All of yall saying the chicken is bland yall dont know what your talking about. I been going to this franchise for a long time and the food is great. Of course people come here for the chicken but after that my favorite is the tostada!! It reminds me of the food back home in Mexico. Next in line for my favorite is the hamburgesa, which i had on my last visit here. Next i like the torta or the papa hasada. But the real reason i go inside the store is for the chips and salsa bar! I fill up on this before my food even comes out. They have different salsas and of course i have my favorites. Salsa ranking goes from top to bottom, avocado, the green one (forgot the name but its the most popular) , tomatillo, cascabel, molcajete. I love getting limes and adding it to my chips and then adding the pickled cabbage. In terms of drinks i love the orchata or the jamaica. Soda wise i go with manzanita or coca. They do have bottle soda imported from the motherland made with real sugar but they dont taste the same like they do back home. In terms of the store, not gonna lie to yall, is not the cleanest. I saw like 2 flies buzzing around the lobby and they would not leave me alone! It took them a while to get my hamburgesa out to me even thou there were nobody else in the lobby. I understand they gotta make it fresh and all but i ate 2 plates of chips and salsa..ooh. On Sundays it does tend to get busier but nothing out of the normal there. I would still go back to this location because i loved the food and customer service was just ok. Not horrible not outstanding but just ok enough to go back. Just meh. read more

Prices are going up at all restaurants so I went to Pollo Regio for lunch. I ordered more than I could eat. One order of pastor de tacos and large rice and beans with small drink. This was enough to share. I took home dinner after loading up with fresh chips. read more

I'm sorry I don't have a photo for this review.. But sometime within the last year or two, I was asked to leave a review in exchange for a free meal. I left an honest review, despite the free meal...given that I have never really had any much trouble with this particular location since then. But just a few minutes ago, I was denied a cup of water from one of the employees. I've gotten plenty of cups of water in my occasional visits. This new fellow broke the news that he said is from a manager. So, I retract the previous review, despite it being more or less honest. And I instead wouldn't recommend this particular location to people, because if this sort of thing can happen to somebody like me--native to the city and doesn't disturb the restaurant--then, it can happen to others who don't intend to pester. Being the kind of hearty person I am, I'll extend the benefit of the doubt to the restaurant to say that perhaps other people pester them for cups of ice and or water on the daily basis. But I doubt it, given that I saw a person who looked like they could be off the grid like me getting water from the side of the building in a bucket. So, the instinctive part of my personality thinks that it's because I've been doing therapy and proclaiming for myself that I won't throw tantrums in restaurants like some of the people I've had to deal with at my jobs but instead show grace. I'm the furthest thing from a Karen. Actually, growing up I found those kind of people annoying. And, of course, God definitely knows if I've broken down and had the audacity to sneak a little lemonade here or there. So they send there African American decent customers to the parking lot in front of the store to wait while the Mexican get there food fast and wait in the drive through. I promise they won't get another penny from me! If your a African American decent don't go here!!! They act like they will serve you with good customer service but they don't! Went to this location for a quick lunch and the chicken was dry. I would not even consider coming back if it weren't for the excellent customer service provided to me by a cashier named Kay. Maybe I'll try something different next time, however keep in mind that even though the cashiers were great, the management seemed quite off. Anyways, great service! read more

This place is amazing! I can't believe it's not one of the top chicken places in Texas because it is PHENOMENAL. If it wasn't for my brother having eaten here before with his friends, I would never have known about it. It's in the ghetto and for anyone looking for a place to eat I would be surprised if they were like, 'hey let's check this place out'. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against hole in the wall places, but I've never been to any of their locations. My brother has just brought me food from them and let me tell you, YOU NEED TO GET YOURSELF SOME! We always get the whole chicken. It comes with tortillas, limes, hot sauce, and a whole grilled onion. What more could you want? Absolutely nothing cause I don't know what else they offer haha and I am not in the least bit curious because of how good my normal order is. I read the reviews and since I was in the neighborhood, I thought I'd try it. I ordered the half chicken. Personally, I found it bland. It was overcooked and the meat dry. I ate around 11:30 am. When was it cooked, the night before? The chicken came with a cooked medium size whole onion. There was no taste to it. The rice had a reddish tint, but I could not see any visible seasoning. The bean broth tasted like dishwater. Some may find it a good value, but I would have enjoyed lunch more if I went to a local fast food burger joint. I won't be back. read more
