There are plenty of double washers here, a long wall of dryers, too. Only a four triple load washers, and two mega load washers (the megas are huge!!). The prices here are significantly lower than that of the midtown wash laundromat. $2 for a double load (18 lb.), $3.50 for a triple load (25 lb.), and $5 for a megaload. All washers do a rinse and then a final rinse! I love extra rinse cycles!!!! I need them to relieve my anxiety about detergent left in my clothes--something that really grosses me out (we all have our issues haha). The extra large dryers are $0.25 per 8 minutes. It took 46 minutes/$1.50 to dry two comforters, a bed sheet set, and a throw on high...I'll take it! This place isn't new and sparkly, but it's not dirty. The machines and folding tables are clean. A gentleman actually mopped the floor in front of the washer I was using when he saw I was loading it, maybe because my toddler was coming towards a detergent puddle :). There are a lot more people coming through on top of their wash-n-fold/dry cleaning services so the floors do have lint, leaves, and detergent-- I cringe if I drop anything, but I kind of do that anywhere I go. There is a tv with sound in front of a table with chairs, a fridge with soda and water, detergents, bleach, softener, and dry cleaning+alterations/repairs+wash and fold services available, too. Parking is out front and more in back. The staff is seemed super busy and just okay my first trip, but when I brought my 13-month-old in they were all so nice and even gave him crackers and treats (with my permission of course). This is definitely my new spot, for financial reasons. I got away with doing a week and a halfs worth of laundry for three people plus sheets and pillow shams for just under $10. If you can afford paying double for a more luxurious washing experience, I recommend Midtown Wash. Overall, I have to up this place to five stars...leaves on the floor don't credit a full star deduction based on the pros at this place. read more

I must say, this place has always been such a delight to patronize. I use this facility personally as well as a reputable place to receive quick and easy service for dry cleaning. I recently took a floor mat there. Even though it takes a month to get it back(because it is shipped off), it was almost brand new when I picked it up. If you need top notch dry cleaning service at a decent price, then this is the place. FYI...they no longer offer coin laundry at this facility. It is very small in there and there is only one table at the front with three chairs and it is kind of weird to sit there if there is another person already sitting at the table. But I go when it is not busy, so it is not usually a problem for me. I try to do work there but the TV is right there and it is always on the judge shows in the middle of the day, some of which are very interesting and I can't help but watch instead of grading. The washers are a full dollar less than the bigger laundromat on HIghland. Plus there are not hipster bros trying to look at your underwear. Yes there is a King of Pops right there but here there is a Krispy Kreme next door, so whatever. Oh there is also a table in the back with plastic chairs that sometimes you can sit at if the employees are not sitting there. I think it really is an employee area but they don't seem too mad if you are just sitting there reading a book for a minute. Usually the carts end up towards the back where the employees are doing washes for people. There are not enough carts when it is busy, and all of the carts have a lot of hair and string and lint trapped in their wheelsockets and it is pretty revolting, like the carts have hairy knuckles, but they work ok. The change machine is old and only recognizes old bills. The Korean couple who run the place are my favorite, and they will let you know if you try to repeatedly stick a newer bill into it like a moron as I have. The woman will come over and say "No Big Faces" and exchange your new bill for an old one. She has a little box behind the register of all old bills, I like to imagine she saves them from places or maybe even asks the bank for them, if that is possible. The old Korean man will kind of wander around and sometimes talk on the phone. I really love him. If a bum wanders in and starts asking people for change he will go over and start yelling at him in Korean until he goes away. The woman is not shy about talking to you to say hello, even though she has a strange speech impediment, like she sounds like she is deaf, but she is not (I have seen her talking on the phone) so don't shout at her. They are both really nice about helping you figure out how to do your laundry if you have never been inside of a laundromat before, as I have sometimes seen weird students or travelers who come in with armfuls of clothes or blankets, like they didn't even know to put it in a bag. Next door is a small gym called "Dean Says Work Out!" and it sort of seems sad and empty, and if you are sitting in the front sometimes a personal trainer will be making a younger guy do those crazy-looking walking lunges up and down the sidewalk that make him look like a psycho velocitraptor and he seems really embarrassed as he should be. They have a case full of pepsi products that are for sale, although I've never seen anyone buy one. Although today I did see the old man wheeling in several cases of soda in a laundry cart and refilling the case, so someone must buy them. The only thing I don't like about this place is that they are closed on Sundays, and if I forget that it is Sunday and I have already taken the sheets off of my bed and driven there I am forced to go to the one on Highland where there is still nowhere to sit because all of the hipster bros have brought their laptops and are pretending to be busy. read more

I'm traveling from out of town and needed to do laundry ASAP. When I looked this place up, it was super close to my hotel. When I arrived they told me the laundry mat was unavailable. Either I had to walk to another one in the dark or pay to get laundry done. The people were not helpful and should state that laundry isn't available on website or Yelp. read more

This establishment is not a respectful Midtown neighbor. Each night a homeless man sleeps in their doorway and the man often leaves behind trash and food bags. Instead of throwing away the trash when the man leaves each morning, the owner of the dry cleaners takes the trash, walks around the corner and hangs the trash and food bags on the front gate of my condo building. I understand that trash is part of living in a big city, but we all must do our part to keep our homes and businesses clean by cleaning up any trash left on our properties. It is absolutely disrespectful and rude to make your trash someone else's problem. I understand he does not want trash on his doorstep, but that does that mean it is fair to hang it in my front yard. I have gone over 3 times and politely asked the owner to stop doing this (we can see him do this from our front window), and he has ignored all of my requests. I would not give this business a dime of my money, they are not polite neighbors and do not care that they are disrespecting other homeowners in the area. Midtown does not need a business like this. read more

