Took my senior pup to D'Tails for grooming and had an amazing experience! The groomer, David, was very patient and careful with my dogs ailments. He knew exactly what kind of cut would suit my dog best and got her looking cuter than she already was. The pricing was also very fair! Especially for Boston. The boutique owner was extremely welcoming and friendly. She even gave my other pup free treats that her mom had made. Definitely recommend this boutique and groomer. Every interaction I had was extremely pleasant and we can't wait to go back!

Rusty fresh from D'Tails!

Susan is the BEST groomer! She takes such good care of my dog, keeps great notes so his cut is always consistent, and you can just tell she loves her doggie clients! Not only does she also do a great job getting all the loose hair, she works her magic on making Rusty's teeth sparkle. :) Highly recommended! In addition Dawn has the best selection of treats, food and unique collars for your pup. The day care services are also great, and they are easy to work with.

Our Diamond absolutely loved her treats from D'tails! (Goat milk bars)

I let Jennifer know about the my dog's specific routines, as well that she is diabetic. When I returned a couple of hours later, I found that my instructions regarding her meals were directly disregarded. Not only was there mess of fecal matter left at the back of our home, but I found that Penny had another full bowl of kibble despite her eating prior to me leaving her. Penny's health conditions make it so that she shouldn't have no more than a full bowl of kibble a day. If she does she risks exacerbating her health conditions. Jennifer was extremely careless in her care taking and for that I will no longer be a customer.

I really appreciate the flexibility as Sierra may be out of town with us during the week, or need to stay in town when we are away and Jen always finds a way to make it work-sometimes on very short notice. I especially appreciated when Sierra came down with signs illness right before we were scheduled to leave town on a big vacation and Jen took it all in stride. Fortunately it didn't turn into anything serious but a "doggie spa" would have refused to take her at the last minute leaving us stranded. Jen is a pro who clearly loves dogs and they love her!

Hands down, the best dog walking service in Boston... actually, the best anywhere that I've found!…read moreI met Michelle and Claudia a few years ago when I got my lab puppy, and knew that I wanted and needed someone special to care for my little babby when I wasn't around. First, the fact that they literally stand by their name, One Dog At a Time, is the most comforting thing in the world to me... There's no pile of dogs waiting to jump all over my guy when they bring him out - there's no dragging the dog by the leash because the other dogs won't stop - there's no concern about whether he actually went to the bathroom or not - as Michelle and Claudia actually walk ONE DOG AT A TIME! That makes me and our boy so happy that the attention is on him, and not distracted by a bunch of other dogs. Second, is the fact that Michelle and Claudia are dog owners and truly dog lovers to the bone, I know that Sollie is getting love and attention, and he's not just another dog on their list of dogs. I drove by Ringgold park and saw Michelle sitting on a bench with Sollie, cuddling and massaging his face. Sollie's tail was thumping out a beat that could be heard across the park, and it made me smile from ear to ear to see my boy getting spoiled like that. So instead of worrying about your dog being walked as part of a mass pile of dogs, and instead of wondering if your dogs got a great walk where they were able to go to the bathroom and get some personal attention, leave all that behind and call Michelle and Claudia. The best dog walkers, hands down!!!

Great communication- daily text updates to let us know how the walk went and any issues that might have come up 3. Excellent web interface - the website allows for easy scheduling and weekly autopay options 4. Flexibility - We have a very dynamic work schedule, and Heather is extraordinarily accommodating with last minute changes and irregular days on a week-to-week basis Heather has been a huge blessing for our family, and we honestly don't know where we'd be without her. When we first rescued our dog, he was extremely nervous around strangers. Unfortunately, as a two-career household, we had to figure out a dogwalking situation that would work for him. We went through several dogwalking programs who flat out told us no and went so far as to make us feel as if there was something wrong with our dog for being so fearful. Heather, on the other hand, was a relief from the moment she walked in the door. She met our dog for about 15 minutes and was immediately confident that she could walk him. Her easygoing assuredness made us feel so much better about leaving him to go to work. Now he runs to meet her at the door and can't wait to go out with her. She's also been instrumental in bringing him out of his shell with other dogs - he has several friends through Heather that he walks with. Overall, Tails of Boston has been a tremendous benefit to our whole family, and we are so grateful to have Heather!

Jack Russells are notorious little crazed beasts, with an intense amount of energy. Having PITV as our walker has done wonders for Max. Elizabeth is his walker and is absolutely beyond phenomenal. She cares for Max as well as (or possibly better!) than we do. He's weird around other dogs, but she has worked closely with him and created an environment when he walks with ELEVEN other dogs in his group, without a hitch. Elizabeth sends us amazing pictures of Max every single time she walks him, and is excellent at communicating with us regarding his behavior (good and bad!). Paws in the 'Ville provides an absolute reliable, friendly service. We were brand-new dog owners when we started with them and Seana did everything we needed to assist us and created a huge level of trust. When we needed to switch walkers after one left PITV, Max had some issues transitioning - barking like crazy when a different walker came to get him and refusing to go with them. Seana worked closely with us until she found Elizabeth to work with Max. We felt completely supported throughout. I can honestly say that PITV is absolutely the best bang for the buck. It's beyond worth every penny we spend to know that Max is in extremely capable hands. Great communication, great community, great owner, great walkers. I can't say enough good things about this company.

I moved to Boston in November and decided to send my dog to daycare and boarding here as it's close by to my home. Previously my dog was in daycare for years in our other city we lived in and he absolutely loved it. Immediately upon arriving to this location it is incredibly small. I believe they take the pups on pack walks so they're not inside the whole day. It's so small inside I don't see how they even have enough room to play. I started sending my dog here on Saturdays and I noticed he would start crying when we would turn onto the block. I'd drop him off and he would have a complete meltdown and I didn't understand why, as the staff here is incredibly kind. I also had to start traveling for work, so when my pet sitter couldn't stay with him I'd send him to boarding, which they'd transport him to their Roxbury location. It was like pulling teeth to get any updates on how he was doing. They don't answer their texts sometimes for a full day. I had to beg them to finally start uploading a report card just to know how he was doing or if he was ok. The lack of communication alone should have been a big enough red flag to stop sending him here, along with the stress he seemed to be under upon drop off and pick up. In January I sent him for boarding for a work trip and a couple days after I picked him up he got incredibly sick. He ended up having to be hospitalized for a couple of days and I paid almost $10k in vet bills. They said he likely caught something from another dog. Several months later, again after a work trip he now won't let any of my dog walkers approach him with his prong collar. I don't know if maybe someone at the Roxbury location handled him aggressively with his collar, but he's 5 years old and has been wearing this collar since he was a year and a half old. We have never had issues with it until I started sending him here. I have no idea if something happened to him at that location since their communication is abysmal. A couple of days after this, I saw a Facebook thread of a woman who sent their dog here for a simple nail trim and they gave her pup back with a popped blood vessel in its eye and said they had no video footage to provide when she asked. Everyone in the comments said that a popped blood vessel in the eye is a sign of strangulation, and people started sharing their terrible experiences about this place. This would make sense why my pup doesn't want anything near his neck anymore. I'm not sure why there aren't many google reviews, but there were hundreds of comments of people sharing their unsettling stories here. On top of the financial stress this has put me under, I've also had to completely change my work schedule to walk my dog since he doesn't trust any walkers anymore. I now have him in a harness and have been doing more training with him, but I've had to cancel all of my travel for work because of this. I've never had any behavioral issues with my dog until sending him here.
