But with Amber's help, it definitely helped alleviate many of my headaches. In the beginning, we wanted to look at fixer-uppers in our desired neighborhood within our budget. But after Amber spent a few weekends and showed us a few homes, we felt that it was more work than we could undertake. Amber suggested a few neighborhoods that were outside of our desired neighborhood but with many qualities that met the rest of our checklist. As a result, we put in an offer on a short sale home. Amber kept us in the loop every other day on the progress (with many late-night email exchanges!!) and was very responsive to all the parties involved. Unfortunately, the short sale still did not go through, despite the 3+ months' work that was put into it. Within a few weeks, Amber found a similar house with the same qualities and charm of the first home and was able to negotiate a deal quickly for us, in spite of other offers available to the seller. I had chosen my personal loan agent and Amber worked diligently with her to complete our purchase.
