Well I've had pool troopers for a year or so and when it was cold everything was great! Spring and summer roll in and the pool became an awful mess. I had to call to complain a handful of times because the pool was green and they weren't sweeping the walls or steps which is what I pay for. On top of that, after it wasn't getting better after multiple complaints I took a look at the filter and it was swamp green. I called a handful of time after that to confirm they are supposed to clean the filter and they said yes every time. I called to cancel but I did pay through the month to have them come out but of course no one has showed up. ****UPDATE****** I spoke to Patrick and had such a nice conversation and assured me he would have the company make it right. They were prompt and Jose was so nice when he came out. He even fished a black snake out of the pool. I would have given them 5 stars about 7 weeks ago when Chase was maintaining our pool. Now we've been dealing with Nigel, who absolutely doesn't know what he's doing! We've gone from crystal clear blue (Chase), to algae green (Nigel) UPDATE: Someone from POOL Troopers came out this past Saturday, and told me that they would return on Sunday (which was not done, and there was a language barrier). The last year with this company has been a nightmare. The problems started when our pool turned into a green lagoon and we called to see what the issue was. They said we had terminated our account with them. This was obviously not the case, and there had been some sort of admin mix-up. When Pool Troopers terminated our account, they removed our salt water unit. When we reinstated our account, they told us we would have to deal with chlorine because of "supply issues." Ever since, we have had to call PT every 3 or 4 weeks to complain of algae and tadpoles in the pool. They say a supervisor will be out, and then the pool looks ok for a few more weeks before turning green again. The final straw was this morning, when I went outside and found my pool's water level was alarmingly low and water was gushing from my pool pump. Called PT and not only did they have no record of our most recent complaint about the green pool (a week ago), they had no record of anyone coming out since April. Someone was at my house yesterday. After years of very subpar service, it seemed like Pool Troopers was finally getting its act together. After a price increase of $49.99 to $105 within about 18 months, they better have. However, it looks like they are quickly going back to their awful service. Two weeks ago, I ended up with a pitch black pool. Of course, they are closed on the weekend, so I had to get another pool company out to service my pool on the weekend. When I finally heard from the supervisor on Monday afternoon (they could not make it out till Tuesday), he informed me the "good tech left for a job in Orlando". So, I am, again, stuck with a tech that has now not shown up (it is 6pm on a Friday) even though I called their office at 3 to make sure he was still coming today. They, apparently, close at 5 so now I have an unserviced pool, again, until they decide they can shop up next week. I even called and text the supervisor at 430 to let him know the tech had not yet shown- with no reply. Perhaps they stop working before 5? Since I have a salt water filter that they can no longer service for whatever reason, I am not going to be paying $105 a month for a black pool and techs that can not even bother to show up ever other week. Responded with service and did clean algae but pump no longer working. Several calls and ten days later, service came to restart pool. Worked for one day. Called six weekdays in row for service to return. Each day, CSR told me "scheduled tomorrow" . After ten days of pump not operating, they came for regular service but did not restart pool pump. Called Tuesday to request a technician and was told one would be calling. Called today and told on schedule for NEXT Thursday. Unbelievable lack of response from this company. Looking now for new company. Patric K called at 1 pm today to discuss above review. I called back within ten minutes but he never returned call. He later posted that he had "staffing problems" but never identified that his CSRs should give approximate date for service or why I had to call to find out I was scheduled ten days after my call and continue to have issues with black algae. The pool company we used to resurface our pool uses this company as well to do a slow curing process so it doesn't damage the new surface. The guy came out every other day for a month and did the curing process. His name was Jose he was very professional, friendly and polite. I called around when I first hot here to find a service and 2 other companies said they cant take on new clients because they cant get reliable workers to show up.
