Omg this place is wild!!! In a good way lol... their burgers are so delicious and juicy that I was trying to eat slow but, I just couldn't wait to take another bite. This place is amazing!! The service is great: they have a drive thru which is pretty cool. I ordered the whole fried catfish with corn fritters!! My whole entree was GREAT!! I hate that I didn't take a picture of my food. The last time I visited this restaurant was in 2016. The ownership and name at that time was Howard's. I decided to go by to purchase the lunch special number one catfish nuggets. The lunch special comes with one side so I wanted red beans and rice. I was informed that it comes with fries which meant I would be charged an additional $3 for the red beans and rice. I didn't open my meal until I reach my home. My meal total was $11.90 the lunch special is $7.99. To my disappointment I had about 6 nuggets and twenty french fries. The container for the red beans was small. I am thinking to myself is this a child's meal. All the pictures online I have seen the nuggets filled the takeout container. Ok, haven't been here since it was called Howard's and that was 3 years ago. So, I decided to give this place a try today. I searched for a menu online and could not locate one. I called them up and a nice lady offered to text me a menu. Now that's customer service. After I received the menu, I decided to try the catfish nuggets lunch special, which was 6.99. I have a picture and as you can tell you get a lot for your money. Not only do you get a hefty serving of nuggets, you get fries, peppers and Texas toast. The catfish was fried perfectly and had a lovely golden color. The fries were nothing special but still tasted good. The Texas toast was well buttered and tasted good. I also ordered 2 pork chop baskets. Now, whenever i order chops, I get scared that they will be small and dry. These chops were thick cut and well seasoned. I was very impressed with the size. The chops were cooked perfectly and tasted good. Just like the nugget basket, you get fries,peppers and Texas toast with your chops. The chop basket was 10.99 which wasn't bad for 2 THICK chops and all the fixings. Finally, I ordered a slice if lemon cake and chocolate. So far, I have already tried the lemon and it was fresh, very moist and had a nice lemon flavor. Apparently, they get their sweets from a company called Latham Bakery. Fish is very well cooked and tasty. I gave it a four because I'm cheap and it can be a little pricey. Also they forgot my sauce. So once I got home sat down and started eating I didn't have sauce but it really didn't need anything extra it was amazing! You place your order at the window and pay, park on the other side and wait for someone to bring your order out. We get our food and come home to discover that the styrofoam trays containing our food had melted. Why would you plate hot food in a styrofoam tray without punctured holes and foil to prevent moisture buildup and melting of the styrofoam? We wasted 24.00 on 2 pork chop baskets.
