I never write reviews but here we are. I am new to Northern Colorado, and looked for a nail artist that matched my old artist for hours, found one here through looking at reviews, and made an appointment with her specifically, even came later than I originally wanted. I like complex nails and wanted someone who wouldn't be intimidated and could achieve what I was looking for. I called to confirm the appointment was with this specific person a week ago, they said it was. I drove nearly an hour because her expertise seemed worth it. As I am nearly to the salon, I get 2 back to back calls asking if booking with her was a mistake, and to call back if it was. I arrived, they once again asked me if it was a mistake, I said no it wasn't. They told me okay, figured that was that. They put me with someone else anyway without telling me. I figured she was just getting my nails prepped, then I'd switch to who I asked for when she was ready. Nope, she did the whole thing, while noticeably uncomfortable with the design I wanted, as I watched the girl I requested take a different client. She did her best, but they're not even close to what I wanted, not even color. The shape and application is average for any salon. She rushed off to her next client before I was able to look at them fully finished. I was getting a pedicure so I figured I would have her fix them or at least do something to make it a bit better for me when she was done with that client. Instead she brought me my receipt, said they were already done and that she had to go, so I basically got stuck leaving with nails I hated. I'm primarily frustrated because at any point during the week I could've been contacted regarding scheduling, I would've been happy to move it to another day, or another time to remain with the tech I wanted. I went to every length to ensure I would have who I wanted, and only when I was already an hour away from home and sat in a random techs chair did I learn that wasn't happening. Update- Less than 48 hours and nails are starting to peel and chip :( Original- I really used to love this place, but the quality of work seems to go down every time and their prices keep going up. I went in after work around 6:30 for builder gel and color. I just needed a little self care and they weren't very busy so I was able to get in quickly. They're open till 7:30 but the woman who did my nails was clearly in a huge hurry. She rushed through everything, rough shaped the front my nails but didn't even out the bumps in the gel or smooth the edges. I asked for rounded and I can't even say they're consistent. Some are noticeably shorter than others and lopsided. The pictures aren't the best but Instead of having a nice manicure, my nails look uneven and bulky. I kept expecting her to file things down and hit them with a file, but by the time she was done it was 7:20 and she didn't even ask if I liked them. She had basically started packing up her station. I didn't bother asking her to fix them because she didn't seem interested in making any effort. I probably could have painted them better at home or just gone and purchased some nail wraps somewhere. Super disappointing. Total waste of money. I won't be going back anytime soon. read more

Only go to see Celia and Ami! They are very much and in-and-out establishment so it will make it difficult for you to enjoy your time. They overlook their stylists often and they don't pay attention to their website when you book your appointment. So if they don't have time to do what you booked on their site a week prior, then you won't get what you asked for. I asked the man at the front desk for a coffee and he said he would make me one, I then sat down to get my nails started and Celia asked if I wanted something to drink and I told her I was already waiting for my drink. After a decent amount of time waiting, I assumed he had forgotten and Celia asked someone else if they would get me a drink. They had also booked Ami 3 appointments all 15 min apart so there were girls waiting the entire time I was getting my nails done so she had to rush. They do have a very beautiful establishment, and it can be relaxing but you can tell they are just trying to get it done and get you out. Had a 10 o'clock appointment, selected all my desired services the day before. Walked in at 10 to find probably 8 people ahead of me. I went over and checked in with my cell number and wait to be called,it was just so very disorganized. Everyone is standing there picking colors and services which was delaying everyone else. Finally get called over and then she asked what I wanted. I gave her my name and told her I had my own polish and an appointment and I didn't need to look up any choices . She walks me over to manicure section. I sit there for 20 minutes. I was literally picking up my stuff to leave and the lady comes running in telling me she was late because it's their Christmas party today and she was cooking. Making me even more frustrated. Sorry timeliness is important to me ! And had to ask for a drink while other people who walked in after me already were offered something and having their nails started.She does a good job and brings me my bill. I ask do I pay separately for my pedicure? She says you want a pedicure? I said I had an appointment with all this information and yes I want a pedicure. She says to follow her into the other room and I do, only to have her walk off into a back office. Doesn't tell me we're to go.. finally someone tells me where to sit. And sit I do. For another 15 minutes. No one bothered to turn on the water or anything so I sit waiting for some help. I almost walked out again . Finally someone comes by and starts my service. Only thing is he starts prepping me for gel and that's not what I ordered. And when I tell him he seems mad. Showing me the receipt someone gave him which I guess said gel. Perhaps if someone had checked my reservation this wouldn't be an issue. He took my own polish from me.. didn't he realize it? Quickly finishes the pedi and smears his arm across my toe, and can't even fully clean it off.. Gel manicure started to chip in less than a day. The polish started to bubble on day two. I've never had that happen before. By day 4 I had two nails completely ruined. I do not work with my hands, I was not hard on them. Really disappointing and a waste of money. At least the place is clean but you kind of expect better from a gel manicure. Will not be back. RoyCe Spa is one of the better salons I've been to in Fort Collins. The experience really is elevated the minute you walk in. I was given time to select the color I wanted for my mani and pedi. Then I was greeted by Ami who did my services. You're given a neck wrap during your pedicure and a complimentary drink. I chose a glass of Pinot! The prices of this salon I find are much more affordable compared to their competitors, and they are more attentive to your service. Ami took her time with me and made sure I was well take care of. My daughter and I were here a couple weeks ago for the first time. We got gel pedicures. The experience was awful for my 10 year old because the guy put the towels on her legs that were WAY too hot and when she yelped in pain he didn't understand what was wrong and we had to remove them from her legs. Also now, less than two weeks later, the gel has completely come off of 9 of her toes! Mine are still completely in tact so something wasn't done right on my daughters. One of the worst gel manicures I've ever gotten. The nail tech did not paint my nail at my cuticle, making it look like my nails had three day grow out before I even left the salon and they're super thick at the end and thin at the cuticle so they started peeling after three days. The counterperson asked me before I left if I was happy and I said not really and showed them that my nails weren't entirely painted and he just sort of looked at me like oh it looks fine to me and made me pay. Having my nails done is a luxury that I certainly cannot afford once a week which is what they're forcing you to do if you don't even look good, leaving the salon. read more

