Separately, we also had the cabinets refinished so I've included phtotos of the before and after for comparison. Martin was a pleasure to work with and he was very supportive of our questions. Once we had identified a few quartzite slabs that we liked, he joined my wife to take a look at them and make sure they matched what we were looking for. He interacted with the manager of the stone store to make sure they removed the slabs from the stack so my wife could clearly see all of the slab face. We ended up picking two slabs. He explained all of our options, the process and his timelines. He provided a quote for the work by the end of the day and it was reasonable. He came out and created the templates and went and picked up the granite slab that he helped us purchase within a couple of days. Ponce Countertops does the best work in the San Diego area (and at a very economical price). I had my kitchen remodeled last year by a contractor (who did a really good job) who sub-contracted the countertop installation. The sub-contractor did an excellent job. One of the countertop installers wore a "Ponce Countertops" shirt. The countertops came out so well I wrote down Ponce's name for any future jobs. Six months later, I began the remodel of my master bathroom, acting as my own general contractor. When it came down to the vanity countertop, I naturally chose Ponce. I first did my due diligence by contacting two other countertop installers. Not only were their reviews not nearly as good as Ponce, but they gave higher bids/quotes. So this was a no-brainer because I would have used Ponce even if their quote was higher. I had Ponce install my countertop early in my bathroom renovation because the back and side walls will be completely tiled from the countertop to the ceiling. We were happy with their initial walk through, quote, and communication throughout the entire project. Martin first came by and took measurements, and he gave us a fair quote. After we purchased the quartz through a local vendor, Martin picked it up, cut it, and then brought it in for install. He was always prompt with his work, and it allowed the other subcontractors to do their jobs. After installation, there were some small follow-ups with calking a few weeks later, and Martin was quick to make all of the necessary fixes.
