Back in 2014, (and I realize that seems a bit outdated, because personnel and management and so…read moreforth, can change).... we visited deans and picked out a standalone woodstove. We set up a date for them to come out and install it and they came out on that date and did the install. They did a fine job. Fast forward to 2016 and I'm living in a new home and the decision was made to buy a woodstove from deans. This particular model although similar in some construction respects, doesn't stand in the middle of the room but rather is recessed partly inside the existing fireplace. Therefore because of that type of set up it has a blower on the bottom. The unit works well, although I miss a standalone stove, because the radiant heat is more efficient and aggressive and no blower is needed to assist the heat flow. Anyway, with regard to deans itself, the 2014 install was done on time and done well. The 2016 install was done on time and done well but I'm having a problem now with service. They don't seem to follow up as efficiently as I would've liked and here I am on the morning of the day that they're supposed to be coming out to do a cleaning and I still haven't heard from them confirming that they are in fact coming and approximately what time of day they're going to arrive. That means that I'm pretty much forced to blow off the day. It's a good thing that I'm retired and not losing money for the day that I'm taking, but I don't like the idea of having to blow off my whole day because I haven't heard from somebody. You can go to any one of their locations and see a lot of really neat stoves, and as long as you plan sufficiently far ahead, you'll probably get it done when you're supposed to, but watch out for a little things like those floor plates that are supposed to protect your house... The one that we initially bought in 2014 was warped and had to be replaced before it was ever final installed. Also be aware that later on you may discover that you cannot get service to respond to you as quickly and as efficiently as perhaps they should

Update I had a company come out and sweep the chimney and…read moreless than a baseball size amount of creosote was removed. No chemical cleaning needed. Deans was unable to tell the difference between a repair and buildup. I've also contacted Travis Industries the maker of the stove. To let them know about the experience I had with Dean's stove and spa. No customer should have to go through predatory selling tactics that deans uses. People are Travis Industries picked up the phone and at least took the time to listen. They asked for an e-mail and pictures and all of those have been sent off. Time will tell to see if anything happens. Lopi I did get back to me. So that's good. I've been not been waiting for over a week for my refund. I guess it's up to you whether or not you do business with them if you do good luck.

This is just another example of the poor customer service and the total lack of courtesy from Riverline. Poor to no customer service, much higher prices, ill trained technicians, that is what to expect from this company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! RUN!!! These people are the…read moreabsolute worst. I had used them to open and close my pool for several seasons and each year the quality of their service deteriorated but I wanted to keep giving them the benefit of the doubt. But this year they hit rock bottom. They were scheduled to open the pool on June 23rd-- pretty late in the season but I was okay with it. They arrived on 6/23, took the cover off... and left. Didn't put the extremely heavy cover (it takes at least two guys to lift it; I cannot do it on my own) in the bin where it always goes, just dumped it in front and left (see photo.) Far worse: they did NOTHING else. Did not clean the pool, test the water, ZILCH. I began frantically calling them to see when they'd be back and got NO answer. It went straight to voicemail every time and every email I sent went unanswered; never a reply. Finally I came home to work the first week of July to see the water-- which had become a murky green swamp as I frantically begged them to come back-- was now a cloudier color, as if shock had been added, but still a filthy mess (see next photo.) Went and looked and someone had come and dropped chlorine pellets into the skimmer baskets-- but hadn't even emptied the actual baskets which were JAMMED with debris and therefore no chemicals could even begin to circulate. Why would anyone working in the pool industry not empty dirty skimmer baskets as their very first step? But that's far from the worst part. I walked over to the pool equipment to see if maybe at least the filter chamber had been cleared and not only had it not been cleared-- water was shooting out of the filter valve that was now cracked and from a hose that was split. These guys had shown up and not only did nothing-- they made things WORSE. You can imagine the number of phone calls and emails that ensued. I was literally BEGGING them to please get back to me. It was now July 10th-- I had no pool for the entirety of the Fourth of July Weekend and literally no one would ever, EVER get back to me. This is a company I used for years and I couldn't even receive the courtesy of a return phone call? I couldn't even get an email? This is completely unprofessional to say the least but also, honestly, just grossly negligent and incompetent. In the end, a different company saved the day and it cost me THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS between the deep cleaning and equipment repair (new valve, new hose, labor, etc.) to fix the mess Riverline created. These guys are to be avoided AT ALL COSTS-- or else, trust me, it will cost you. I am now about to pursue them in small claims court to recoup the $$$ I am out, that's how mad I am (and I've never sued anyone in my life.) The thing is: if your company is having issues (staffing, scheduling, etc.) how hard is it to just call someone back and say "We're really sorry but we're swamped and we're down a guy and can't make this happen"?? HOW HARD IS THAT? These jerks are rude, and they're wrong. Don't use them, you will absolutely regret it, sooner rather than later.
