    New pool in the sunlight

I highly recommend Matt with Poolie for any pool remodel needs. Matt was incredibly easy to communicate with throughout the entire process and gave me plenty of time to decide on colors. Since they don't have a formal showroom, I was initially nervous about color choices, but Matt made sure I felt comfortable with my decision. The job ran over by a couple of days, meaning I was out of town for work when the finishing touches were applied. When I returned home, I was momentarily shocked to find the pool looking very green! I initially worried it was the wrong color, but it simply needed to be properly "shocked" instead of me! Thankfully, my remodel included a month of pool cleaning service, so everything was quickly taken care of by their team. The employees at Poolie were top-notch. They were nothing but respectful of my property, ensured everything was put back exactly as they found it, and left the site clean. I have zero complaints about their work ethic or the final result. I am very happy with my remodeled pool and their excellent service! I was just purchasing the home and the pool needed to be redone. The owners received the quotes for me. From what I was told, Poolie was the only company who had actually looked at the pool when they gave the quote because they were the ones already doing the pool maintenance. So I chose to stick with Poolie because I figured their quote would be accurate since they knew what the pool actually looked like besides, just googling the address. They held the price for me a little longer as I needed to secure funds from a previous real estate transaction. I really appreciate that. I also had them replace all of the tile. They had used my garden hose and loosened it to where I could not get it tightened and when I let Matt know, could they please tighten the outside spigot he went above and beyond and actually had them replaced the whole thing although they did not damage it they just loosened it and it was not easy for me to tighten because it was old. Thank you Matt!! You can see from the photos the new pebble pool has a darker blue gray at night it looks really cool. It's lighter in the day when the sun is out.

    BBQ in pool

During one of these strong storms this spring my large BBQ was sent 10ft by the wind and wound up in the deep end of my pool. I had no idea how to get it out till Poolie came and 2 of them went in my pool and got it out! Thank you Poolie!'

I've been a customer over the last 2 years and have consistently had problems. If you don't mind a legitimate issue quarterly, then by all means go with Poolie. They are kind and work to make things right, however the issues haven't stopped. Some a communication issues and some are staffing. Today, is probably the 5th or 6th major issue where it's a holiday weekend, no communication was sent for a change in schedule, no one came yesterday during our regularly scheduled appointment and today, Good Friday, no one is answering the phone or replying to text (first one I sent this morning at 9:42 AM) which is understandable IF they had communicated to customers the office would be closed today. I just don't know what else to do and will have to switch pool companies. annoying... and today, we have algae

Poolie bought the company I previously used and it's been a disaster. Now they have gotten my dog sick bc they can't clean up after themselves. A bunch of chlorine was left by the side of my house that I didn't see until my dog started to vomit (see pics). This was day 2 of trying to get them to rectify the situation the previous week from not cleaning my pool properly. I have had a problem with getting them out here to repair the equipment that THEY installed a year ago. It's almost impossible to get them to return a call. And when someone does return a call they always have to refer me to someone else. The someone else never calls back though.

Rip-off artists. Avoid this company like the plague. Poolie was contracted to do a leak test. Technician showed up, took a few pictures and tightened a fitting in the equiment area without looking at the pool properly. Totally missed cracks in the skimmer which was the whole reason for the leak test. Charged us handsomely. Poolie did not realize that we had a camera on the pool area documenting what was actually done. Do not trust these guys - if you must use them, make sure you are home so that they do not rip you off.

Freedom Pools - Pool Cleaning Review (1/5)…read more I had my pool fully renovated in April 2024, investing over $23,000 in repairs. Following the renovation, I continued using the new brand "Freedom Pools," as Sandy was a part owner involved in my renovation project. I trusted the continuity would ensure quality -- I was wrong. Over the past two years, I've had to spend an additional $2,400+ in repairs from outside pool service representatives just to correct issues that Freedom Pools should have handled. There were stretches where my pool received no service for weeks at a time, leaving me to deal with problems that only compounded. I had surfaced the issues showing employees not coming for weeks at at time, while I still paid for service. To Sandy's credit, when I raised concerns and he finally responded, he acted to get service restored. I'll admit, I wrongfully held on, hoping he would make things right long-term. I continued making the wrong decision by maintaining my loyalty to Sandy and his team, giving them chance after chance. But here's the core problem: his team shows up for 8-10 minutes per visit - verified by cameras. That is simply not enough time to properly service and maintain a large and deep pool, especially one with a $23,000 renovation investment behind it. The work being done in those brief visits is surface-level at best. Getting leaves out and adding chemicals. Occasionally back-washing but not vacuuming or determining root cause issues. Today was the final straw after the fourth need to externally source and pay an external pool provider -- yet another event requiring an ad hoc service call, and yet another exorbitant charge ($800) from a repair service to fix what should have been caught and handled during routine maintenance. Looking back, I could have paid the right person a higher rate from the start and avoided all of this -- the headaches, the repeat repairs, and the thousands of dollars wasted trying to save a few bucks. Lesson learned. Bottom line: If you have a pool, don't cut corners on maintenance. Freedom Pools may seem affordable, but the lack of thorough service will cost you far more in the long run.
