Decided to try the groomers; a little pricey. They nipped my baby's underbelly, so I had to do a little first aid preventive care

Flash is a Border Collie - Poodle mix. He is almost 5 years old and weighs about 70 pounds. And his…read morefur needs regular grooming because it grows continuously. Over the years, we have bathed Flash every 2 weeks, brushed him regularly. Initially, we trimmed him at home. We have tried a couple of groomers, but were not satisfied. About 3 months ago, we tried Grooming by Lesa. We were very happy with his first grooming. They have a card they give out - Groomer's Tips: Mats. On the card they recommend a haircut every 6 to 8 weeks. So Flash went back in 8 weeks, and looked great. Recently, I booked a grooming appointment for Thursday, April 16. I was driving over at 8:30 to drop Flash off when Grooming by Lesa called and said they were overbooked and could not do Flash. After a couple of more calls, I was able to get Flash an appointment for Monday, April 20. Yesterday, 6 weeks after his second grooming session, he went back for his third grooming. This time, the grooming was a complete shave back to the skin. It was the first time he has ever been shaved by any groomer. He is a totally different dog. It will grow back. But we will never go back to Grooming by Lesa. Flash was dropped off at 8:30 in the morning. I was hoping to pick him up around 5 pm. At 4:27 pm, I received a text: "Hey this is Grooming by Lesa. I just want to let you know that Flash is really matted on his chest. He needs to go shorts. I need your permission first." I assumed that only his chest would be cut short. So I replied immediately "Okay. When can I pick him up?" The next text came back at 5:57 pm, 90 minutes later. I was already driving over because the groomer hours end at 6:00 pm "Hey you can walk in in about 10 minutes. Just finishing up his sanitary rounding his feet," I arrived at 6 pm and waited another 15 minutes. And Flash came out totally scalped. It was not a proper grooming. His look was totally unbalanced. His chest area was clipped back to his skin. His ears and tail were both a long tangled mess. This was not the first time I have waited long past the original pickup time. We are taking him to our veterinarian to make sure he is not injured. Also, Grooming by Lesa only takes cash payment. No credit cards or checks.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Animal Care Clinic, Dr. Esposito, and the entire staff!…read more My Golden Retriever puppy consumed an excessive amount of pea gravel, and I was understandably very concerned. I called my regular vet, and although I've never had any issues with them in the past, I was disappointed by how nonchalant the response was. I understand that they had no appointments available, but there was also very little empathy or reassurance. I was simply advised to take my puppy to an emergency vet or come in the next day. I then called Animal Care Clinic, and the person who answered the phone was incredibly caring, compassionate, and concerned. After consulting with Dr. Esposito, they advised me to bring my puppy in right away. Without going into all of the details, I can honestly say that Dr. Esposito and the entire staff were amazing. Although the situation could have been very serious, they kept the atmosphere calm and even lighthearted while making sure my puppy received the care and attention she needed. I am so grateful for the compassion, professionalism, and genuine concern they showed both my puppy and me. It was clear that they truly cared, and that meant so much during an incredibly stressful situation. Thank you, Dr. Esposito and the entire Animal Care Clinic team, for taking such wonderful care of my girl. I'm so grateful we found you and would highly recommend you to anyone looking for a veterinary team that genuinely cares about their patients and their families!

I had recently moved back from college and was looking for a new vet for my dog. I initially chose…read morethis place because it's close to my home and the reviews here sounded good. I can say that I do love this place and would recommend them to anyone. I've come here for my dog's nail trimmings and exams for his heartworm medication for the most part of the last six months but this week, I brought him in to get neutered. Prior to his drop off appointment, my dog had gotten into chocolate and thrown up a lot and he also got hurt at some point while I was at work. They told me that they didn't feel comfortable operating on him since he was already hurt but that they wanted to keep him for the day to examine him. Turned out that my little guy had a fever and something called intervertebral disk disease. They called me multiple times throughout the day while I was at work to keep me updated, they stayed a little after their closing hours to accommodate me getting there after work to pick him up, and they called me the next day after I took my dog home to check in and see how he was doing. They consistently welcome me when I come in the door and make sure that my dog's needs are handled to the best of their ability. I'm honestly just thankful that they care about my dog and other pets so well and I'm comfortable leaving my buddy in their hands. Definitely recommend.

I normally pay no more than…read moreapproximately $110, but the employee gave me a detailed explanation of the services and charges included in the $128 quote, and I agreed to that amount. I also initially asked about flea treatment but decided to decline it because I already have the same flea treatment they would have used at home. I dropped my cat off around 8:30 a.m. and received a call around 10:00 a.m. letting me know that he would be ready for pickup around 3:00 p.m. I arrived on time and was then told that my bill was $195, plus a $5-6 credit card service charge, bringing my total to $200.85. Before the service was performed, I was given paperwork with boxes to check indicating which services I wanted completed. I agreed only to the cleaning and nail trimming. I did not authorize the additional services or charges that later appeared on my bill. After requesting an itemized receipt and questioning the additional charges, I was told that ear cleaning was included with the cleaning service. My concern is that this was not clearly explained to me when I agreed to the original $128 quote and signed the paperwork. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled. My issue is not simply that the final bill was higher--it is that I was charged substantially more than the amount I agreed to without receiving a phone call or being asked to authorize the additional charges beforehand. Even a simple phone call explaining that the total would increase would have allowed me to make an informed decision and prepare for the additional expense. Unfortunately, this experience has genuinely made me hesitant to return for future services because I now have concerns about being charged more than the amount I was quoted and agreed to. I believe customers should be clearly informed of any additional charges and given the opportunity to approve them before those charges are added to their bill.
