I used to go around the corner to do my laundry on L at and since they closed over come to Precious M. What a difference. All the machines work, the place is clean, they even have a TV and bathroom. The attendants that work their are very kind and helpful. I'm so glad we do our laundry here. It's so worth it!!!! read more

I have tried other laundry services and while not awful, they don't begin to match Precious M. My experience has been great from the start. My laundry comes back clean, fresh smelling without being overly perfumed but not smelling like industrial laundry detergent either and everything is neatly folded, ready to put it away. The owner is very nice and great at communicating. Customer service is A++. I highly recommend this place. read more

I tried Precious M for Wash-Dry-Fold, and it was a horrible experience for the following reasons: 1). Dropped off ona Saturday, and they promised to have it done by Tuesday at 1pm. At 2pm on Tuesday, she told me to come back at 4:30. At 5:00, she could not find my laundry. Back at 6:00, What she could find was still in the dryer 2.). She had to open up three other people's orders to find my missing items (mind you, I'd dropped off three sheet sets, a blanket, and two towels.). The sheet sets were found in the orders of three other people. 3.). When all of my stuff was finally found, and I opened up my laundry at home, the towels and sheets were still damp. She had next to no apology for this. She just said that she had too many loads of laundry to do, so she mixed up other's laundry. There is no way I will ever bring any business to Precious M, ever again. I'm lucky I went to pick up my laundry before the others with whom my laundry was mixed picked up theirs. One star is far too much. Stay away from this place. read more

Got balloons here for my daughter's birthday. It was $57 for 4 balloons, 2 large 2 small. I made the mistake of not asking the price before ordering. The same exact balloons at Party City would have been $30 for pick-up or $40 for delivery (from the Everett store). The balloons are great but minus 2 stars because that price is outrageous. read more

My washing machine broke down and I needed to use a laundromat, which I dreaded. When I arrived at Precious M, I could see one of the staff cleaning the tables and machines. It's clean and tidy and the staff are lovely. read more

I have been hit by porch pirates time and again. I have all my packages sent to Precious M and when the notice comes that my package can be picked up, I gather my laundry and head over to get it done. Felix is so personable, friendly and kind. He knows what he is doing and does it with pride. Always helpful and the prices are more reasonable than any where around. Convenient and near everything I need. Drop off service is quick and easy. I am the WORST at doing my laundry! I purposely own like 100 + pairs of underwear and lots and lots of clothing so that I only have to do laundry about every two months or so! That and my land lord put up a mean sign that restricts the hours we can do laundry in the building from 10am to 8pm! I am a workaholic or I am out in Boston, when are things supposed to be cleaned!?!?! Well, Katcha at Suds City saved my day! My roommate has had Katcha arriving at our house to pick-up and then deliver her laundry for about the last 6 months. At first, I felt like this was the lazy way out and MUST be too expensive. But one morning when my pile was growing and Katcha arrived at the door with a delivery I asked if she would wait while I collected my and my guys things. Two days and $44 dollars later we had a HUGE bag of clean clothes and 15 pressed and dry cleaned collared shirts delivered right to our door by 9am! Did I mention the delivery/pick-up is FREE?!? I will still be washing some of my own things, towels, socks etc. I don't want to feel too helpless ;) but in a pinch, Katcha is awesome and totally worth it! read more

Sud's City is great!!! This is my local laundry mat and I must say that they are extreme pleasant there!! There are plenty of machines so you don't have to wait, super high capacity machines too!!! They always have the either the music on 93.7 Mike FM or the TV. There's even a play room for kids with a couch! If you wanted to there's plenty of cafes and bars and pizza shops in the area that you could visit too!! Oh, and lastly... the owner there is super nice. Most of the time I do my laundry right before they close and if I am ever running a little late she always tells me, "Don't rush, I'm going to be here so I don't care if you're here past closing." ...how awesome is that!!?? read more

This centrally located laundromat is definitely worth the value. I typically show up with an over flowing laundry basket and throw it in one of the industrial washers for $5. It easily handles 2+ weeks of laundry. Drying is cheap and efficient with only a few quarters doing the trick. I can do 2-3 weeks of laundry in one shot for about $6.50 and a little over an hour. I haven't tried their drop off service since I live right down the street, but I have never seen an angry customer in there. read more