i was in on jan. 4th for a simple builder gel fill. it's now only 4 days later and my nail has chipped already. plus the guy that did my nails also cut my finger. it's tiny but it's deep and still hurts after this many days. oh and i was also quoted $75 for the service i was getting at check-in (including design), and when i went to check-out, the guy that did my nails (i think he said his name was Ken(?)) added an extra $5 to my service. when i tried telling the girl at check-out that i was quoted a lesser cost, they would not honor that difference (even tho it was literally on $5). so in total (including a $5 tip because i was too nice of a person and just wanted to leave), i paid $85 for nails that chipped after 4 days, do not look even close to what i asked for, AND a lovely annoying cut that stings every time i touch anything. $85??? $65 for the fill + $10 for design, and whatever the additional $5 came from (thin air???) + my very regretted $5 tip. i always tip for service and i thought $5 would be on par with what i received. now that my paint has chipped after only 4 days?? absolutely not. do not waste your time or money. they do everything they can to drip every last penny from you the entire time you're there. Ken tried talking me out of the coffin shape i wanted multiple times- wanting me to do almond when i never expressed any interest. i told him exactly what i wanted multiple times and he was not hearing me. i feel 10000% robbed of my very hard earned money. just for a FILL. absurd. read more

Great concept, I have been there 7 times already. Here is my experience breakdown below. 1. Head spa - amazing and worth every penny! 2. Facial - Great facial products! Skin feels amazing! But it's 45 min and cost $198.00 with tip out the door. I think it's over priced. I decided to order my own products, and get what they used so I can do my own monthly facials at home. 3. Nails - love them every single time - they do an outstanding job. 4. Pedicure: I don't recommend at all! 3 times and they all have been awful. Last pedicure the young girl did not speak English, looked confused and I can pretty much guarantee she is not licensed. I left there with dry scaled heels, I had to buff out and lotion up once I got home, best part they weren't scaled when I got there. Big toe immediately started throbbing and I got an infection from that service. Trying to treat holistically but doctors visit may be necessary. Overall I will go back for nails only and that occasional head-spa. Never will I have another pedicure there! I would have them show their license if you decide to do so and be careful! read more

We went with a group of four people at 4 PM and didn't leave until 7 PM. It took an excessively long time. Jack Vo's work was awful. He did one of our full sets--a white tip with chrome. I've truly never had a worse manicure. It was rushed, and he kept dropping my hand, messing up the white tip. He used way too much chrome. He left quickly before I did, and my nails looked awful. I had to ask another tech to help fix them, but by that point, most of the damage was done. By the time three out of four in our party were done with their full sets, our fourth member was still having her full set filed for almost an hour. We all waited an extra 45 minutes for her nails to be done. Overall, this place is okay in a pinch, but I wouldn't go back. Would not recommend this spa. Booked a shellac pedicure, and they cut part of my big toe by trimming and filling too much. I asked that she not spray it with alcohol and pointed out the cut. She looked at it and continued to spray it anyway. It burned and I pulled my foot back, not sure why she did this even though she understood my request. I observed other customers complaining about the service and poor quality as well. I only chose this place as they had 4 stars, but this was a 1 star experience. Would not recommend this spa or Julie. Absolutely not worth $50. read more

Today was my first time going the RoyCe Spa for a pedicure. We were promptly greeted and asked to choose what type of pedicure from the menu of services and to choose a color. The color choices were in books and much easier to peruse than the standard dirty nail polish bottles lined up on a display most collecting dust! Crystal was my technician and she was friendly and welcoming. We talked a bit about kids and the upcoming school year as she has to young girls and my daughter (who was also there getting pedi) is a teacher. She was very professional and did a lovely service on my toes! The atmosphere is high end and very professional. It was an enjoyable experience and I would definitely recommend this place! I went to go get my nails done for my birthday the other day and I left before they even applied polish for my gel manicure. Firstly, I scheduled my appointment with an Isabelle W., thinking I was getting a woman as my manicurist, but alas, it was a man (nothing wrong with it, other than I just wasn't expecting that). I have been here once before and they did a good job which is why I chose to make an appointment here again. When he started trimming my cuticles, I thought nothing of it but then I noticed that he was tugging on them a little too hard then that is when he truly cut my finger pretty deep. He cut the actual skin and it didn't stop bleeding until HOURS later - like 4 hours later. He never planned on telling me it was bleeding until I actually saw it. He kept doing my cuticles until he tried to get it to stop when he tried getting nail glue - something of which I was not comfortable with and told him so and stopped him before he applied it as I do not want nail glue in my wound. There was no way I was going to let him continue with my manicure after what he did, though he wanted to continue on with my manicure. I had to tell him multiple times that I did not want to continue with the service especially as he also nicked a couple of my other fingers as well. I ended up getting up and leaving after telling the very nice front staff who checked me in about what happened. I went to a different, smaller nail salon boutique where they were appalled for me. Overall, terrible experience. Thank God for the other nail salon for saving the nails after this guy butchered my nail beds. Only saving grace was the very nice woman who checked me in and felt terrible for what had happened and unfortunately I did not catch her name. I picked out a color that was very light. my tech Jennifer told me it was to light , she said this other color better . it was a dip. she told me it would get much lighter.