Unfortunately it looks like I must have visited them on an off day. I dropped off one blazer and pair of work pants on Friday and she woman said they would be available Saturday after 5pm. I arrived Saturday after 5, paid $9.50 for my items and happily left pleased with the experience as they had been on schedule and courteous. I got home and upon taking my clothes out of the bag noticed that my clothes had not been fully cleaned and pressed. My pants still had the creases in them from when I wore them (front thigh) and now unfortunately, had white stains on the back where the pockets were. It baffled me to see the bottom half pressed as one would expect with a completed job. My jacket still had marks on it as when I had originally dropped it off and it appeared that was never cleaned either. I immediately went back (within 10 min as I live practically next door) and spoke with the woman about this. The older woman who must be in charge does not speak much English and though she was pleasant to deal with and refunded my $9.50 did not seem to understand or care that my expensive $90 work pants were now in fact ruined thanks to her store. I brought my pants back and showed her as well as the other woman who worked there and they literally agreed with me about the white stains on the back pockets that were never there before! While trying to help me, the older woman was also eating lunch and honest to god, had food shoot out of her mouth onto my pants while she was talking. I was disgusted by that and frankly, the fact that I now have to replace a perfectly good pair of work pants because of her stores mistake. I'm disappointed because I read really good reviews about this place and felt like I could trust it. Again, perhaps they had an off day with whomever was cleaning the clothes but I came out on the short end of the stick, big time. I will not frequent this place because I do not want to have any more of my clothes ruined. read more

Very kind family that runs/owns this place. When I first visited, I brought in a huge amount of clothes and asked for a price. When it was higher than what I was willing to pay, the woman offered me a discount. So it's worth it to ask first. This is priced very reasonably for a dry cleaners and the customer service was great. They are however closed on Sundays! read more

I have used this cleaners since 2003. I lives near at that time. They are so trustworthy and nice I continued to use them after moving to Snellville.... The service is worth it. No need for a washer and dryer because they do it all and put everything on hangers........nicely. I pray I find one just like this when I move out of state this in a few months. As of today 8/28/15 this place no longer allows you to wash and dry your own clothes. The only service they offer is the one where they do it for you. They even removed all the washers and dryers except 1 or two for the owners. I live right down the road and my building has 2 washers but they are small and I liked coming to this place occasionally. The wash-n-fold that they do is not crazy expensive but it's significantly more than if you do it yourself. Mostly I'm going to miss the extra-large washers for my comforter. They charge $30 to wash it for me and it was like $5 for me to do it myself. Still nice folks but I'm a little disappointed. read more

I love this little place to go wash my clothes. I can leave and come back without worrying that my clothes will be stolen or taken out of the machine. The owners are super nice, and the lady of the house bustles around fulfilling orders that people have dropped off. If you want to get the larger washers that you can stuff two week's worth of dirty clothes in, go when it's slower, like later in the evening or early morning bc people take these quickly. I love that I have options for the size of washers that I can use. I wash clothes once a month, and spend about $10 washing and drying my and my partner's clothes. IF I don't use the ginormous washers. that includes my towels and sheets. When I used the bigger washers, I spend almost $20 washing and drying. I usually only use two dryers and dry clothes for one hour. I put all of my clothes in one, and my towels and sheets in a second. It's a quarter per 8 minutes which is great! It only takes an hour and a half at most for me to wash and dry. I love that I found this place, and don't plan on going anywhere else to wash my clothes. I have yet to try dropping off anything bc I usually wait until I have worn something a few times before I send it to the cleaners. I think It's time for me to try that out now. I walked to this laundromat from the Hyatt Place downtown (10 minutes) with a backpack full of clothes (one load). I arrived on Friday at about 3:30 p.m. and it was not packed. There were plenty of washers available. I did a wash in a medium sized washer for $2 (two days worth of workout clothes, 2 shirts, 2 pairs of jeans). A box of detergent (behind the counter, ask for it) is $1. The dryers are timed, 8 minutes per quarter. There is a table and some chairs so you can watch tv or read a book to pass the time. It is not the cleanest place (the carts have lint etc.) but a great value and quick and easy. read more

I have been a customer for over 2 years now...and right before Christmas 2008, I dropped off some clothes to be cleaned. When I went to pick them up, I was told my suit wasn't ready, that it would be ready the next day, but I was leaving to go out of town for the holidays. I told the older lady (who was the owner) that I wouldn't be back until January 2009. So, when I go back in January, my suit is still missing. I've been back three times to check - still missing. I've given them my name & number, but no one has called. It's been over a month, so I just called them again. I found out that the ownership had changed (effective December 31st - from mother to son). I just called to speak to the owner, but he wasn't in...so I spoke to the employee who answered the phone. He informed me that he knew about my missing suit, but when he asked the owner a couple of weeks ago what the status was, the new owner told him that it was resolved & not to worry about it! As a customer, my perception is that the new owner is giving me the run-around and hoping that I give up finding my suit. I am livid! It was a $250 suit + $20 for alterations that I had just purchased. Fact remains, his business lost my suit!! He owes me the money...but according to Clark Howard, the Better Business Bureau & the SE Fabricare Association (governing agency over dry cleaners - but Poncey Dry Cleaners is not a member)...there really isn't anything I can do - expcept word of mouth. SO PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Preferably a dry cleaners that is a member of the SE Fabricare Association. Technically, I could take the business to small claims court (& pay a $100 filing fee)...but there's no guarantee that the judge would rule in my favor. I spoke to some attorney friends & consumer advocate agencies, and was told that the judge might not hold the new owner responsible for the previous owner's mistakes. OMG-it's a family business!! They all worked there the whole time, but just recently transferred ownership over. If I could give zero stars, I would (but this review system requires at least one star). read more
