    Cider flight

I went to Pomona Cider for trivia recently, and had a great experience. I ordered a flight of cider, and was delighted to discover that you could build your own flight. There was quite a range of flavors to choose from. I tried the Thai chili, lavender, pear and sour cherry pours, with the lavender being my favorite. You order through a QR code and the cider gets delivered to your table. Plus, Pomona has food--with especially great sweet potato fries, so order those. Trivia was great at Pomona. You could hear the triviamaster quite well despite every table being packed with teams. However, parking is quite difficult so give yourself some extra time to find a spot before you head in.

I am not normally a cider person, but I am super happy we stopped into Pomona Cider. It is street parking only, and I was shocked that we were the only patrons inside. I hope they get some more business so that they don't shut down! The staff was helpful in selecting ciders that fit our flavor preferences to build a flight - I can never pass up a flight when that is an option. The most popular one they said is the True North which was a perfect classic cider - not too dry, not too sweet. We also got the ginger, and that one packs a punch! Think candied ginger - good for a small amount, but it would be a lot for a full pour. One of my favorites was the Lavender - another flavor I can't pass up if I see it on the menu. The lavender was present but not overbearing, very nice balance. Finally, we got the Brut Reserve which I could take or leave. I also got the soft pretzel flight - don't be confused by my picture, apparently they normally come on skewers but they had run out. They had 2 savory ones and one sweet, and they hit the spot.

Brunch is a good time to try restaurants off the beaten path. Best case scenario you find a real gem, worst case you avoid the crowds, have an adventure, and try something new. I had walked by Pomona a couple times and been intrigued by the brunch menu. So I paid a visit. The atmosphere when I walked in was chill. There was a selection of puzzles and games available by the door. I do not drink alcohol anymore but the cider menu looked genuinely interesting--representing everything on the sweet to dry scale and even a brettanomyces cider and a couple cider-based aperitifs. I had a mocha mint mushroom coffee, which was sweet and refreshing. I almost got the curry hash, which looked interesting, but settled on a breakfast burrito. It was compact enough to eat as a handheld and plenty filling, with potatoes and adobo chicken thighs and eggs and cheese. Someone next to me got Belgian waffles and eggs which also looked tasty. Service was friendly. They said they change their menu up from time to time. Nice low-key option.

We stopped in earlier today and liked it! The space is nice and comfortable, reminds me of a local coffee shop. I tried the pear cider and it was good! The flavor was faint but I'm guessing that's because it's real and not artificial flavoring which is good. I thought the variety of pickles would be different flavors of pickled cucumbers, but it was different pickled items. I wasn't a huge fan of this. We also got the pretzel tray which the flavor was great but over priced in my opinion. The focaccia had good flavor, but didn't taste particularly fresh and didn't include enough butter. All in all, I would still recommend and try again in the future! I think the food is where they can make the biggest upgrades moving forward. BUT it is a cider company first and foremost so certainly understand why food wasn't the priority.

I stopped by Pomona cider about an hour before closing, and it was the perfect way to unwind alone. The atmosphere was super chill, with a laid-back vibe and great music that made it feel hipster. Also the lighting in the place was so warm and it really enhanced the ambiance of the place. I went with the Savvy Palate flight which featured: - cidre de poire- Light, crisp, and subtly sweet with a smooth pear finish. - Lavender - Easily my favorite. It was a delicate floral cider that was aromatic and refreshing without being overpowering. - Wild Thing- It had a nice tartness with funky, natural fermentation notes. Probably my least favorite of the four but that is due to my personal taste. - Hopped- A unique cider with a dry, citrusy profile that almost reminded me of a light IPA. (This was also a favorite!) Each pour was well-balanced, and the variety made for an interesting tasting experience. If you're into craft cider, this place is a definite visit whether you're vibing alone or with a group of friends. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu!

This is a very nice little place just off Farwell Ave in Downtown MKE. It has great vibes and judging by decor is very new. I tried the first timer flight and it was quiet good. I've never been to a predominantly hard cider brew house, but I was delightfully impressed. Would go back

Visited for the soft opening, will update again once they are open for awhile. My partner and I tried the pear and lavender ciders which were both great! The space is lovely, although not a ton of space. There were bar seats, and similar near the kitchen and in front of the tank area. Table seating is an option if available. They did offer a small food menu option for tonight, but we didn't try anything because we felt somewhat rushed once we got a table. From what we understood based on what someone who worked there said, maybe the owner? The tables were shared so we were somewhat micromanaged on the table we were at. Asked to move because a bigger party was needing a table. Kinda weird. But maybe this was just because it was busy for the soft opening.

We came upon this spot on a Thursday afternoon and were the only people in the taproom until about 5. The space is very pretty and open with big windows in the front that let in a nice amount of light. We ordered the semi sweet/dry flight and had a pleasant tasting of ciders. I'm usually not a fan of Cherry because it's almost always too tart of sweet but this cider was perfectly balanced. The lavender apple was probably my favorite, it's a lavender lovers dream! The bartender clarified that island orchard makes the Pomona ciders which is why so many ciders on the menu are island orchard ciders. We also tried to semi dry flight and the hoppy cider is very similar flavor to hop water which I loved!

I went to support a Drag show here and had a good time. They had a good menu which includes Mocktails which I like. A cute patio and even merch. Service was good and you could order through a QR code. A bright and inviting space.

First off, super friendly and welcoming staff. That's always a good sign. Their cider selection is interesting and right up my ally since most of them are dry ciders. It seems like most of their ciders come from a sister cider(?) from Door County. Anyway, they are super good! I tried a flight and then came back a few days later for single pours. I brought work with me so the atmosphere was fantastic for writing and such. Very zen type of environment. Certainly going back! It's close to so many breweries and restaurants as well. A plus!

10/10 i came on a tuesday which happened to be puzzle night which i thoroughly enjoyed. I am visiting from socal and we have nothing like this near me it made me want to move here for good. Also a huge cider drinker and it's so hard to find good cider. The playlist was amazing and the people were right up my alley. I would come back every puzzle night if i could.

Fun and chill cider bar serving great and varied ciders, most of which are on the drier side (huzzah!). The atmosphere is relaxed. I've not tried the food yet but there were many options on the menu that sounded good.

What I like about this place is that firstly it hosts many sorts of events. We weren't here late at night but we came here the morning after check out some of the vendors being featured here. The fact that it's dog friendly was even better . I like that you're able to charge by the ounce at this place. There's even food featured here too and a pretty fair price . I tried a few of the hard ciders that were featured here since I've never had that before and I'm basically hooked on their product. Bars like this are just pretty engaging. Great outdoor seating and very clean restrooms! Great place to try an array of new drinks!

It's a fun, casual spot with a spacious layout--there's seating on the main level, upstairs, and outside as well. The self-serve, pour-your-own system is a great feature. After a quick check-in with the cashier, you're free to sample and pour what you like. The taps offer a wide variety of options, including beer and wine, which was a pleasant surprise! There was live music playing during our visit, adding a really nice touch to the laid-back atmosphere. They also offer snacks for purchase (paid at the cashier). One suggestion: it would be nice to see more non-alcoholic options besides just soda--maybe a craft NA beer or mocktail for those not drinking (like myself). Overall, it was a quick but enjoyable stop. We'd return again. I also noticed they offer bingo some nights- that's always fun.
