking.)

I've been trying to talk myself out of doing a yelp review for a while, but my roommate convinced me I should let others know. I had acrylic before, but it had been about a year since I had them done, so my nails were strong and healthy. She filed my nails down THINNER than paper (actually compared to printer paper) and I haven't been able to grow them longer than a millimeter because within the span of a day, SINCE THANKSGIVING, my nails fragment on average about 3-6 times. In the pictures you can see where my real nail sits and how much was shaved off in one sitting. I would get it if I have 2-4 sets of acrylic nails, but like I said. I had healthy nails. For acrylic nail removal, avoid at all costs. Still hurts to wash my hair and pick up things.

I love this salon! It's such a warm, inviting atmosphere. I love the music and the decor (what other nail salon have you been to that they play Red Hot Chili Peppers and Incubus?!) I brought a picture of the nails I wanted and got a dip manicure. There is a very wide selection of dip colors and they are amazing quality, however not a lot of blues...mostly red, pink, purple, teal, etc. But I walked away so happy. The price is extremely reasonable and the quality of work is amazing. And the nail art is flawless! Highly recommend.

My nails are amazing!! Usually don't like getting my nails in Fort Collins because it's not as good as back home but I have found this place and I'm so happy I did!! Really recommend coming!! They helped with picking out my nail color and were so nice. The nail tech was the best talking to me and making me feel comfortable. Coming back for sure.

I have been to Polished Nails for months now. They are clean and nice, friendly staff. Easy parking. They provide varieties of designs and colors. Tim is very gentle and detail oriented. I highly recommend this place!

I am very impressed! I called a few days ahead of time to book two pedis and the guy was super helpful! I hate when salons use the cheese graters because it's a health concern and they are painful. I asked about it and he confirmed that they never use them. I was very happy going here because they all speak English, they are professional and they have all their tools individually wrapped, which it's great. Everyone was nice and talkative, I'll definitely go back. The only things that bothered me was the bathroom wasn't very clean, it didn't have toilet paper, and they didn't have the best selection of polish, some of them looked old. One of the biggest things that I really loved was the fact that they scrub the pedicure tubs and the drain plug before getting it filled with water for the service. Cleanliness is a big issue, especially with pedicure bowls. Very impressed. All in all, I'll come back when I'm up here in Fort Collins.

It really does matter who you go to. I've been to this salon numerous times and always had a great service. But this last time I saw a young man in his 20's ? and honestly it was the worst pedicure and nail dip I've ever had. He was rushed, and distracted had terrible technique. My massage was super weird he spent 10 minutes vigorously rubbing my calf's like he was trying to give someone a rug burn and didn't even touch my feet? He did almost zero work on the dip leaving it suuuuuuuuuuper thick, uneven, and lifting along the edges. Definitely not at all like the first pictures from a year ago. I have never cared about the level of English someone speaks but he was impossible to communicate anything at all which made it even more unpleasant as I could tell as it was being done it was a terrible job. I pay almost $100 for my nails which I gladly do because it's normally worth it but I'll be going back for a better redo soon. read more

On Tuesday I made a nail appt for Friday at 9 am, I showed up at 9, waited a couple minutes and saw no one showed up to open the shop. After waiting 10 min or so, I called and no answer. A bit disappointed due to the fact I called ahead, scheduled an appointment and no one showed up! I ended up going to another nail place instead. read more

Stylist did a great job on my new set of a acrylics. Very detailed but efficient. Haven't had acrylics in a couple of years and these are gorgeous he best I ever had. The salon had sneeze guards and required masks, which I appreciate. read more

Sad to report I won't be going back here. I told the guy that did my nails that I wanted white tip acrylics. He asked if I wanted pink and white instead. I said no thank you. He asked why. I told him I just wanted plain and conservative for work. Later he asked if I wanted a design. I hate being up-sold after clearly stating what I want. He cut me with the electric file and did a quick job rather than taking his time. Some of my nails are longer on one hand than the other (thumb on right is longer than thumb on left, etc.), and usually they check that. Disappointed. read more

My mother in law did not get the correct design on her accent nail. The pedicures were fantastic! The lady doing my nails did grind in one spot for so long that it burned and then nicked my finger tip also. My nails are pretty though! read more

I've kept coming here because they have ONE nail technician who is incredible but everyone else is terrible. Rushed jobs, sloppy, too thick etc. The final straw was this last time when the male technician CLIPPED OFF two of my natural nails before I could stop him. He apparently thought I had tips on and didn't bother to ask. Now i DO have tips on two of my fingers because of his mistake and they didn't to anything to rectify the situation. I'm never coming back. read more

Worst pedicure I've ever had. Don't want to say this, but I had to guide the person to ask me for what kind of pedicure. Perhaps it was someone training, but they should have let me know that. $70+ later and I had to fix my nails at home. read more

was ight. when i was getting my gel soaked off, the nail tech pulled out the cuticle cutters and started cutting hers then used those to cut mine anyways it's cheap but rushed (didn't really ask me what i wanted my nails to look like because they wanted to close early). good smelling lotion tho. read more

