Zuniga pools was referred to us by our realtor and we gave them a call. The reason we ultimately decided to use Zuniga was because their price was reasonable, their build plan was extremely easy to visualize, and they're a one-stop shop with no sub-contractors. They even have an in-house engineer that made the planning and initial approval process go beyond smooth. Other than some common upgrade recommendations that ended up being really great ideas and I'm glad we upgraded, there was never a time where I felt we were being up-charged or pressured for something. We knew the entire price before we signed the contract and there were no surprises on costs. From the first meeting with Rick, Sara's timely updates, and Jr's hand holding throughout the entire process, we passed final inspection today with no issues. Every step of the way was seamless, timely, and professional. I can't say there were any surprises and ultimately was completed ahead of schedule. They were extremely accommodating, patient, and easily accessible during the entire process. If I ever have to install another pool, there's no question that I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Now, four years later, the same issue is happening again, and the concrete needs to be replaced once more. At this point, it's clear that this is not just bad luck--it appears the original build was not done correctly. There was no proper support or retaining wall in place, which likely caused these ongoing problems. I understand warranties and time limits, but realistically, it should not take three pours to get the job done right. I really tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and hoped the first repair would fix the issue long-term. Unfortunately, it didn't. When I reached out this time, they essentially put their hands up and offered no real help, other than giving me their contractor's contact information. No accountability, no real solution. So, I have no idea where you get eight months from. It was DAYS that I notified you of the problem, not eight months. Just goes to show you how unorganized and unaware you are . Plus, it's July and I'm doing this yelp review , that's five months . I have the text messages to prove it . Also, you never addressed the other problems your company created. The damages to my cement that hasn't come out. So, no you do not provide your customers with professionalism, quality work or honest service . Stop trying to put a show on for yelp. I wanted it to pump water and it didn't. Half empty spa every morning, pump shutting down and refusing to restart. Just plain moody pool attitude nonsense. In an attempt to resolve an issue before leaving for two weeks I went to Yelp and tried to find a Pentair certified pool tech. Somehow I randomly chose Hansen Pool (obviously overlooking the "construction" part of their name - duh.) Good thing I did, however. Wes answered and, like a legit dude, walked through the situation with me. Through an exchange of photos and trial and error diagnosis we revealed the problem and got my pool's bad attitude sorted and back to pumping water. The whole process was actually kind of fun because I learned a lot more about my system than I knew before, got to (kinda) meet a really friendly guy, and come to realize I have no future in the pool industry. He declined an offer for payment. He declined an offer for a token of gratitude. He declined an offer to drive to TJ for tacos and beers. Why is this relevant since this minor league stuff has nothing to do with this guy building my pool? I'll tell you why. It says A LOT about the work ethic, values, and character at the other end of the phone when you call them. The pool industry is HUGE in SoCal. All the websites are flashy and beautiful and fill us with fantastic visions of our backyard paradise. But flashy websites are a dime a dozen and tell you little about the truth. I have more than one friend who was burned by an unscrupulous pool builder. I, myself, ended my interaction with a pool builder after having issues (and losing a down payment) before finding another one to complete my project. This Yelp review is about the character shown. Wes had absolutely nothing to gain from our interaction yet he helped me out and showed true character and you won't see that on a website.
