I have had an horrible experience with this retailer. I found them in Instagram ordered a dress for my wife which turned out to be the wrong size. I emailed for an exchange and was told that they do not do exchanges. After going back and for with emailing someone I was told how to return the item. When I returned the item I thought (which was my mistake) that I could send a prepaid shipping form to get the new replacement item ( the correct size ) faster. I was then told my money for the purchase would be refunded in 7 - 10 business days and that the do not refund shipping. I would NEVER recommend doing business with this retailer...!!!!!! read more

I follow this boutique online and was very excited to make a quick trip into the city to visit. I had been eyeing a few things and wanted to see them in person and maybe try some things on. I am sad to say that although it was a cute shop, they were not very friendly. Not one person greeted me in there and that is something that I think is so important. They have terrible customer service, and do not want to work with their customers who they say they consider "as family." I don't know about you, but my family doesn't treat me like they have. I have followed this retailer since before the new ownership and its the same company and same problems. The store is simply adorable! However ask several questions prior to using a coupon. I visited during Black Friday with a coupon, only to be told that it couldn't be used on new arrivals. The coupon and Eblast did not mention that there were exclusions applied. I found this to be a lack in communication on the boutique's end and quite odd when shopping at a small boutique like this, where their competitors are transparent as to promos, etc. read more

I've been to this place a hand full of times - love the decor, the special items they carry (earrings, handbags, other fun gift items, and the clothing) you can tell the owner picks out unique pieces to carry. The store is bright, colorful and beautiful with large dressing rooms that are great for trying on items and if you are shopping with your stroller and baby the store has space to move around in. It is definitely boutique shopping and the prices are fair. I always find earrings and unique colorful outfits. I would visit more and it would probably be my go to spot, but it is not. The customer service is sad - it is usually 2 girls that hide behind the counter and may or may not greet you when you walk in. The only time they approach you is if you have clothing in your hands and then they will put your name on the door of the dressing room and set you up. The service is not genuine nor are their attitudes. That makes this place and "ok" place, but I already know what I am walking into, so I just go in about my business and get out. It's funny because I always think maybe this time the service will be better - lol instead of wishful thinking, I decided instead to write about it. I try not to shop at places where people act like they are doing you a favor, but this might be one of them. Some basic 101 customer service training would make this place worthy of more stars. You won't be disappointed with the clothing and the cute unique jewelry, but just be ready for basic (if that) customer service. read more

I absolutely love P&C! I was SO happy when they moved out of Rice Village, because the new location is much easier to get to, plenty of parking, and adorable. I am always greeted when I shop in the store and never feel pressured into buying things like other boutiques I have visited. I read other comments about quality of items...but this has never been a problem for me. Literally, every item that I have purchased is still in great shape and still being worn! Since I am a busy mom, I find it sometimes hard to shop in store, so that is where their Comment Sold shopping has become VERY handy! I love that they have different models try on the clothes and post pics and videos to social media. It makes it super easy for me to know exactly what I am getting and how it will look on a body rather than a hanger. I always receive compliments on my P&C purchases and always look forward to shopping with them in store or online! read more

They are very overpriced for the quality of clothes. The manager seems to always be in a bad mood and it was clear that I had won a Facebook contest (Post your favorite emoji and win a giftcard) and after asking who win a couple of times and being ignored I was privately messaged that another person had won. This person had never even posted anything on the actual contest post. The manager was very rude about the whole situation. I deleted them from Facebook and don't shop there anymore. Trust me when I say that their clothes are made of poor quality... Update: In the managers response to my review she responds as if I'm some sort of sore loser... if I didn't win I understand and I explained that. If someone else was the winner then they need to update their Facebook and allow it to actually post things such as winners' names. When I asked her about it, I was not "upset" as she stated. I was asking if they had posted the name. She responded very rudely and didn't apologize like she states. Not a big deal if someone else won. They just need to handle it better and much nicer read more

I had to come back and review this boutique once more. I own a lot of clothing from here and I absolutely love their style and quality. However, I'm noticing more and more how overpriced their items are. I shop regularly at another boutique who has the EXACT same items for usually $15-$20 less than P&C. I really thought the move would be good for the store. The two girls who worked at the smaller location off westhiemer were super helpful, but seemed over worked, and the owner would lecture the girls in front of customers. The old location was a dump, and the move to rice village was a HUGE upgrade. I was hopeful the quality of the clothing would increase, but not so much. The owner seems to have hired more employees, but the quality of service and products have gone down the drain. Most of the girls have a rude attitude and seem miserable. I'm not sure why I continued to stop in and shop at such a place. And don't get me started on the return policy... it's a joke. Most of the brands in the store can be found at other boutiques for way less. The store is a bunch of over priced crappy but cute clothing, with rude employees and even ruder owner. read more

I just wrote a review on google and decided to write one on Yelp as well. so here's what I wrote on google. I've enjoyed my shopping experience with Pomp and Circumstance. The pros of this business are that every time I walk in the store seems to be very organized and items are well place where customers can find them. The employees greet you when you first step through the door which shows the store is very welcoming. I love that they have frequent new arrivals. As there are many pros to this boutique there are also cons. The last time I went to Pomp and Circumstance to shop an employee was sitting on a couch with what appeared to be a friend, while ordering another young employee behind the cash register, I found that to be very unprofessional, especially when multiple customers are in the store. The website is hard to navigate and the prices are extremely high compared to other boutiques with the same items. For instance, I wanted to purchase the paradise earrings which were priced at $42.00, I found the earrings on another website for $18.00. I've noticed that their Instagram only has one model which has made it difficult for me to see the fit of the clothes on different models. I always shop at the boutiques in the Rice Village and each with an Instagram page has at least three to five models. Every time I've gone to the store there are a new set of employees which makes me question the overall management and treatment of the employees. read more
