Separately, we also had the cabinets refinished so I've included phtotos of the before and after for comparison. Martin was a pleasure to work with and he was very supportive of our questions. Once we had identified a few quartzite slabs that we liked, he joined my wife to take a look at them and make sure they matched what we were looking for. He interacted with the manager of the stone store to make sure they removed the slabs from the stack so my wife could clearly see all of the slab face. We ended up picking two slabs. Communication throughout the process was very professional and he helped us manage a challenge with the size of the sink and made sure that what we purchased would work for our situation. We had one question post-install and he quickly came back to address the issue without a problem. I am stunned by how good the countertops turned out and how smooth the whole process was (even factoring in having the kitchen a mess for a while during the painting process). He contacted me shortly and after giving him a detailed description and sending pictures he gave me an estimate. He did the job several days later and my countertops now look brand new! Hugo arrived on time (he was actually running late due to traffic and texted to let me know) and although I had already researched and decided on a matte finish, he insisted on making two section - examples of matte and high gloss. Thanks to Hugo I immediately picked the high gloss which was the better choice for my small kitchen. All was clean and shiny when he was finished. Ventura was the only certified local installer, so we went with them. They did a good job, corrected a big mistake right away (part of the stone was installed in the wrong direction) and all looked fine...until weeks later when we went to use the sink (we had other work done in the meantime). The cutting board that came with the sink doesn't fit into the groove in the sink it was made for... the stone overlaps slightly too much making the opening a bit too small. Also, the hole for the soap dispenser is too far away from the sink, making a bit of a mess each time we use it. Overall, it looks great, but the functionality is slightly compromised. Response from the owner was generally prompt and accommodating.

They were meticulous in their attention to detail, efficient, and cleaned up completely at the end of each day. Measurements and pattern making usually takes a few hours, fabrication of the stone takes about 2 weeks, and only one day was required for installation. I recommend Amazonia Kitchen and Bath highly!
