The store associates are friendly. The store is well laid out with visually appealing merchandising. We love coming here with our dog and take her on a bone shopping spree. They have lots of nice treat options. They also carry Stella & Chewy's dinner dust which is a big help as topper for our dogs food. She always holds out for treats but the topper helps with getting her to eat her meals. It's not carried many places and is easier to use with small dogs instead of grinding up the pellet toppers. read more

We love Polkadog Bakery! Amazing local establishment with good, quality made treats. It's like a candy store for pets! They also sell some larger food options, accessories such as collars, leashes, and toys, and cute birthday items.The staff were so sweet and kind and treated our little senior girl like a VIP (special thanks to Brian)! She was so spoiled by lots of love, pets, and sample treats. Her obsessions are their "Puppy Puffs" and freeze-dried liver treats. I love this store! It is so cute and there is a treat bar where you can make your own mix and get as much as you want by the oz. My dog loves the yogurt chips and the graham bears. The manager (or owner) was very kind and double checked certain treats and bones etc for me since my dog has a chicken allergy. He also let me have a bone for free to see if my dog would like it before buying one. He was kind, informative and generous. There are parking garages nearby including one in the back of the building where polka dog is. I will definitely be back and certainly recommend to all dog owners! read more

This is a brand new location in seaport Boston! I went in with my friend and our dogs when I was visiting Boston! This place is amazing! So many dog treats left and right! Seems like they only carry healthy wholistic premium brands and natural ingredients treats! They have a large selection of open treats in huge jars for your dog to sample first before buying! The workers there were also so friendly! They gave our dogs treats and took pictures of them to post on their Instagram account! Yes- they take pics of every dog that comes in and posts them on their IG page! Because it was my first time and my friend is a regular there, we got free poop bag holders and a collapsible water bowl! I can't wait to be back next time I'm in town! read more

Very average place!! Staff I've dealt with over the five times I've gone here have been very rude or sat on their phones! Additionally the toys Are overpriced and break instantly, the food and treats are still good. Unfortunately it's the closest dog store for me in seaport so I'll keep coming I just hope it gets better!!!! read more

I stopped by polka dog bakery a couple weeks ago with both of my English springer spaniels. I've been ordering online from them for a couple years now and love their products. While I was there I purchased many of the treats they had in the open jars in front of the register in addition to bags of their name branded items. In fact, I stocked up that day to the total of $122. As soon as I gave the treats from the open containers to my dogs they both got very sick. A couple days later, thinking they may have gotten sick from something else, I gave them these treats again . Once again, they got very sick. I threw the treats out and called polka dog to report this. They said they were very sorry and would have a manager call me. No one called, no offer of a refund either. I know they've gotten very popular lately and may not feel that they need to make everyone happy but there are lots of choices out there for pet food and treats. As a regular customer I expected more. Sadly, this place seems to be becoming another faceless corporate entity. read more

First and last time visiting this place. The gentleman working on the morning of September 23rd has poor to absolutely no customer service. I asked for recommendations for my dog. And his response was sassy and full of attitude. I really wanted to love this place as they have such a huge selection of treats but I'll have to take my business somewhere else. read more

Polkadog opened when our pup, Brady, was a senior. Despite his body not being what it once was, he would insist on walking to Polkadog every afternoon. As his condition worsened, he spent the last few months being wheeled around the Seaport in a red wagon. We knew the end was near and planned to have a vet come to the condo on a Saturday so we could make sure his last days were extra special. Polkadog was part of our last day together and when we arrived, the most beautiful thing happened. One of our neighbors had apparently mentioned Brady to the store associate earlier in the week (and the plans) so when we went to pay for Brady's last treats, the associate - with tears in his eyes - told us it was on the house that day. I was too shocked and sad in the moment to react appropriately (I think I just said thank you quickly and rushed out before I broke down). That was over a year ago but that level of kindness will never be forgotten. Thank you for being such a special place for Brady. He was the love of my life and I'm so grateful to have had a wonderful place like Polkadog in the neighborhood for dogs like him. I've not been able to step foot back in the store since that day but wanted to make sure to share my experience so others know just how lovely Polkadog is (and a very big thank you to the kind soul that was there on our hardest day - I will remember that gesture forever). read more
