Long story short: Horrible owner who blames everything except her company. They also employ technicians who in my opinion do not know what they are doing. We were forced to find another pool company who could fix our green pool. *update in response to leslie's response. These are more lies. She did not try and walk me though anything. The filter was cleaned exactly 1 year ago (this is how often the old owner suggested it). i am not a pool expert, i rely on the professionals who provide the filter cleaning service to let me know when it needs it. The very day i was notified mine needed it i responded saying to please schedule it asap. I was not disrespectful to her or anyone at her business. i was increasing frustrated at her repeated ineptness* The longer story: Leslie is the worst thing that could have ever happened to this company. We had been happy customers for quite some time under previous ownership, but it has all gone downhill since she has taken over. She should really think about hiring someone to manage her company who has some idea of customer service. We get our pool cleaned weekly, however for almost a month now the pool has been green. 1st we were told it was the pollen. We got an extra cleaning and I started to make sure I was cleaning the skimmers and the top of the pool daily. Still green. Then we were told it needs to be shocked, and the filter would take care of it in a few days. Next we are told our filter needed to be cleaned. Scheduled that for the very next day after we were told. Up to this point I was frustrated of having a green pool but understanding. When the person came to clean the filter they said they also vacuumed (they did not). We were sitting out on the patio, but the guy didnt say anything and just left. I originally thought he needed a part or something because he had left a bucket behind and the filter wasnt running, but after an hour or so I was wondering if he finished and forgot to turn on the filter and his bucket. I turn on the filter and water sprays Everywere. It was obviously not put together correctly. Was it cleaned properly? Idk? I let them know and they return to tighten up the filter and grab the bucket. Gone in a couple minutes. No inspection of the water flow at the pool. We are told it will clear up in a couple days. Next cleaning rolls around and its still green. The cleaner says the filter isnt working. This is on a Friday. He says someone should come out over the weekend to figure it out. Same day I send an email to the company asking for someone in charge to reach out to me. I get a response saying Anthony will give me a ring. Wednesday comes and no word from anyone there. I call the office and im told seperate times hours apart the owner leslie is on the other line. Then I get an email saying my scheduled appointment has been rescheduled. ( I didnt have a scheduled appt). I call again and finally get to Leslie. As someone who has been a manager, all I can say is WOW. This woman should not be managing a business. She refused to take any responsibility. Blamed the pollen, the old owner, and lastly me for not knowing how often a filter was supposed to be cleaned. Paying a company to clean your pool is supposed to be stress free. If it isnt, whats the point? If you are looking for a stress free experience with competent customer service centric people stay far away from this company. Bought a house in College Station that had a pool and we used one of the local companies that advertised a ton on radio for a pool service. (A total disaster). Called "Poolie" and left a message which they promptly returned and gave me pricing right over the phone which I agreed to. Unlike the other pool service, Poolie's pool service person (Trent) came out and checked my chemical balances with a tool that registers all of my chemical levels not just a strip so the person could pick a color a guess what it needed. He was very professional and very nice. I was additionally surprised that I got a text message that he was on his way and a text message after he left with pictures of what they cleaned and my chemical balances. We had been shopping for new pool equipment and had numerous folks give us bids and it was very hard for us to make sense of the bids because it was like the other folks did not want to be honest with us. Not Poolie, I dealt with Montana and Sheerie, and I believe the General Manager. He had pictures of my equipment and walked me step by step through what they were going to replace and the why's behind it. When it came to pricing, Montana was straightforward with the pricing, we agreed on a price and that was it. Mark, I believe one of their lead installers came out and went to work. He was polite and answered all of my (sometimes dumb) questions and was really good at his craft. They had finished all of the install of pool equipment and were installing new lights when they realized they had the wrong ones. They overnighted the right ones, but they did not make it in time to be installed by Saturday and I received 3 phone calls and text messages apologizing for the inconvience. Mark installed the lights on Monday and was here until 7:30pm making sure they performed as I wanted them. I've learned a ton owning my first pool and can say that Poolie and their folks set the standard for what a pool service should be!! I would recommend them to anyone and want to thank them for treating us so well! read more

I recently had the misfortune of dealing with Poolie, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. If you're considering using their services, think again. Here's what happened: First, my pool robot needed a simple change on an attachment to get it working again. Poolie charged me around $130 for this. However, instead of fixing it promptly, they disconnected the electricity panel, leaving my pool out of service while they ordered the part. When they finally did the change, they forgot to reconnect the display. I had to follow up with them, which is almost impossible. Poolie is terrible at answering their phone, and there's virtually no way to communicate with them. After much hassle, they sent another technician who charged me an additional $170 just for an assessment. His conclusion? The entire pump needed to be replaced at a cost of $2,200. By this point, I had been without a pool pump for two months, right at the beginning of summer. Desperate for a solution, I called another pool company. They came out and fixed the problem in just 10 minutes. The issue? Poolie's technicians had switched the cables incorrectly. In conclusion, Poolie is a disaster: Horrible Customer Service: Getting them to answer the phone is nearly impossible. Ridiculous Charges: They charge exorbitant fees for every little thing, and they're more expensive than the competition. Incompetent Technicians: They charged me for an issue they caused, and their solution was completely wrong. Avoid Poolie at all costs. They charge for their own mistakes and leave you hanging without proper service. I've never experienced such a lack of professionalism and competence. read more

I was recently vacationing in Austin. While on my trip I ran into an employee for this company ,named Martin. Martin took time out of his day to answer questions from a northern tourist regarding my pool back home! Martin was able to breakdown what he felt my problem was and gave me numerous recommendations on how to resolve my issue! Martin was kind enough to give me a list of chemicals that he prefers to use as well as helpful maintenance tips that I was not hearing about back home! All in all Martin was very kind and patient in answering my questions and was extremely professional! If all other Poolie employees are as kind and as knowledgeable as Martin (and I lived in Austin) I wouldn't bat an eye in having them do my regular pool maintenance! I picked Crown Pools based on this site and the ratings so I feel compelled to write my first one in response to the below. Kenny just left and that guy is the man. He could have bought a Kia by now just on charging me trip fees for the amount of dumb questions this new salt water pool owner has had but he doesn't. He just shows up and tells me the straight truth and my best, cheapest, REAL options for solving my problem. I'm strangely looking forward to having a problem he can't fix with just expert advice so I he'll take some well deserved money off me. The pool technician Jalen is Awesome and Poolie as a company has been Great! My pool is always sparkling when they leave even if it is another technician that services my pool. I have been with them for about 1.5 years and honestly have no complaints. On the rare occasions that my pool is not serviced on my regular day, I get an email stating why and when someone will becoming. I don't have to worry or call to find out when someone will be coming, Poolie has been great with communication.
