We signed up in January 2026 for swim lessons and were put on a waiting list. We called EVERY…read moreSINGLE DAY and WEEK since then, and nothing. Not only are they unapologetic, but more often than not, downright rude, incommunicative, and squirrely about their programs, classes, availability, etc. Now, it was only $50, and I understand on refunds under any circumstance whatsoever forever and ever amen. But come on, if you don't offer refunds and you don't have availability for the foreseeable future, maybe don't keep on selling classes. I would love a refund or at least an acknowledgement, but nothing. Even Safe Splash offered refunds and were apologetic when their pool broke over March. They notified us right away and kept us in the loop then refunded our money (without us asking). Not sure why pods continuines to enroll new students, but I have to say, I'd recommend staying away.

Pods Swimming was a nightmare for us. Enrollment was disorganized, and my daughter was placed in…read morethe wrong class. The teacher would not let her out of the pool to use the bathroom, even while she was crying and asking repeatedly. She was forced to do skills she wasn't comfortable with, ignored despite another teacher trying to intervene, and left screaming and visibly distressed. This all happened because Pods enrolled her incorrectly. I did not ask for a refund--only that the remaining classes be saved as a credit. Instead, the director ignored my actual request, copied and pasted the no-refund policy, and advised me that they reserve the right to change teachers at any time--which was not what I was disputing. The issue was their administrative error and how it was handled. She ultimately stopped responding altogether. They kept our $90 and showed zero accountability or concern for a young child's well-being. I absolutely do not recommend Pods Swimming.

There aren't very shallow areas for the toddlers like there are at some of the other DCR pools, such as Connors Memorial Pool in Waltham, which probably helps to keep the crowds down. But the pool is very spacious and has enough space both for lap swimmers and kids playing. The spray deck just outside is great for the younger kids, too.

It's a year later and they've done extensive updates to the pool location. 1. There's now an ADA regulation ramp with rails going into the pool for those in wheelchairs or who have trouble walking. 2. They added easier steps and hand rails for children and families to enter at the opposite end (long stairs that slope gently instead of ladder style.) 3. They have added permanent shade awnings around the pool, along with wooden benches underneath them (definitely still try to come early because those get snapped up quickly.) 4. The changing rooms are the same, but entering the locker rooms, there is now almost a rubberized "curtain" of small strips to walk through that creates privacy. Previously anyone walking by in the main corridor could see directly in. 5. The splash pad/fountain area has awnings and benches around it, and is ADA accessible. As of summer of 2023, the pool is open 7 days a week from 11:15AM-6:00PM. The changes have greatly improved the property, and it's a place where you can come and stay all day instead of roasting on hot concrete. They also have water fountains and outdoor showers along the pool deck for getting a quick drink and rinsing off.
