I often pick up lunch at this restaurant. I really don't ask much since half of chicken meal is what I often eat. Occasionally, I will order cabbage soup. So today I order a cabbage soup, and asked to replace the thigh with either with a wing or another leg. The cashier was so adament that the order comes with a leg and a thigh. I tried to explain to her that someone accommodated me before. So she asked me if I want to speak to a manager. In less than 3 seconds, she said the manager is not here. She didn't believe that the same place accommodated me, should I believe her the manager is not available? When someone wants soup, they don't need a lot of meat overwhelmingly filling up the container. I want soup She didn't even ask if I am willing to pay extra. I am upset because I eat there often. The food overall is good, just like any other normal pollo regio.Now the service it has happened to me a couple of times that I have to stand there waiting because all the workers are always standing there talking. For them to be standing there talking they should instead be cleaning becuase I've ate here several times and it's always dirty, the floors are always dirty so are the tables. Me and my family came here last night around 7pm and they weren't even busy to where we had to wait 40 minutes for some chicken because they ran out, I noticed that they were giving out drive thru and take out orders first, I get the urge to get drive thru orders out but it's not fair for the people who have been waiting inside for their food. Also my torta was not the best either it was cold and they drenched it in avocado like the avocado overpowered the meat and everything in it. This has probably been the worst pollo regio location I've been to. Personally I'll keep going to the one in mesquite. read more

This is absolutely the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Pollo Regio is much better in its other locations. About a month ago I went into the restaurant and I was looking at the sides, the person I was with said "they never have any of those sides here." There was an ad for smothered fries and a guy had waited for almost thirty minutes. The manager, who was very unprofessional asked if he would like a Pina Empanada in a sarcastic way. Sure enough, almost none of the sides. It was SO bad I let Pollo Regio know. They told me to install their app and they would give me points which was enough for a free churro. Fair enough. I returned last Sunday and the same manager and immediately one of the servers said, "we have no rice," and of course, many of the other sides they did not have either. When they had no containers for the sauces one of the servers brought out about fifty lids and asked if that would be okay. I merely said that usually you have to have a container to use a lid. He was so lazy that he could not even restock the containers for other customers so brought me three containers. When I tried to use the app for the free churro, literally six people gathered around the cash register and looked like 2x4s had hit them all upside their heads. One of the servers said, "yeah people don't use that here usually and you didn't purchase the minimum amount," which we had and then he said, "we can give you a churro for free." The fries came later and were not ready for the meal. Many of the employees were just standing around and of course, the manager was as well. Pollo Regio had done nothing to change anything at this location. One woman in line who was aware of everything said, "this location is a disaster, sometimes they don't even have chicken." This is our favorite location of the chain, its still fairly new but we have been going there since it opened and almost naver had bad service or bad food. We mainly stick to the chicken but we have tried the papa with carne asada and love it as well ohh and the tacos are not bad. read more

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I ordered food through the drive they Sunday, 9/16/18. They took 30 minutes to get me from the order area to the boy window, when I got to the order window they told me they didn't have anymore of what I ordered. I opted to get something else thinking I'm wouldn't be charged the difference but I was charged. To top it off I had to wait another 25 minutes to get my food! Not impressed. The two stars are being generous to be honest. One star is for the incredible small greeting you at the door, and the other star is for the portion sizes. I went here with a group of friends on our lunch break at the request of someone who'd eaten here before. I almost cancelled my order after seeing so many flies. Not sure where they were coming from, but it was mentioned that the back door was probably open to lure customers in with the smoky flavor that seems to be so popular. Only two people, out of ten in our group, completed their whole meal. I threw the majority of my nachos away. Why? Because, the chicken nacho I ordered was full of chicken bones! LOVE THIS PLACE. There was more than enough food and all of it was delicious! The chicken was seasoned and grilled to perfection, the beans were spectacular. And I would never have eaten grilled onion nor tortillas with this meal. If this is not authentic Mexican food it should be classified as such. If not, it's really good Tex-Mex. Let's start off with the smell of the restrooms as soon as you walk in the door. Sickening!! Not to mention the filth. There was food, straws, lids, dirt & mud all over the floors. The seats were dirty. I regret not getting pictures to add to this review. The salsa bar was empty and a freaking mess. If I was a health inspector, I would have closed this place down on sight.