This laundry is a dump. It is dirty. The machines are not well maintained. The smell in there is horrible. I have been drying my clothes for over an hour in high and they are still wet. I would never recommend this laundry to anyone! Go to the laundry on L st! read more

I'm a fan of Suds City. Lots and lots of washers and driers, nearby restaurants to grab a bite at if you're bored with the laundry, and they're open late enough that I wouldn't have to totally rush over there right after work. read more

I haven't been to any other laundry mats... ever, but as far it goes in my book, Suds City is great. The washing machines cost $3.25 (expensive!), but the dryer is $.25 for every 6 minutes. I've done a full load in there and it dries it for $.75 to $1.00. Therefore, it comes out to only be about $4... the same amount I'd pay for in the basement of my old apartment building. I have also dropped off clothing and gotten dry cleaning done here, and it always comes back nicely pressed/packaged! read more

I recently moved to South Boston and chose Suds at my new dry cleaner since their location was so convenient. They do a great job and the prices were amazing! I dropped off a pair of dress slacks, 2 blouses, and a dress. The total bill was only $30. Generally dry cleaners will mark up the costs for women's clothing, but that was not the case here. I am very pleased with the service, and the care they took with the items. Plus again, the cost is so reasonable! read more

I've been coming here for weeks while working in town because it's very close to my hotel. The ladies that I talk to who work here are very sweet. Having said that, a lot of the washers are disgusting and one is always filled with mud water after 6 weeks has never been fixed or cleaned. I use the same washer each time because it's in the back and the only one that is clean. read more

There's 1 big washer here that can take about 2 big trash bags of wash and a lot of smaller washers that are mostly broken or out of use indefinitely. Also to lurk the premises is a middle aged woman who is very cranky and hates all man-kind. Be careful of interacting with her unless you absolutely need to. I am reviewing their drop-off wash-dry-fold service, which is more expensive than washing your own clothes, but is still cheaper than most similar services at other locations. At a reasonable $1.10/lb with a 15lb minimum, the drop-off service is convenient and inexpensive, especially if you do laundry less than once a week. The results are pretty good. I dropped off mixed whites/colors with different care profiles (some cotton, some blends, some linen, and some synthetic) and they all came back clean, fragrance-free, and wrinkle-free. The service has a ~24hr turnaround for about 15-20lb of clothes. For comparison, I believe the same amount of laundry would have cost $8-10 to wash on your own using the coin-op machines. read more

Holy Sh#t!!! I just moved to Southie and I have two small kids and no husband. I work full time and do school activaties when I can. I always did my own laundry at local matts. I found that Suds City was the biggest and cleanest in Southie. The staff are very helpfull as well. There is one woman in the afternoon that doesn't speak english hardly at all. She is so funny and nice. She is one of the most helpful people. She helped me get ranch sause off my daughters pants for free. She showed me a way to dry my sneakers without wrecking them. One day I was running much later then usual and I left it to be washed for me. I came in at 1 in the afternoon and was told that it would be ready the next afternoon but I asked to have it dome the same day if they could. Did I already say Holy Sh#t? I picked my cloths up at 7 that same day and when I came home and unpacked it I started crying. I couldn't believe it. I have never seen my childrens cloths so clean and nicely folded. Everything was in piles of itself. the pants were all together all my socks were matched. They even folded my thongs. WOW. that's all I can say, You have to see it for Yourself. I'm never doing my own laundry again as long as Suds City is owned by these people. read more

I go here from my fanncy-pants home in the Back Bay because the people are so nice and the machines rock and you just get all you need done and then some. Cafe next door for coffee while you wait - which isn't long as the HUGE machines get the cycle done so fast! read more

Put my laundry in the dryer... Came back an hour and 20 mins later and not only was my laundry moved to a different drier, but it was soaking wet. Being 830pm and closing at 9 on a Wednesday, I had to leave my stuff overnight and pick it up in the morning (needing it for work- completely inconvenient). Also, almost half of the machines have a note "do not use." There's a much better place near E and West Broadway that I usually use that was closed for some reason. read more

We were travelling Boston from out of town and desperately needed clothes washed. The machines were a good size cost split between four of us was fine and a bonus is we got a donut and coffee and went next door for a pedi and mani. The staff were lovely they gave us Polish candy and assisted us to call a cab. All in all a wonderful experience and highly recommend. read more
