Once I started to really look at his program I was able to really see his program for what it is. I've seen him not feed people's dogs for days, leave them in their kennels (crying & barking) for 10 hrs at a time. Ive heard him talk about clients in such a disrespectful way. I've seen him be cruel and abusive towards dogs that were left in his care for training. He told me that results is all that matters. I would never let him train anything of mine again.

While every aspect of the program was fantastic, two things really stood out. First, the team genuinely cares about every dog--it's clear in everything they do. Second, this wasn't just a training experience for our puppy; it was a learning experience for us as owners, too. As first-time puppy owners, they gave us the skills and confidence we needed, and the progress our puppy made was incredible. We can now take him places and truly enjoy the experience. We initially signed up for six weeks but extended it by three more because of how much progress he was making--and because we knew the impact would be long-lasting. We're even planning to bring him back this summer for additional off-leash training (and because we're pretty sure he misses it!). I can't say enough positive things about the facilities, the staff, and the level of care they provide. They're always available to answer questions and show a genuine investment in each dog's success. It's also such a relief to have found a place we trust for boarding and grooming. She's compassionate, dedicated, and seems to truly understand dogs' motivations and emotions and how to train accordingly. Harriet and I have made tons of progress - we can get through 4/5 walks with little to no reactivity, which is a huge victory in just a couple of months. The groomer was friendly, professional, and had a great "bed side manner" with our dog. It only took two hours before we got to pick him up. He smelled great, his nails were clipped and grinded, and his ears cleaned. All of this cost $55 and there's an option to leave a tip. Given our experience and how close it is to home, we will definitely be returning.

I gave Bark Out Loud a call and someone immediately answered and after a short explanation, I was able to get an appointment for my Beagle mix. Anne was so lovely and nice, and she answered all the relevant questions and concerns I had. The salon was a happy yellow inside and the grooming area was an open space, which I liked because I've been to other salons where the grooming area was closed off; you couldn't see how they cleaned and treated your pets, and that honestly made me nervous. Also, I really appreciated that I didn't have to go through hoops to get an appointment. I've called other groomers in the area and they either didn't accept new clients or I had to fill out a form online to be waitlisted...I didn't know finding a new groomer could be this difficult? Anyway, I just needed a regular bath package, nail buffing and gland expression for my short haired boy. Anne messaged me as soon as my dog was ready to be picked up, faster than the estimated two hour window! She explained what she did and couldn't do, which was par for the course, since my dog hated getting his nails trimmed. Even so, he looked nice and clean with a smile on his face; he didn't look stressed at all! The prices were reasonable and she offered spa packages and other extras, if you'd like to pamper your babies. I will definitely come back!
