By Saturday morning, I noticed the tap water was exceptional hot, too hot to touch. Then, by Saturday night I ran out of hot water. Resetting the heater seemed to fix the issue, but it overheated the water again. After some researching and contemplating my options, I decided to reach out to a professional. I contacted Mark to see if he could come and diagnose my heater and offer a quote for any repairs needed. Mark was able to come over my house as soon as I was available to meet him. He was very professional and analyzed the situation and gave me a few options on how to remedy it. Most likely, the thermostat in the heater went and it would need to be replaced. But since my heater was 13 years old, another option, probably the better one, would be to replace the entire heater. Mark quoted me a very fair price to fix my heater, or replace and install a new one. Mark shared his professional opinion, and the options, without trying to sell me anything, or pressure me one way or another. I had asked Mark how soon he would be able to fix the heater, and how fast. To my surprise, Mark said he had an opening the very next day, and it would only take about an hour to install a new one. After Mark left, I discussed my options with acquaintances and family, and I decided the best decision would be just to replace the heater. A couple hours later, I called Mark and asked several more questions. He answered my questions professionally and respectfully. He was not condescending and was very patient with my inquiries. I decided to hire Mark to replace the heater. The next day he arrived with one other person, and the new heater, ready for installation. I was amazed by his speed and precision with installing the heater, piping, and electrical wire. If I had tried to install this myself, it would have probably taken me days; it took Mark 1 hour. The heater is working great, and the installation looks fabulous! After a stressful weekend of not knowing if, or when, I would have hot water, it was great to finally relax and be able to enjoy a long, hot shower with my girlfriend.

I've hired Peter White Plumbing on 3 occasions to do various plumbing work. They installed…read morebathroom fixtures and fixed minor leaks. Their prices are very high ($1,200 to change a shower head and faucet, plus fixing a leak in the water pipe leading to tub faucet). I won't be using their services again and would not recommend them for the following reasons. First, they are unreliable in that they are rarely available for urgent appointments and don't return calls for 2-3 days if at all. Second, the woman who answers the phone is consistently negative and rude. And third, the following situation: I hired them recently to check on a water main leak in my basement while I was of the country. I didn't hear back from them despite calling twice for an update. 6 days later my tenant called to tell me there was 6" of water in the basement and more was pouring in. The water company and fire department were on scene. I ended up having to hire an excavation team to replace the water main. This would have happened anyway but I probably could have avoided the 6" of water, mold and the displacement of my tenants if the plumber had actually checked the leak and advised me of the problem. To add insult to injury, I received a bill from Peter White for advising me (I never heard back from the with advice), along with an unauthorized repair to a tenant toilet. When I called Peter White to discuss the charges, the woman who I spoke with (Betty?) told me they would null the charge but that they wouldn't work with me again. I'm happy that I won't have to fight the charge but found this woman be to really abrasive and unpleasant. She informed me that they had many other happy customers and I should go elsewhere. No problem with that, any plumber that will allow a leak to fill my basement with water and then try to charge me for it doesn't deserve my business.

We are a low income…read morefamily trying to survive in this very hard and complicated times, we put our house on the market because we need to downsize due to our financial situation. Unfortunately we lost the only opportunity to move forward with the selling of our house because he was hired by the buyer to do an inspection of the septic, his report was that the septic was not working and that we need a new septic tank and new litchfields, so we called him just to get an idea of what was wrong and he mentioned that, that particular day he didn't bring the tool to dig into the tank so he started doing it by hand but it was to fuc%#* hot (his own words he was also drunk) so he stopped because only seeing it from the outside he new that they were bad so there was no point to continue digging it. (How unprofessional) he also didn't empty the tank so I don't know how he was able to do an inspection report without proper information. The only thing we had was a report by hand writing saying we need a whole new septic system. We were stuck at that moment because we were not able to do our own inspection because if we emptied the tank and another buyer wants to the their own inspection we have to wait a month and paid 2 times to empty the tank. Fortunately we had another offer and they did their inspection with a different company, the septic is working wonderfully, they recommended moving from one location to another because the tank is partially under an addition of the house. So after getting a second opinion we all came to the idea that this guys knows nothing about septic, he didn't even go inside , he didn't even know the size of the tank. The only thing he wants is rip your pockets making you go through a very expensive repair that he does (how convenient for him) please be aware, don't hire someone for an inspection that also repair and install, they will put things to benefit them on a way that the only options you have is hire them to do the job. Please beware
