White Rice beans Kernel Corn chicken
    Richard L.

I know companies are trying what they can to save money but god damn this is beyond greed, first of all they got my order wrong I told them I wanted onions and they threw the whole corn field on my plate, and I asked for chicken, I'm thinking they're gonna give me a decent portion of chicken, I look at my plate mf it's nothing but disappointment, it's like they gave me a malnourished chicken from the farms and slapped this bs on my plate, this is a known fast food cooperation, not a soup kitchen rationing out food with a drive a through window, and fam I don't even write reviews on yelp but god damn bruh, they need to tell these people to add a lil more chicken, cause wth am I gonna do with all this rice, make snowballs with the shi, but other than the employee were chill and ain't gonna lie the female drive through bout fine asl, she need to get right with me and stop playin

    Sauce

The workers are lazy. They either run out of chicken or lettuce but they're ALWAYS out of something. This is the worst pollo ever, I rather drive further just to avoid a disappointment. Where is the management? It's ridiculous. The brown rice is always hard. They must dislike filling the sauce container because you have to literally ask for sauce three times to be satisfied. Please hire people would actually want to work. They obviously do not care about customer satisfaction.

1/4 of "Pigeon" (according to then chicken) meat

I went ahead and order online yesterday. I ordered a 1/4 chicken and a chicken breast. It looks like I was served pigeon instead of chicken. $5.99 for a tiny piece of chicken which was mostly bones. This would have never happened if ordered to eat inside but they know most people don't check before they go. The chicken breast was also a very small portion for the price. It really looked like pigeon breast instead of chicken. Charging more for less. I got so irritated. I am still so irritated. I will never order or buy from this company again. In my opinion, and according to the food I was served yesterday the pictures you see on their website to order can be called a scam. They should change their name to "Paloma Tropical" Lo peor de lo peor. Las porciones son una estafa.

    Hair in rice

Disgusting Don't eat there they sold me Rice with a hair that looks like pubic Hair. If I can give them no stars I would.

    Fried yucca

Although I agree with some of the other reviews regarding the cleanliness of the establishment, the service is poor. The drive through line was ridiculous so I went in to grab my food. I was the only person in there in line at the time. There were at least 8-10 workers in the serving area preparing food and possibly more. I waited 14 minutes for a chicken quesadilla with my side choice being fried yucca - again, literally the only person inside in line. There was nothing fast about the fast food, and the only concern was for those in the drive through. Other people came in after me and got their food before me. The lady was calling my number in Spanish and got frustrated with me when I checked to see if it was mine. I was pretty sure it was, but my Spanish is mediocre and when people speak it very fast my chances of comprehension go out the door. When I finally got my food, I could no longer stay to eat it. I had an appointment and had hoped to sit down and quickly eat my food opposed to in the car, but with the amount of time it took to prepare that was not an option. My quesadilla fell apart the second I picked it up as half was stuck to the aluminum wrapping. The yucca was good, but I was not given the garlic sauce it normally comes with. The shape of it is also these small nuggets not opposed to the yucca sticks which fry more crispy. These were more mushy and soft. Not impressed.

This specific pollo tropical is the best one I've ever gone to. The food couldn't have tasted any better.

Fortunately, a coworker pointed me toward Latin American Grill in Miami Lakes, just a few minutes from our hotel. It turned out to be exactly the sendoff I was hoping for. We started with the Sopa de Pollo, a bowl that made it immediately clear this kitchen isn't interested in shortcuts. Large chunks of chicken, tender vegetables, and noodles floated in a broth with remarkable depth. It wasn't simply chicken soup, it was the kind of soup that makes you wonder why every other version tastes so timid. A squeeze of fresh lime added just enough brightness to wake up every spoonful without distracting from the richness of the broth. Then came the reason for the visit. The Medianoche. I've always preferred the sweeter cousin of the traditional Cuban sandwich, and Latin American Grill makes a terrific one. Thick slices of ham and juicy mojo pork were layered with Swiss cheese, mustard, and pickles before being pressed between soft, sweet bread until the outside turned beautifully crisp. Every ingredient had a purpose. The pork brought richness, the ham added salt, the mustard and pickles cut through the fat with welcome acidity, and the sweet bread tied everything together. It's one of those sandwiches that reminds you how satisfying simplicity can be when every component is done well. Sometimes the best restaurant recommendations don't come from guidebooks or social media. They come from someone who simply says, "You should eat here." In this case, they were absolutely right. A great Cuban sandwich doesn't need reinvention. It just needs great ingredients, careful execution, and a hot press. Latin American Grill delivers all three.

However, from both experiences, this is a solid spot when you're craving Cuban comfort food. My most recent order was lunch for myself today. I have a Fitness challenge coming up at OTF I need to bulk up more than my usual salad and chopchops. I ordered their pollo à la plancha (grilled chicken), moros rice and tostones. My order was a pretty good size came delivered at a good temperature. I will say the order was mostly rice, but the grilled chicken breast was bad enough and had a nicely tangy citrus marinade plus lots of little onions. This is a spot you can't go wrong with for the classics!

( The pure de Malanga comes in a large container (see pics) It's nice and creamy and warm soothing for the belly! There is enough to share or save for a later meal. ( But...I've also been guilt to eat all in serving!) some saltine crackers go great with it. This last time he added some white rice, grilled chicken and 2 huge tostones. ( shareable portion) As well I finished the grilled chicken and 1 tostone between lunch and dinner) opted to leave the rice and 1 tostone by out this time. On other occasions I have eaten the white rice and let me tell you it's moist... even my daughter ( whom is a picky teenager...that loves Cuban food) said " that's some good rice!" The grilled chicken is savory seasoned but not overly. It's like nice juicy flavor but not too over powering. The meal is was perfect to share or split in between two meals or even just indulge it all in one searing! You will be satisfied for hours and for good reason too! .

It was on a Friday night and they had live music playing with was nice for the occasion. With our pre-selected menu, we ordered a glass of Cabernet, their house salad (very vinegary!!! A tad bit too much in my personal opinion), and for entree the 8 oz baby tenderloin churrasco. (Shout out to one of our waiters! I didn't catch her name but she was honest with the menu recommendations and advised us to order the baby tenderloin churrasco which was a hit!). The mariquitas kept on coming around the table and we were stuffed. Another perk was how fast the service was. Even with our large group, we barely waited in between courses. Though they have a preset menu for corporate type events, our boss was generous enough to let us select off the open menu. The decor is made to look like the inside of a hacienda with the tile roofs and stucco columns (yes you tell I'm a structural engineer :) The music was mostly 80s ballads, and service was very attentive. They even brought one of the desserts with a candle for a colleague's birthday, and took our group's photo. We started with a couple of baskets of buttered herbed Cuban bread and dipping chimichurri, as well as an appetizer sampler including refried beans, fried cheese and tequenos. The fried cheese was served on a little piece of pita bread and is a must try. I also enjoyed the refried bean soup, especially when dipped with plantain chips. As far as my main course, everyone knows how much I love cows! I enjoyed a sizable piece of churrasco, juicy even at medium well, sweet plantains and moros (here they serve it with red beans instead of black beans) and crispy house-made plantain chips. The Tres leches was also very fluffy, with a lot of cream and perfect enough to send me to a nice little after lunch nap. I also washed it down with Cortadito.
