This was easily the worst Pluckers experience I've ever had, which is disappointing because I've had great experiences at other locations (especially Allen). Today was my birthday, and my husband and I drove about an hour specifically because I was craving the Batman drink and wanted to use my birthday dessert coupon. After being seated, it took around 10 minutes before our food arrived, and we still hadn't received our drinks. We ended up getting and eating our appetizer before any drinks showed up. About 30 minutes into our visit, our server informed us they didn't have the ingredients ready for the Batman drink. He then asked whether my husband wanted his beer now or if he wanted to wait and receive it with my drink. We asked how long my drink would take, and a few minutes later he came back saying they were waiting on a manager. When I asked how long that would be, he initially said "a little bit." After I pressed for a timeframe, he said it could be a few hours. At that point we had already wasted 30-40+ minutes of my birthday waiting on a drink that never arrived. To make matters worse, my birthday coupon was only valid for a $7 dessert, but every dessert on the menu was $8, making the coupon essentially useless. The coupon also showed a date that didn't even match my actual birthday. The most frustrating part is that we came primarily for the drinks and birthday dessert, and neither worked out. We ended up leaving after spending a significant amount of time waiting with very little communication or resolution. Despite the experience, my husband still tipped 100% on our appetizer bill. This review isn't about getting free stuff--it's about poor management, poor communication, and wasting a customer's time on a special occasion. I ordered DoorDash tonight and my order stated it would be ready at 10:33. I arrived around 10:40 and my order was not ready. I waited another 25 mins for the order to come out cold after being told it was being worked on. That is so ridiculous. I understand being understaffed but there is no way if you are cooking the food fresh, that my order should be cold. Such a disappointing experience after a long freaking day and you're literally starving and now it's too late to go anywhere else. Oh by the way, these are supposed to be to be Parmesan garlic... I joined the wait list online , as anyone who's aware of how busy pluckers get on a Friday night . we drove 30 minutes to this location we wanted to check in 20 minutes early. Well as soon as I walk up the steps I get a notification that I'm now off the waiting list. I told them thinking I still had my table because I got the notification less than a minute ago. Well they take my name and I asked do I still have to wait and she responded with a NO . As a costumer I believed her , welp another minutes go by and I still had hope . Since the employee said I didn't have to wait . NOPE 30 minutes go by and seeing everyone else gets there seat I decided to walk out the doors. ofc I see so many open tables as I walk out ! The take-out service is horrible. I waited 15 minutes to make a take out order. The operations here is horrible. The manager stands around and watch. The lady taking the order is the only one taking orders as she has to go to the back and pick up the orders for face to face and over the phone orders. Apparently the other lady assigned to do that is not efficient as I observed her being just as rude and impolite to a guess who was waiting for her pick up order. I also observed and witnessed hearing the phone ring numerous times as the host finally picked it up and hung it up just to stop the ringing. I am taken back how awful this place is managed and the amount of money that is being lost as a result of inefficient training and poor management. I would be furious if I was the franchise owner of this establishment. Truly a disgrace to the Pluckers brand. read more

Today, wife and I had our first visit to Pluckers!!! Well how do you say ONE AND DONE!!!The hostess station was like a Zoo!We asked for table they took us to a booth!!!Melanie our waitress was very nice a bit nervous. Told her it was our first visit. She took our drink order Water and Coke Zero and fried pickles. She then took our orders and said pickles will be here shortly. Got the pickles as pictures fresh and hot. We ate pickles and was hoping food would be as fresh! We continued to wait and our food came to our table. Wings were not hot and tough like had been cooked a while. Wife had LarryBird sandwich. One of the best locations, food was fresh and the drinks were great. Customer service was good too, she was fast with all the requests we had. It's almost always packed ESPECIALLY on the weekends so be sure to join their waitlist through their app or on here. We ordered the buffalo bites, philly cheesesteak, bypass burger with waffle fries. If you don't like their chicken, they'll give you the BIRD! This Pluckers Wing Bar in Mesquite is a nice, new and modern location of the Texas based hitting chain. I don't have much negative to say, other than that the volume of the televisions was so loud that we couldn't easily have a conversation at our table. I suppose that may be perfect depending on who you are and what you want. For most people, watching the game is a part of the appeal so I get it. Service here was stellar, and our main waitress came by many times and handled all needs, but the surprise was the other team members coming behind her to double check her work and help just in case. Awesome. Super attentive. The food? Fine! Wings, Burgers, Waffle Fries, all the guilty pleasures and sports bar staples you'd want. A unique item here are the fried macaroni and cheese sticks, which seems like they are right out of the State Fair of Texas. Very cool. Our server was amazing she was really attentive we were a large party of 21 two tables. Food was great it had been a while since I had been to pluckers so we came to this newer location. Our Aunt arrived at 6:15pm and We were able to use our Yelp waitlist so seating time was expected about 7:15 to 7:31 so we made sure people were all present during that time frame. Check in was done was told it was almost ready it was past the expected time at this point checked in again then claims of just needing the tables cleaned came out which ok so at this point it is about 8:25 when we are told tables are ready in a complete different area then she mentioned the cleaning earlier. read more

Once we ordered our food, we saw other tables around us receive theirs before us. We waited about 30 minutes for our food. The fries were cold. For starters I joined the waitlist at 5:30 and it said my table would be ready between 6:45-7:16. I live 15 mins away from the restaurant so I had decided to leave my house at 6:15to allow myself a 30 minute grace period to make it there in time, again I live 15 minutes away. On my way out my house I get a notification saying that my table was ready at 6:05 not even 3 minutes later my table gets cancelled. At the restaurant I had to wait 45 more minutes to get seated. Once seated we went ahead and ordered a side of hollymac, to which our server said " yea you can't order that we are out" just to find out the new guests sitting behind us which arrived after us were served that same order. After I confronted my server she said she never said that they were out. Our server was Allyn R. Also just because they were busy they refused to serve me a second beer while I was enjoying dinner with my family claiming they had a two beer policy. I had never heard something so stupid in my from a sports bar. Update: unfortunately I really wanted to like this place because it's my closest location but the service every. single. time after Lauren has been horrendous. I have been more than a handful of time after original review and it hasn't gotten better. They are ALWAYS out of the holy Mac. I even called to make sure ahead of time to make sure they had it, person on the phone said yes. I arrived 10 minutes later (maybe less) and our waiter said they didn't have any. My wings didn't taste fresh, nor did they even arrive at the right temperature--they were lukewarm at best. I expected a wait to be seated due to high demand, but waiting 20 minutes just to place an order and then another 30+ minutes for food is unacceptable. The Mesquite location needs to step up or risk shutting down. A high-demand area won't save a poorly run restaurant. read more