After NAIL FUNGUS recovery from black mold forming under a lifted nail under my acrylic from another salon, I was hesitant to ever get nails again. I must say I'm OCD and super clean hard on my hands and nails. Some other salons are expensive and keep going over and over with fills don't do what you want. I've found the place! Seriously though my nails were beautiful shaped French ombré pink white fade. So pretty. Tiffany did my nails and she was super sweet, professional, and really took her time to make my nails fabulous... They did not lift, break or anything. Had to damn near sand off with this pandemic. I will return soon Tiffany after I get my gardens and weeds under control. Thank you Polished Nail I am a loyal customer after 1 visit. read more

I left with a nail BLEEDING. I told the guy working on my nails that he kept clipping to close to my nail beds and it hurt. Well he CLIPPED MY NAIL BED. And it hurt SO BAD. I was absolutely terrified when he was filing down the acrylic on my nails. Way too much pressure being applied with the tool, I was so scared of having no nail left that I had to stop him. It was obvious he was new but nobody was there helping him either! The nail tech next to him was just nervously glancing at him and the guy that manages the front desk was just sitting somewhere behind me speaking their native tongue towards him. After I showed the main guy that's runs the place my bleeding nail, all I got was "Sorry." I wasn't offered another nail tech or even a bandaid for that matter. Didn't offer to at least remove the rest of my acrylic, nothing. I've come here about 5 or 6 times, and I drive 30 minutes just to get here. So much before getting my nails done before vacation!!! They don't care if they hurt you or ruin your nails. They just want your money!!!! read more

Me and my friend went for mani pedis, the people were nice enough but the guy doing my nails barely said a single word. The polish never fully dried because it was goopy, even hours later (pictures) and my cuticles still aren't looking great. Really disappointed. read more

I had the BEST nail experience I've ever had at Polished Nail Spa. Since my last nail experience at another salon, my nails were very thin and I was nervous about having the nail drill on my nails. Stopped by for a end of summer pedicure and was very pleased. Tony was polite, professional, knowledgeable and gentle. Lots of neat art on the walls by local artists, some of which are for sale. Enjoyed my pedi and a salad from Pulchinella Pizzeria too! read more

It is difficult to find a parking spot right on college where they are, and if you are lucky enough to find a spot its pretty hard to back out onto college. Traffic doesn't want to let you out. I would high recommend parking on laurel instead. Once you arrive you have to call to let them know you are there. You will need to wear your mask inside and then use their hand sanitizer or bring your own in to use once inside. The person who worked on me was great. She did a good job and i was very happy with my full leg wax. However, Kristi at Waxing moon is still my favorite and i will be going back to her for my next visit. The prices were a little higher than what I pay at my other studio. The rooms are also private Overall i was happy and I was very thankful to be able to get in so last minute.

For every visit, they offer you a free beverage and have several options to choose from. The chairs are nice and plush and have a nice massage option. I really like that they cover the pedicure water bowl with a plastic liner and replace the liner after each guest to keep the space sanitary. The location is clean, bright, and modern. It's beautiful! On my first visit, I got a new set of acrylic nails and a pedicure so I had two nail artists assisting me at the same time. I was particular about the color I was getting because I was preparing to be maid of honor for my sister's wedding and wanted to make sure my nails were more of a nude slightly pink color. I came in with an example picture from IG. The manager, Chloe, was super helpful and demonstrated several colors to make sure I got what I wanted. The acrylic set I got was exactly what I wanted including the color and shape. Most notably, the nail artist filed them in a way that they were sharp which is important to me. I hate the feeling of dull nails. The acrylic set was so basic with the color, but I received so many compliments on them! My friends and the bridesmaids used them as inspo for their nails, too. For my pedicures, I've worked with the same person on both visits and they did not do a great job with the nail polish on my toes. On the first visit, the nail polish application was really splotchy. You could see bumps on the nail polish. The nail polish might've been dry or something, but the nail artist was just going to leave it like that so I mentioned it to Chloe and she was super kind in staying late (after the nail spa closed) to make sure my nail polish looked great and smooth. Because we were there after hours, she added a layer of gel to the top of the regular polish for free so that it would dry faster which I appreciated. On my second visit, the same nail artist assisted me with my pedicure and it turned out mostly okay, but it's been a little over a week and my nails are already chipping which is unusual for my toes. Overall, I've had great experiences with the staff (minus one, but we won't let one spoil the bunch) so I would recommend Royce Spa midtown to anyone especially if you have a chance to work with Chloe. She listens to customers and seems to take great pride in her work.

This was where I got my very first set of acrylics and I loved them! They were so nice and caring communicated what I didn't understand with me. They were so good at what I wanted and made sure I was happy with what I got before I left, and said that if I had a issue to come back never had a issue. They stayed forever but didn't ruin my nails after they came off. Beautiful section of colors! I didn't have any issues. The only thing is with my dads work schedule it's hard to make an appointment.
