If anyone has kept up with my reviews, you have to earn to get five stars. This place for what it is certainly earned it. Let me start with the food is delicious. The owner greets you at the door and goes over the menu with you in detail. This place is not fancy but for what it is it works perfect. It is also notable that they are on the honor system, you order your food, you get your drink, you get chips if you want and you pay nothing at that point. When you are done before you exit you tell the person at the register what you had to eat in you're charged at that point. Get footlongs, the half sizes aren't enough! The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming and make everyone feel special. They go out of their way to help first timers order and make sure their regulars are having just as good of a time. The Italian sandwich was great, added hot peppers for a nice tangy kick to it. Outstanding! I had the pleasure of stopping by for the first time on my recent Miami trip. They were busy when I went to get lunch but service was great. I was greeted immediately by Franky. He was very kind and attentive. He was taking lunch orders from everyone that walked in or called (the incoming phone orders were pretty steady also). He enthusiastically explained the menu and the top 4 most popular sandwiches. They have a lot of options! I opted for a simple ham turkey provolone sub served cold. It was so delicious! I visited this small deli in an area that is like a warehouse district and was really thrilled when I pulled up and saw a sign saying they were voted top 50 in the US by Yelp, which is a great honor. We immediately received personalized service from 2 employees who realized quickly that I was a new customer and not sure how or where to order. A lady first helped me, but then Raul stepped in and finished our order. He explained the top 3 menu items and how each one should be ordered. He also mentioned that the Tuna was voted #1 in Florida. I couldn't choose between their #1 and #2 top orders, so I chose a 6" of each. Boy, what he said was correct. I first tried the tuna and added several of their toppings minus olives and it was fresh tasting and likely one of the best tuna sandwiches I've ever eaten. The Italian was a warm sandwich that's toasted, you can also choose cold, but I was in the mood for a warm one. That was also an awesome sandwich. So I took a ride from West Kendall to see the hype. 1st min I stepped inside I was greeted by Frankie ( Owner& his beautiful wife) I felt like I knew them already. The service was top notch,the ambiance was cozy with lots of great old school memorabilia. There were regulars there having their specials & it had a cheers kinda vibe.Now the subs are on point! It was definitely worth the drive. I had the Philly cheese steak with a Cuban twist. It was smacking good. The tuna the best I ever tasted,it made my hair stand up. I went to Franky's for the first time two weeks ago. Then I went again and again and again. The corn beef and pastrami sandwich is fantastic, the Philly cheesesteak sandwich is fantastic, the Italian is fantastic, and the tuna sandwich is delicious. The prices are fair and not inflated like the majority of Miami. Great chip selection to choose from. Great condiment selection to choose for the sandwiches.
