I had a root canal done with Dr. Tran and I would highly recommend him and his team. From intake, general history, diagnostic, consultation exam, procedure, post procedure care were exceptional. He and his team are very thorough and meticulous with the care they provide. I was very nervous about the root canal and the staff reassured me they'll take great care of me. Here is the breakdown of the care I received and why I would recommend Dr. Tran and his team. The intake form was easy and I was able to complete it online prior to the office visit. The questionnaire was very detailed from type of problem, description, current medications, and occupation. They do read through every item because they referred to the information I listed on the intake form here and there. Dr. Tran casually mentioned occupation during the visit and that information was only listed on the intake form. Assessment/Exam. As a healthcare worker, I have a bias towards an excellent assessment and a good enough assessment. Dr. Tran does a very thorough assessment of the tooth in question. I was impressed with his whole mouth imaging scanner along with pre/post procedure xray check. He did not take any shortcuts with his physical assessment from testing structure of tooth to temperature sensitivity. After gathering all the necessary information with images, he went through the treatment plan with me along with options. The risk and benefits were clearly explained including possible post procedure complications. I opted for local anesthesia as oppose to conscious sedation and was very nervous about it. The staff addressed my anxiety by thoroughly explaining what they were going to do, what to expect, and said i can listen to music/watch a movie during the procedure. Procedure: Dr. Tran numbed me up, waited a few minutes, tested for numbness prior to starting the procedure. With that, I felt I was in good hands. The staff taught me hand gestures to signal for small things like suction or big things like pain. Half way through the procedure, I felt uncomfortable, told Dr. Tran and he had no problem giving me more anesthetics. They have a mouth covering which is really neat because you don't taste or feel the fragments of the drilling. So to give me more anesthetics, they have to take down their protective covering set up, give the shot, and set up the covering again to continue with the procedure. Dr. Tran did find some shotty work done by another dentist who had worked on the same tooth. He did not speak ill of the other dentist and was open minded to why certain decisions were made at that time. This is true professionalism and respect for the profession. Overall, I truly felt that I was in good hands and was safe during this procedure. I'd recommend him and his team. read more

I was referred by my dentist when I was going to do a new crown, and because I have a huge filling on it, I am fully aware that I have to go through this. My 9 yr old daughter was in severe pain on 2/13 and was in need of root canal. Of course this happened right before our vacation that was out of country! We saw Dr. Tran who was completely booked but saw the severity of my daughters pain and decided to stay after hours to take care of her. I was referred to Dr. Tran for a root canal. I called the office and asked for a quote for the root canals that needed to be done after my insurance coverage.
