My dog doesn't have the best manners - but they see him for the big love that he is. They smile as big as he does when they see each other. They remember tiny details about his silly personality quirks. (Usually just seeing him once a year for a few days) They care for all of his needs and bring him so much joy. The first time they even texted details about his day to help us feel more comfortable leaving him at a new place. Every time he comes home from Sylvan, we can tell he misses all the friends he made at the kennel - human and other dog friends. Honestly, we would never consider taking him anywhere else at this point. Pro tip - the grooming and nail trimming service is worth every penny - and such a reasonable cost.

We'd never had him in daycare so I had a lot of questions and hesitation but they were prompt to respond each time. Our pup ended up having a great time with no issues with the other dogs. The two men we met that are in charge of overseeing the dogs were informative as well as understanding my nervousness about leaving him for the first time. There was ample paperwork to fill out but that proved they are cautious and fulfilling their responsibilities given their good reputation. It went so well we took him back a second day. They are a good 15 mins. off the beaten road in a very rural location but was worth the drive. Would definitely use them again if in that area.

When we have to travel and we want @ewokyorkiepoo to be taken care of, we go to Nelly's Ark. The boarding price is very reasonable ($17 USD per night) and they seem to have a very good control of their customers. The spaces for the dogs are separated by size of they'll feed either what you bring or what you ask them too. OUTDOORS This property sits in a semi-rural area, yet close to I-5, so you'll find that they take the pets out to the large, natural grass area in the back... Where they can experience outdoors for 15 minutes a day. Outdoors in the #PNW has a different meaning for different people, even for dogs. It's #outdoors nonetheless. RESERVATIONS With a large all-season all-inclusive waterpark resort such as Great Wolf Lodge a couple of minutes away, finding a spot takes time. Make sure you make your reservation in advance and remember to bring your dogs vaccination records! SERVICE It seems that only dogs are accepted, but there's an extremely friendly cat that will greet you at the lobby... I think that for the things they do, $35 a night for boarding is a price that can't be beat. They offer group play or one on one play. Drop off and pick up are easy to navigate. Their location is very close to the Great Wolf lodge. Bryan was happy to show me the kennels upon request, Scott was kind enough to give us some tips on building our dog's confidence, and Gale was professional at all times. The presentation of the facility was clean, bright, and organized. The kennels are indoors with a platform that is attached to the wall. I can tell they spent a lot of time on their website as well, providing a plethora of info for you to indulge in should you have any questions. With that said, I do have some small qualms. I sent my dog's shot records as requested via email but I did not receive a confirmation of the receipt. When I called a couple days before our reservation to double check, I had learned that they did in fact receive my email but my dog did not have all his shot records present when I thought that he did. I was flustered at the thought of driving so far on the day of to potentially just getting rejected because we were missing information. Secondly, my dog definitely didn't use the potty enough. This may not have been at the fault of the trainers considering my guy probably held it in but he had thee longest pee of his life that I've ever seen after I picked him up. Since there's no knowing for sure how often supervision over potty breaks happen, my recommendation for all the first timers would be to not board your anxious dog. Overall we are satisfied with the experience.

My husband had to physically carry him out of the vehicle. When I contacted the business, I spoke with Maddy at the front desk, who reassured me that my dog had not sustained an injury while in their care. However, I was not present and was never shown any video footage or documentation to support that claim, which left me with serious concerns about what actually happened. Months later, I received a brief email asking me to update my information in their portal. I responded honestly and shared how unsettled I still felt about the previous incident. Shortly after, a staff member called and said they would be happy to schedule grooming appointments for my dogs since they hadn't been in for a while. However, when I arrived to pick them up, I was told that my dogs were not actually scheduled for grooming but that they "accommodated them anyway." I was then informed that Friendly Grove would no longer be grooming dogs at all. The entire interaction felt incredibly confusing and dismissive, and it came across as though they were simply trying to push us out as customers. They offered a $120 credit for that service and essentially told us to find another groomer. My dogs had been going there for years, and $120 doesn't even cover the cost of a single grooming service. After years of loyalty, the lack of transparency, accountability, and communication was extremely disappointing. I expected far better treatment from a place we trusted with our pets for so long.

I brought my bitch in heat and my intact male in to be groomed. I told the groomer that she was in…read moreheat and that they were to be separated. When I came to pick them up she asked me if I wanted her to bring them to the front. I said yes, but to bring them one at a time since my bitch was in heat. Next thing I see is she is coming out with both dogs. I grabbed one of the dogs and said "No. She is in heat." The groomer responded with "I did not know that". It's one thing to make a mistake but another to lie about it. Additionally, I wrote a letter describing this situation to the owner, Vicki. The manager replied with an email. To it she attached video footage of the event. In this email she attempted to explain why the groomer came out with both dogs together. I had several people read this email to see if they could understand the explanation it. They could not. In this email the manager also tried to rephrase the groomer's statement as"'I didn't know you didn't want me to walk them together because we had just talked about that in the grooming office." It's a good thing they had the video footage because it clearly shows the groomer saying "I did not know that" in response to me saying "No. she is in heat" when she brought them out together. Again I had several people read the email. They couldn't understand it either. The email did not contain one word of apology, which would have gone a long way. I just got an email saying that they had cancelled my future boarding appointments...petty.

They did a wonderful introduction and felt comfortable the whole time. Even though the adoption didn't work out the friendliness we went felt from this was great. We look forward to more interactions with this place in the future.
