We used Swooft for 4 weeks and it was one of the worst experiences I ever had with a dog walking service. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. The walker did not close my dog's crate properly, leaving my dog to roam our house and possibly hurt herself for over 6 hours. My dog's behavior started to change for the worst after I started using Swooft (destructive, unhappy). The app that tracks walks showed the walker taking my dog across Elston, an extremely dangerous intersection, and at one point the walker did not end the walk in the app, leaving me in a panic that my dog was missing/lost as the app showed she had been gone for over an hour. Below is Sarah, the owners response in an email (or lack of) basically stating she cannot guarantee my dog's safety. Based on talking with Michael, in this case it was him forgetting to check out and realizing it when he got home, so it wasn't a result of the glitch I mentioned. I apologize for this - we have full confidence in our staff, but even the best intentioned humans make small mistakes from time to time. In this case, I realize a small mistake caused a lot of stress for you and I'm very sorry about that. Both of the two matters (crate door and today) were human error - it was nothing done out of malice and isn't something that I can promise would never happen because humans are never perfect. Please know that I'm not trying to excuse or brush off either mistake, I simply want to be realistic about what I can and can't guarantee. read more

S'wooft has been a godsend for us! We first used their services last May and were admittedly a little later to schedule than we would have liked. Sarah got back to us very quickly and scheduled an in-home "get to know you" consult with Misty, who would be caring for our (at the time one) cat while we were out of town. I had to cancel the scheduled consult when my doctor sent me to the emergency room, and Sarah and Misty graciously rescheduled without any trouble. We've used them several times since, one being an emergency trip out of state for a family funeral. We had a newer cat who was on medication at the time, and S'wooft was so easy to schedule (even at the absolute last minute), and so sympathetic to my situation. It was huge relief to know that my babies were in the best of hands. S'wooft has always been there when we needed them, and has always been kind, professional, and given our kitties the best care possible. Our cats LOVE Misty and Sarah! I have only positive things to say about S'wooft, and look forward to the daily updates I get when we're away. Perhaps the best picture in existence of our female cat was taken by Sarah while we were at the aforementioned funeral--definitely a bright spot for us and a photo I cherish. A trusted cat sitter isn't something I had to worry about for a very long time, until we recently moved closer to the city. Having a week before we left for vacation, and not having someone lined up, I was a bit panicky. Thank God I found S'wooft. Sarah was great about contacting me back and answering all my questions. Sarah and Tim even agreed to meet us and our cat early on a Saturday morning to provide keys and to introduce our cat to them, since our schedule was so booked that week. Both Sarah and Tim took the time to learn about a few of the nuances of our cat, and I left for vacation feeling very good about leaving him in caring hands. Tim went above and beyond by texting me photos of our cat periodically with short updates on how he was interacting with him. He even saw a potential problem inside the house and corrected it for us. When we returned home, all of our mail was brought in and our cat was in good spirits. Tim even watered our houseplants for us. As an animal lover, having peace of mind that your family pet/s are OK while you're gone is priceless. When I had go away for a weekend, I didn't have to worry because the staff at S'wooft took care of my pup. I left detailed information about my dog's various idiosyncrasies (such as a penchant for eating socks when she was a puppy) and how she was on walks, and they treated her with as much love as I give her. The pictures that they included showed that she had a great time (including running under the coffee table with her ball) and that she really appreciated her walks and feeding times. Every weekday (2 days 10 min. let outs and 3 days 30 min walk) amounting to about 350 a month for let out and walks, not including when I traveled and the additional tips I provided. I've been using S'wooft for about 6 months and have had a great experience. Scheduling is easy on the app and I often have to make changes to the schedule which are put in place quickly after I enter the information. I wish we would get pictures through the app more frequently. Our dog is very anxious and not very fond of walking away from our home but Sarah and her team have been great in working with him and usually get him to walk around the block then they spend the remainder of the paid time either in our back yard or home. I cannot even begin to express how excited our family is about S'wooft! Sarah, the owner, and one of her walkers, Elysabeth came for the initial consult. They were both professional and experienced; I hung on every word since we're new to this wonderful service. I liked them immediately. Our concern was our big dog and thought this 145 Rottweiler beast might ruin this for us all. Gordon came running in with nubby tail wagging and took to both girls just like I did!
