I do not normally write negative reviews, however I will make an exception in this case. I called Pool Pro because we wanted a 'Pro' to open it for us. We knew it would be alot of work and were willing to pay someone else to do the work. A representative came out on the scheduled day, removed the cover, threw in some chemicals and reinstalled the pump. We were left with a few rapidly scribbled notes on a service receipt that I assume were supposed to be instructions on what we needed to do before they came back to vacuum the pool three days later. The next couple days were spent with us having to constantly monitor the filter and skim the surface because that was the only way we could keep the pump running without it clogging up. A representative came out three days later (the only reason they are even getting one star is because they showed up when they said they would). They vacuumed the pool and left a large pile of what was on the bottom of the pool on the ground right in front of the pool. At this point the water is still very cloudy so I call the office and ask why. I am told this is normal and to give it a few days for the water to filter. Okie dokie. Fast forward roughly 2 weeks and there is still almost no pressure to help circulate the water and it is green and still cloudy. Call the company and am told that we need to take the pump apart and clean the filters because of "pollen". That it is a common problem and that will clear everything up. So to sum up.....we are paying upwards of $300 to skim, monitor, clean, and fix our pool ourselves for roughly one hour's worth of work to the people who claim they got our pool ready to swim in. I would not recommend anyone I know to use this company. read more

We had just moved into the area a year ago. Previous owner used Pool Pro so we continued with their service, with regret. This year we scheduled our pool opening and two young men came. They took off the cover, put in chemicals, started filter and told use it should be cleared up in 2 days. Well, did not happen. We called and spoke with someone who told us it was the same amount of chemicals as last year. That is not the point, bring an established business they should stand behind it, not give us this laim excuse. Come back and take care of the situation. We also purchased large container of chlorine from them. After paying them 400.00 plus for their services they chose not to rectify the problem. Never again, we are done with Pool Pro and will find another pool service to close and open our pool. Actually they don't even deserve 1 star. Just being generous. read more

We had been doing business with this retailer for our pool needs. They were always helpful and courteous. However their GREAT customer service came into play when we were relocating and selling our house. Our pool heater had stopped working and it was the busy spring season and of course lots of rain so needless to say the service department was backed up. The people who come to open and close my pool have always been extremely helpful. They patiently explain to me what I have to do. Likewise, those in the store are always friendly and helpful. And there are always tasty treats for you! I have spoken to several of the employees about working for the company, and without exception, they recount how well the owners treat them... As Marcus Lemonis (The Profit) says, when you take care of your employees, they will take care of your customers. But the most remarkable thing happened just minutes ago. The good folk at Pool Pro suffered a terrible loss when a short while ago a car crashed into their building hitting the chemical room and leading to a fire that burned down the place. Having lost their store and working out of the owner's house, they are presently in the process of relocating. My pool cleaning robot was at their shop for a repair. It was totally lost. A fantastic employee came by and dropped a brand new one off, at no cost to myself. He also spent time going through the manual with me showing me how to operate the new model. It is easy, or at least it should be easy, to give excellent customer service during the best of times. But Pool Pro showed an exceptional ability to care for their customers during what I can only imagine is a very stressful time for them. Thanks Pool Pro! This past year I used Pool Pro to open and close my pool. Both times they sent out someone who was extremely helpful and knowledgable about my old filter system. Also, I was able to take in water samples through the summer, and their staff helped me keep the pool clear all season. I will definitely be calling them in the spring when it comes time to open the pool back up. read more

Pool Pro saved our condo association by providing us expert consultation and recommendation to replace our damaged pool pump. They installed our two new pumps despite having a heavy work load getting pools in operation for the season. Dave (the owner), Pat, Allessia, and the rest of the staff were very professional, gracious and came to our rescue.
