Unfortunately, this place was recommended to me. When I came in this morning I had to wait 25 minutes while they argued with two other customers. When I asked to have my dress pressed and starched they told me it could NOT be done. I had ruined the dressed by washing it and might as well throw it away. I was frustrated and left to another local dry cleaners who told me it was simple to clean, press, and starch the dress. So disappointing when I asked for so little. On October 16, 2025, my elderly mom dropped off a bed mattress cover to be washed at Polo Cleaners. The woman who took the item charged her $40.00. When my mom went to pick up her cover on Monday Oct. 18, a different female clerk returned the item. It was dry cleaned, not washed. And it was a different mattress cover. It was smaller, now with blue trim, had a different label on it identifying it from a store in a city she never shops at, and was cheaply made compared to the one she had dropped off. My mom said it wasn't hers. Then the manager or owner, Chris Patel, came out and went on and on about what happens when you clean something, insisting it was hers. My mom took it and went home and told me what happened, feeling like he was just taking advantage of an old woman. I reached Patel by phone and gave him my understanding of the facts. He expounded on details of what happens when you put an item in for cleaning. I told him that was all irrelevant because it was not hers. He said he'd look to the surveillance camera footage to identify how it looked when she brought the item in and call me. Later the next week, AFTER my mom called him and said we were still waiting, he called and told me the video footage shows that it was the same item. My mom returned to Polo Cleaners a 3rd time and the original clerk was there. She remembered my mom and told her that another customer had called and said she had received the wrong cover. My mom said "Thank goodness!" This would have explained the whole misunderstanding. But then Patel came out and said, "No, no, that's not what happened." My mom said, "But this isn't mine." The female Clerk interjected, "Hers is white." They went in circles, and the clerk walked away, not wanting to get further involved. He showed my mom the video. My mom saw no blue trim. My mom gave up and took it. I called Patel again and tried to reason with him. He said he knew nothing about another client receiving the wrong mattress cover as the other clerk had reported, etc. I tried to get a reasonable resolution out of him, but he wouldn't budge. I told him if we can't get this resolved, I was going to file a report with the Better Business Bureau. He said, "If you don't believe me, what can I do? Do what you have to do." I filed the report. I STRONGLY recommend that you do not go to this dishonest business. read more

Whenever you come here, you, need to check you clothes on the spot thoroughly. Otherwise it will happen like both my jackets. Clearly they did a VERY bad job at them. Left an iron mark on it as well as ruining my buttons'beads (how rough can you be?!) Also, I noticed after a few times using their services that they will charge you whatever they want. Once I cleaned a cardigan and the first time, they charged me as jacket. The second time, they charged me as coat. When I complained about it, the owner made a lame excuses about it having metal and stuffs (it's plain jacket) Moreover, they always pay attention as to what brand your clothing is. I have been going there for 30+ yrs formally owned by a Korean couple who I never had problems with. The new owner named Chris is very nice and helpful. Wish he was there today. I normally store dry cleaned items as soon as I get home without inspecting leaving it hanging with plastic until I need to use them. I brought back a black pair of pants with stains so ask to be redone. They agreed ...but today I went to have them redo another one which I picked up 2-3 weeks ago to be redone ( 1 top). Asked if the person inspects it while ironing/ bagging... no response. Some guy not Chris told me that people sometimes bring them back after it was worn.... I told him , you can see it's not used still in the hanger folded smelling clean wrapped in plastic except for the stain. When I felt he was accusing me of wanting to get freebee's ... That was it! I am not the type of person to cheat for a mere $$5-10 service. So I left ... My advice is to inspect every item before you leave that place. read more

If I could give zero star. I would. On 08/09/24 I bought in a brand new dress that I just purchased for my son's wedding into Polo Cleaner for service. It cost me $14.60. After the wedding, it was around 09/20 I bought in the same dress for cleaning after the wedding, the employee (who was around 60's with glasses) handed me a pick up slip for $30.50. I told her I vaguely remember it was around $15 last month I bought it in. She said this was a long dress, but I may bring a receipt to prove next time when I pick up. I found the receipt so I bought it in with me to show it to her, she said it was wrong whoever charged it before. I told her that it was the same dress, it couldn't be doubling the price in less than a month. Since she declined my reason, I asked to speak to the manager, she told me to come back in 1.5 hours because he was in Chino Hill. I saw another lady working in the shop, I told her my complaint. She happened to be the manager's wife, she agreed to call her husband and related the complaint to him. After the conversation, he agreed that I paid the original price $14.60. I was glad that he approved it because I nearly spent 1/2 hour there. Plus I was in a hurry to attend a doctor appointment. I took the receipt without reading it. When I reviewed the credit card monthly statement, I found the employee charged me $30.50. I couldn't believe it! This Polo Cleaners is a dishonest establishment, don't go there. read more

