WARNING. Do not take your dog here if it needs medications. I was charged 156.00 for 2.5 days and they put my dogs in a more expensive room without telling me. 3 doses of medications were missed. 1 heart medication and 2 seizures pills never given. My dog could have died. On top of that staff and owner never knew that the medication was not provided to my dog - missed. I provided a full schedule for 2.5 days for times and qty of medications. The exact amounts to give were provided. But upon return home, some pills were still in bottle. Staff and owner never knew my beagle didn't even get all her medications.!!!!!! You will not get an invoice or receipt from this place either. I was told by staff that owner does everything on yellow sticky notes. Staff seems very caring however this place is understaffed with about 10-20 dogs in each room. I did a walk around and found no water bowls in any of the rooms. I was never compensated for the charges to date. I only got an apology. Owner takes no responsibility for processes or management of her business. Blamed mistake on 1 staff member. My dogs were also closed in a small room with the door closed when I picked them up. I would question the internal care by the management of this business and ethics behind the business itself. I brought my dogs home and they had about 4 bowls of water. Never will I take them there again. I am very lucky my beagle didn't die from missed heart medication and seizure pills. I was told that the owner is there about 1 hour every other day. This owner needs accountability if she is going to own a business. Again, staff seems caring, but understaffed and disorganized by no processes or management of the care. read more

I am new to Yelp but have be going to Pooch Place for years with my dogs. In fact I was one of the early customers at Pooch Palace at the first location. My wife and I travel at least four times per year on trips that last one to two weeks. Many of these trips are out of the country and so we must have complete confidence in the people we leave our family with. We have always been impressed with the caring staff and Jill the owner. I know she has taken pets into the emergency vet on several occasions and cares greatly for all pets in her charge. I am writing this review because I couldn't believe what I read in the "Tina C."review. I noticed the Ms. Tina has only very negative, hostile reviews to her profile. I do hope the what ever ails her passes before she blows up. I have wonder why she would leave her pet anywhere if it required constant supervision of medications especially if the dog was in the kind of shape you described. My dogs start going crazy when they figure out that are going to stay at the Pooch Palace and when we pull up to the building, it's all I can do to hold them back. They want to see their friends and romp and play the the wonderful Pooch Place. We have been taking our dogs to Pooch Palace for as long as it has been in business. It is our dogs' greatest joy! Our elderly beagle gets so excited and our little dachhund, who used to be so worried about being left anywhere, is almost beside himself to get in and see his friends. Yes, both our dogs have oodles of friends and see them again and again. No other day care provides the loving attention Pooch Palace does, and we have left our dogs for 2 to 3 weeks at a time about 10 times as we travel at least twice a year. The dogs have always come home, admittedly tired, because they've romped and had fun, but still sorry to say goodbye to their helpers and friends. We especially appreciate that there are no cages and that the folks who take care of them are loving and part of the sense of safety and good will. You and your dogs will love Pooch Palace! read more

I have been a customer of Pooch Palace for 6 years. I recently moved to the Toledo area, but still use Pooch Palace when we are away for an extended period of time. The reason is simple. They are so very caring and compassionate. My dog, Rufus, is so well cared for while he is there. They clearly treat all their clients as if they were their own family pets. Rufus boarded with them in August. He had some hot spot issues when we dropped him off. The staff became concerned when they did not get better and Jill actually took him to her vet. He required medication twice a day and a cleaning of the area once a day. I was prepared to come back from my vacation early, but they went above and beyond in their level of care. There is no other place to board your pet that would provide this level of care and service. Pooch Palace is the best! read more

It is evident that Miss Tina has a vendetta and is electing to use social media as such. Also eviddent in that she has recruited others to attempt to discredit. all I can say is that I have been associated with Jill Giesey in a business relationship for 32 years. I to am an animal caregiver, although for horses and not for dogs. I can assure you that Jill runs a fine operation. She is intelligent. compassionate for all animals, and certainly is management capable. Once she called me very early on a Sunday morning to see if I had a prescription drug on hand. Three hours later, the dogs eye was just fine. Please don't believe one person who is apparently venting a grudge.n It is also interesting to note that Ms. Tina liked to post negative reviews on multiple sites but doesn't seem to have anything positve to say about anyone. read more

Our dogsitter had pretty much retired from private home dogsitting so after reading internet reviews, we decided to try Pooch Palace for our two girls. Pooch Palace is actually a house with many rooms and the dogs have the run(all together) of certain rooms or you can arrange for a private room if your dog is not social or has special needs. The staff is very caring and down to earth, and I was put at ease immediately after talking to a few of the employees They stayed for 3 nights and when we picked them up they seemed so happy and excited as if trying to tell us what fun times they had. We are using Pooch Palace again very soon and I know now I will be able to relax and enjoy knowing my pups are in good care. read more

Pooch Palace has been wonderful for daycare and boarding for our Dobie, Harley. We have been going there since she was a pup. Because I'm home a lot I send her there when I'm going to be away from home for several hours or away for vacation. This gives her a chance to socialize with her friends and spend some of her energy. Pooch Palace is a cage free environment. Alot of times I'm scheduling daycare almost at the last minute, and Pooch Palace is great in accommodating her. The most important reason we take her to Pooch Palace, is the confidence we have in their staff. People like Mary Jo, who are pleasant, friendly and caring as we hand Harley off. I highly recommend Pooch Palace for doggy daycare and boarding. read more

We regularly take our Yorkie, Sasha to Pooch Palace for several years and have always had very positive experiences. Every dog gets special treatment. It feels like being at home for Sasha. She is small and there is consideration for a dog's size and temperament. Our Sasha had a medical issue come up while we were out of town and the staff was very attentive to notice and took her to the vet for treatment. I appreciate how Jill called to inform, her recommendation and permission. When we show up everyone remembers her name and Sasha is happy to see the staff as well. It is a relief to be away for a weekend or week and not have to feel our little dog is in stress but is well and cared for. read more

Thank you all of our loyal customers who have helped make us successful. After over 5 years in Twinsburg we relocated 3.5 miles away at the beginning of March, 2013 to a much larger and nicer facility. We have separate large and small dog play areas inside and outside. My dog Gracie has been going to Pooch Palace since she was a puppy. She is now two and a half years old and Pooch Palace is an important part of her life. She goes several times a week for day care fun, and stays overnight when I am out of town. Gracie has made many doggie friends and LOVES the folks who work at the Palace. She wiggles uncontrollably as we drive up. I know she will be happy and well taken care of when I have to be away, and that gives me great peace of mind. We love Pooch Palace! read more

We are very happy with Pooch Palace! It is a clean, happy place for our dogs to be when they can not be at home with us. The staff is very friendly both with the dogs and with the owners. We have left our dogs there several times, and have been very pleased with both the people working there and the quality of care the dogs received. I am so happy I have this place! I started taking my 3 dogs to the Pooch Palace several years ago. Even in their old age, they always get wound up and excited when we turn into the driveway! I have no doubt that they have a great time while they are there! My boys are always excited to see the employees, which I believe says a lot. We love that this place is cage-free and my dog can play with others her own size.