I have been using Polo Cleaners for nearly 20 years and have always been satisfied with the quick turnout time and convenient hours. I actually appreciate the to the point drop off and pick up. I don't need overly nice customer service or to be asked about my day or weekend. I'm greeted, he punches in my number, gives me my pick up slip and says "see you on (***day)". Simple and to the point. Don't understand the bad reviews? Alterations aren't their strength...but basic hems, or small repairs...its convenient and well priced. Extremely poor customer service. As soon as you started pointing things out their attitude start to turn nasty. Buttons often go missing from my shirt more so than others. There were unexplainable stain on my shirt, as soon as i complaint, the gentleman said "we clean not make dirty and the stain mist have been there before." Well if stains were so visible why dont they point out when accepting it. One time the stain got on a brand new shirt. I complaint and got the same dumb answer. Dont go to this place if you expect to things done right. One time my receipt said 18 shirt but when pick up only has 17. All they said is that is mist have been miscounted. My savior in Hacienda Heights when it comes to same day dry cleaning!! Bring in your stuff before 11am and get it that same day by 5pm....purrty neat I think. The owners are very nice although I've never seen the dude smile....ever....even when I bring my baby in! The man is all business, and that's fine by me =) The lady always there I assume is his wife is the sweetest little old asian lady....my daughter likes her too because she smiles and waves at her. My ONLY gripe is that I SWEAR the price to get my lab coat drycleaned seems to go up like every other month.....it's currently at $7.50 to get it the same day...all else is reasonable....$1.75 for your standard dress shirts, etc.... Customer service is sorely lacking. When I used a credit card to pay for my dry cleaning the first time, I got a dirty look and a big sigh. That should have warned me. I went back a few more times and was treated with coldness. When they did damage to the buttons on our shirts and pants, I asked them to fix it. They acknowledged this happens, but if they fix it for me, they'll charge me for it. I think that's a bit self serving since it gives them no incentive to take care of your clothing since they can create business for themselves by damaging them. Sarcasm aside, be warned this place lacks any business ethics. It only makes sense if a business damages a customer's things, they owe it to the customer to fix it at NO CHARGE. I got a pair of pants hemmed here and they did an okay job. It's a couple bucks cheaper here than the one in the CVS plaza ($8 vs. $10). My biggest complaint would be no A/C! I came on a blistering hot day and while he was measuring my pants for hemming, I was sweating buckets and extremely uncomfortable. How they work here, I have no clue. It's worse than a sauna. I dreaded coming to pick up my pants and for good reason too because it was just as hot, if not hotter than when I dropped it off :( This is not a bad thing if it's not hot I guess, but man I was so uncomfortable! As for service, a gentleman helped me and he was nice. I only saw the lady that people complained about and I got a negative vibe from her, but didn't deal with her personally so I can't say for sure she is not cool. I took a pair of suit pants to get it altered for my friends wedding. Told the owner lady to lengthen it by 3/4". Long story short, the lady shortened it by 3/4"!! She said it happens and she will "fix it" Now how do you "fix it" if there is no more fabric to lengthen. when i went to pick it up couple of days after, she obviously stitched another similar black fabric to lengthen it. Even after this mickey mouse job, it was still short from original. When i told her it was still short, she smirked and said thats the best she could do. I wanted to slap that lady! And her husband comes up and asked how much did i pay for the original alteration. i told him $18 and he offered $5 refund. when he said that, i wanted to slap him upside the head. I said u keep your $5 for your next bowl of rice. In all, i ended up buying a new suit. Brought 14 pieces of items when I arrived they told me that there was a extra item that was in my pile of cloths that was not counted for therefore, they charged me a extra for the extra item which which made perfect sense to me however when I arrived home realized the extra item was not mine (wear medium and large extra item was XXL) The following day I took the shirt that was not mine to the store. The location of this establishment is convenient for me since it's on the way home. I agree with the other reviewers, the owners are very friendly. However I brought into blazers for sry cleaning and I thought it was a little pricey. I got a quote on two winter coats and charge me $50 for both. I just thought it was a little high considering that there was something special about them. I think I will come here and if I am in dire need of having something clean immediately since their turnaround is really quick however I think that I would find another dry cleaning place that has reasonable prices. read more

Took pants in for simple alteration. My early impression - an old, not very friendly owner. He took cash up front for the the work and gave me a ticket. I come back a few days later and he asks for money again - telling me that I need a stamp on my ticket showing the work as being paid. I don't know the rules here so I said I paid, but he said I didn't pay because he didn't stamp the ticket. Incidentally it is his responsibility to stamp the tickect when I pay, not mine (but I won't use cash again at these joints). He finally gave me a snarl acting like he was giving debt forgiveness, but what a hassle, and I bet he pulls this trick on any new unsupecting customers so he can collect twice for the same work. Oh and the alteration - too long and he wanted to charge an extra $5 to do a work over again. Forget it - go somewhere else. I don't need a place that tries to cheat you and bad work.
